Theologians, Political Influencers, Organizers, Founding Mothers, White Feminists: Evangelicalism Recast As Revolution, Through The Life Works Of Hannah More And Phyllis Schlafly, Taylor Valci
Effervescence: Yale Divinity School's Student Journal of Religion
Nearly two hundred years and an ocean apart, Hannah More and Phyllis Schlafly occupied the same impossible set of roles: theologians, political influencers, organizers, founding mothers, and white feminists. What they shared most deeply, however, was evangelicalism. This essay argues that their life works require evangelicalism to be recast not as a stable denominational throughline, but as a reactionary religious revolution: a recurring form of conservative Christian mobilization that emerges when national security and Christian order are perceived as threatened by secularization, women’s expanding public authority, revolution, or global disorder. Read comparatively, More and Schlafly reveal how evangelical women turned …

Journal of Science Education for Students with Disabilities
Despite the global emphasis on equity and the need for inclusive science education, students with disabilities (SwDs) encounter persistent barriers in college-level science learning environments. While prior research has explored isolated challenges faced by SwDs, few studies have examined how these challenges vary across science disciplines. Yet, science education research is often situated within distinct disciplinary traditions, such as biology education research or geoscience education research, known collectively as Discipline-Based Education Research (DBER). Understanding the disciplinary distribution of research on SwDs is essential to identifying gaps and fostering cross-disciplinary learning. This study maps trends and patterns in the disciplinary affiliations …

Tool Or Social Actor? How Ai Perception And Interaction Modality Influence Perceived Credibility Of Communicative Ai Over Time, Stefanie H. Klein, Sonja Utz
Human-Machine Communication
People increasingly interact with conversational agents based on artificial intelligence (AI) for a variety of tasks. While these communicative AI (comAI) systems often produce responses that are natural and engaging, the information they provide is not always correct and unbiased. This makes it essential to understand how users perceive the credibility of such systems. Drawing on data from four waves of a longitudinal survey (NT1 = 618, NT4 = 485), we investigated how active users’ perceptions of comAI as a tool or social actor and their primary interaction modality (text vs. voice) influence the credibility perceptions of comAI, both cross-sectionally …

Hair salon owners and leaders are concerned about employee retention because it directly affects their ability to sustain business operations. Grounded in Wayne McPhee’s sustainable activity model, the purpose of this qualitative pragmatic inquiry was to explore the strategies hair salon owners and leaders used to retain employees and sustain business operations. Participants included eight hair salon owners or leaders who had successfully retained employees and sustained business operations for at least 5 years. Data from semistructured interviews with the participants were analyzed using Braun and Clarke’s six-step …

The unsteady flow of a tangential hyperbolic fluid with temperature in the presence of a sublimation medium and an exponential surface was discussed in this article. The law of conservation of mass, energy, and momentum is essential to the model of matter. To make it easier to identify solutions, the partial equations were converted into ordinary equations. We refer to this approach as the homotopic method. To explain the results, the Mathematica program was used to find the solutions and graphically depict them. The impact of the parameters on velocity, temperature was discussed, which are Random motion factor (Nb …

In a production system, rework plays a key role in reducing waste and efficiently managing manufacturing costs. The proposed model addresses a system with batch arrivals, a single server, and a two-stage bulk service with inspection, two rework cycles, and multiple vacations. First, batches are processed in stage 1, some of which may require rework during the same cycle, albeit with a certain probability, while others proceed to stage 2. After stage 2, batches are inspected, and if evidence of nonconformities is found, they are reworked with a certain probability. After inspection or rework, batches are processed according to the …
