Halving the number of global deaths and injuries from road traffic accidents is one target of the Sustainable Development Goals 2030, which is still a challenging problem in Indonesia. However, the majority of research on this topic uses accident-based methods, which limits the safety analysis. Two road safety assessment methods are used to close the gap, with the addition of non-accident-based methods such as Road Safety Audits (RSA). The Margonda Raya Road, which is categorised as a traffic accident blackspot, was selected for the case study. For this, a field survey of the road segment is carried out. To minimise …

Journal of Bioresource Management
Water contamination is a global issue and different techniques are being devised to reduce water contamination. Among these techniques, use of nanoparticles for water purification is an efficient and cost-effective method with minimum or no side effect. Metal nanoparticles are known for their antibacterial activity against various pathogens. Synthesis of these nanoparticles using green synthesis methods minimizes the harmful effects while ensuring their antibacterial activity. Therefore, in the present work, it was aimed to evaluate the microbial contamination in water samples collected from different tube wells and filter plants located in different areas of Lahore, Pakistan for the isolation of …

Raw Milk Collection Diversity And Determinants Of Physicochemical And Microbiological Quality In Algerian Small Farms, Nasria Benamara, Houari Yerou, Hamza Belkhodja, Toufik Madani
Journal of Bioresource Management
Milk sector in Algeria presents lasting supply instability and its development policy has not achieved the expected results. The interest in developing local dairy production therefore has been a priority for public authorities. Our work aims to analyze raw milk collection diversity at the GIPLAIT dairy in Tizi (Mascara) and assess their physicochemical and microbiological quality. The typology of raw milk collection was determined from upstream, the farm to the dairy processing factory. The quality of the milk was determined by carrying out both physicochemical analyses (pH, Dornic acidity, butter content, protein content, density and total dry extract) and microbiological …
