The Reality And Challenges Of Using Artificial Intelligence Applications To Teach Children With Disabilities From The Perspective Of Their Teachers, Samirah Abdu Ahmed Bahkali
The Reality And Challenges Of Using Artificial Intelligence Applications To Teach Children With Disabilities From The Perspective Of Their Teachers, Samirah Abdu Ahmed Bahkali
University of Bisha Journal for Educational Sciences
The study aimed to explore the reality and challenges facing teachers of people with disabilities using artificial intelligence (AI) educational applications in teaching children with disabilities in early childhood schools in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A descriptive-analytical approach was used to collect data. The study sample consisted of 106 (41 males, 65 females) teachers of students with disabilities in early childhood education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The results showed that, from the perspective of teachers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the use of AI educational applications in teaching children with disabilities is weak. The study results …
Skin Cancer Image Classification Using Deep Learning With Data Segmentation Technique, Akhilesh Kumar Shrivas, Hema Vastrakar
Skin Cancer Image Classification Using Deep Learning With Data Segmentation Technique, Akhilesh Kumar Shrivas, Hema Vastrakar
Karbala International Journal of Modern Science
The human skin is an impressive organ and structural element often impacted by a diverse range of recognized and unknown diseases. Diagnosing disorders that affect the outermost layer of the body is the most uncertain and difficult component in the scientific field. Dermatological diseases are one of the most significant health concerns in the 21st century since their identification is challenging and costly, plagued with challenges and the subjectivity that comes with human interpretation. The main objective of this piece of research work is to develop a robust model for the classification of skin cancer diseases using deep convolution neural …

Climate Shocks And State Formation: The 1970 Bhola Cyclone And The Birth Of Bangladesh, Sultan Mehmood, Ahmed Mushfiq Mobarak
Climate Shocks And State Formation: The 1970 Bhola Cyclone And The Birth Of Bangladesh, Sultan Mehmood, Ahmed Mushfiq Mobarak
Discussion Papers
State formation through secession often requires two critical steps: building mass support for independence, and engaging in violent conflict against a state resisting territorial loss. Combining satellite data with archival sources, we statistically document how exposure to the 1970 Bhola cyclone in East Pakistan which killed 350,000 people led to a rise in separatist sentiments expressed in voting booths, and later induced citizens to take up arms against the government and engage in guerrilla warfare. We identify the cyclone as a focal point that helped galvanize dispersed separatist sentiments into an organized political movement and war, in part by revealing …

Arizona’S Experiential Learning Opportunities: Regional Security Operations Centers And Cybersecurity Clinics, Joshua Kipers, Paul Wagner, Robert J. Honomichl
Journal of Cybersecurity Education, Research and Practice
The increasing frequency, sophistication, and economic impact of cybersecurity incidents have intensified the global demand for a skilled cybersecurity workforce. Traditional academic programs often fail to provide the applied experience necessary to prepare graduates for the rapidly evolving threat landscape. This paper examines Arizona’s innovative approaches to experiential cybersecurity education through the establishment of Regional Security Operations Centers (RSOCs) and the Arizona Cybersecurity Clinic. These initiatives integrate Kolb’s Experiential Learning Theory and the NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework to align academic preparation with real-world practice. The RSOCs, supported by the Arizona Department of Homeland Security, provide paid student internships focused on …
Trust-Based Adjustment Of Measurement Discrepancies In Distribution Networks, Zhiwei Huang, Yachen Tang, Chee-Wooi Ten, Guangyi Liu
Trust-Based Adjustment Of Measurement Discrepancies In Distribution Networks, Zhiwei Huang, Yachen Tang, Chee-Wooi Ten, Guangyi Liu
Michigan Tech Publications
This paper addresses security challenges in modern electricity distribution systems, where supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) and advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) networks are increasingly exposed to cyber threats and fraudulent activities, leading to metering discrepancies. As smart grids become more interconnected, identifying compromised meters and devices at scale requires a robust inference framework. While alarm systems provide real-time detection of anomalies such as abrupt energy consumption changes, data losses, and security breaches, the lack of seamless integration between SCADA and AMI alarm data limits their effectiveness. To enhance grid security and resilience, this paper presents a data-driven approach for …
