The Resource Characteristics Of Small And Medium-Sized Enterprises (Smes) And The Impact Of Platform Participation On Business Performance, Xue Tan Nov 2025

The Resource Characteristics Of Small And Medium-Sized Enterprises (Smes) And The Impact Of Platform Participation On Business Performance, Xue Tan

Dissertations and Theses Collection (Open Access)

Against the backdrop of deeply integrated digital and platform economies, the resource characteristics of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and platform participation’s impact on business performance have emerged as key interdisciplinary research focuses between strategic management and digital economy studies. Building upon the resource-based view (RBV) and dynamic capabilities theory (DCT), the study establishes a theoretical framework of “resource characteristics-platform participation-business performance.” It systematically examines the relationships and moderating mechanisms among SMEs’ resource endowment, platform embedding strategies, and performance outcomes.

The study adopts a mixed-method design, combining quantitative analysis with qualitative case studies. Using valid samples of 333 Chinese SMEs, …

Symbolic Execution Engine For Dynamic Analysis Of System Software, Pansilu Madhura Bhashana Pitigala Arachchillage Nov 2025

Symbolic Execution Engine For Dynamic Analysis Of System Software, Pansilu Madhura Bhashana Pitigala Arachchillage

Dissertations and Theses Collection (Open Access)

System software, like any regular software, is prone to errors. It plays a specific role in a computer system by managing the underlying hardware and providing a platform to execute the application software. Defective or vulnerable system software can be exploited by attackers to compromise the entire system. Therefore, the system software must be studied and thoroughly analyzed to evaluate its security. However, due to the inherent complexity and its close interactions with the hardware, analyzing system software is a challenging task. As a result, there is a lack of tools and techniques capable of effectively analyzing system software.

Enhancing Multi-View, Multi-Modal Sensing, Perception And Actuation For Edge Intelligence, Dhanuja Tharith Wanniarachchige Nov 2025

Enhancing Multi-View, Multi-Modal Sensing, Perception And Actuation For Edge Intelligence, Dhanuja Tharith Wanniarachchige

Dissertations and Theses Collection (Open Access)

Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) technologies have ushered in exciting new advances in intelligent sensing, perception, and actuation for many real-world cyberphysical systems (CPS) applications. These technologies have had a formidable impact in domains such as large-scale video surveillance, autonomous transportation and robotics, precision healthcare, and industrial automation. In these applications, sensors and actuators are often collocated with processing nodes, and such nodes are typically interconnected via wireless networks. Vision-based machine intelligence, exemplified by tasks such as object detection, object tracking, and activity analysis, is a very common enabler of such CPS applications. Efficient execution of Deep Neural Network (DNN) …

Inventory Assortment Model For Retailers With Multi-Level Substitution Of Products, Gian Paolo G. Guiao, Gabriel John L. De Leon, John Kenneth P. Punongbayan, Kathleen L. Baldoz, Ven-Rem Bill A. Pasion, Angelo C. Ani Nov 2025

Inventory Assortment Model For Retailers With Multi-Level Substitution Of Products, Gian Paolo G. Guiao, Gabriel John L. De Leon, John Kenneth P. Punongbayan, Kathleen L. Baldoz, Ven-Rem Bill A. Pasion, Angelo C. Ani

Journal Article

Ensuring a sufficient inventory level at the retail stage of the supply chain is essential to meet customer demand. However, determining the ideal quantity of products to be ordered by a retailer is challenging when there is a substitution of products. This study addresses the occurrence of customers substituting products in the store in case of product unavailability by developing a two- phase stochastic optimization model. The first phase created a discretized demand profile, one of the novelties of this study, that allows customers to substitute up to two attempts. The second phase developed a mixed-integer program (MIP) model that …

Perceived Courier Service Quality On Online Sellers’ Intentions To Reduce Overpackaging, Freya Jiana T. Arellano, Marc Immanuel G. Isip Nov 2025

Perceived Courier Service Quality On Online Sellers’ Intentions To Reduce Overpackaging, Freya Jiana T. Arellano, Marc Immanuel G. Isip

Journal Article

This study focused on understanding the intentions of Filipino online sellers to reduce overpackaging, recognizing their pivotal role in addressing packaging waste. Specifically, the study employed Ajzen’s Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and extended it by integrating Perceived Courier Service Quality (PCSQ) to explain Filipino online sellers’ intentions to reduce overpackaging. Additionally, the study examined the mediating role of TPB constructs in the relationship between PCSQ and these intentions. Quantitative data collected from 182 Filipino online sellers revealed positive intentions among these sellers to reduce overpackaging. Results from the Partial Least Squares – Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) identified Attitude and …
