Strategies To Enhance Health-Promoting Schools Based On The Global Standards For School Administrators, Nachanan Suphasirisuk, Piyapong Khaikleng

Background: Health-promoting schools (HPS) are a key strategy for improving student health and supporting national education policy. Despite its importance, evidence on the implementation of global HPS standards (GSHPS) in diverse school settings in Thailand remains limited.

Method: A quantitative-dominant, two-phase design was used. Quantitative data were obtained from 498 school administrators using validated assessment tools (S-CVI = 4.62–5.00; α = 0.935–0.967). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression. Qualitative data were collected through focus groups with nine administrators and experts to contextualize quantitative patterns and provide practice-oriented insights regarding implementation feasibility.

A phenomenological examination of the proposal review process suggests that a good idea is a necessary – but not sufficient – condition for securing funding to support research, scholarly, and creative projects. Funders of all sorts and sizes receive thousands of proposals each year, but they can fund only a fraction of those. Experience as a reviewer, and other evidence, suggests that a constellation of intangibles called “positioning,” a concept first articulated in the context of research development circa 2006, plays a significant, frequently determinative role in funding success. Introduction: – Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) cadets must balance collegiate demands with military preparation, leaving them vulnerable to psychological stressors. While structured strength and conditioning (S&C) programs enhance physical readiness, their impact on psychological health in cadet populations remains unclear. This study evaluated changes in depression, eating behaviors, sleep quality, and emotion regulation during a 12-wk S&C program. The work presents the effects of some pertinent parameters on blood flow through bifurcated artery to enhance tumor treatments. Combining appropriately the basic equations, together with the fractionalized Maxwell fluid model allow us to determine the velocity, temperature and concentration of blood flow through bifurcated artery. The study adopted the Atangana-Baleanu fractional time derivative on fluid model to describe the non-Newtonian behavior of blood flow. To fill the gap in the current literature, the purpose of this dissertation was to explain how and why Street-Level Bureaucrats (SLBs) in public higher education helped psychologically at-risk students during the pandemic. This qualitative study was intended to examine the role of SLBs in public higher education as it relates to their utilization of administrative discretion when advising psychologically at-risk students. Federal habeas is a mess. The reason is the current doctrine’s myopic proceduralism: its obsession with limiting relief through stringent and Byzantine procedural rules. This has transformed our system of federal postconviction review into an impassible thicket of procedure that forecloses merits review in even strong cases; ensnares everyone in difficult threshold questions; and delays dispositions. Habeas today is thus unfair, opaque, and inefficient, and it fails to promote its own values: fairness, judicial economy, federalism, finality, anti-gamesmanship, and non-technicality. Utilizing food-derived bioactive polysaccharides in advanced biomedical applications offers significant potential. To effectively harness the inherent bioactivity of Poria cocos, a renowned edible and medicinal fungus, we developed a multifunctional double-network composite hydrogel (CPS) via a feasible one-pot strategy. This was achieved by incorporating functional carboxymethyl pachymaran (CMP) into a matrix of food-grade sodium alginate (SA) and polyacrylamide (PAM). This formulation endows the hydrogel with excellent extensibility, rapid self-healing capabilities, and strong tissue adhesion, all while preserving the biological activity of the natural macromolecules. In a mouse full-thickness skin defect model, the CPS significantly accelerated wound recovery, achieving a healing …

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) presents a significant public health burden in Sierra Leone. Although the estimated prevalence was 8.7% in 2021, comprehensive statistical data has been limited in general. Programmatic interventions for HBV control such as systematic screening and vaccination have remained limited as well. The purpose of this quantitative cross-sectional study was to examine the relationship between screening and vaccination practices and HBV prevalence in Sierra Leone while controlling for age, sex, education and health care access. Biomass contains up to 14 essential elements that serve as nutrients for plant growth and development, including photosynthesis and enzyme functionalities. These elements in different chemical forms (e.g., minerals) constitute the inorganic fraction of biomass and can cause operational issues in thermal and biochemical biomass conversion technologies. In biomass gasification and pyrolysis processes, for instance, inorganics can cause fouling, tar formation, and corrosion. Justices Thomas and Barrett established the initial terms of that debate in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, Inc. v. Government speech shapes public health outcomes, yet political incentives often lead officials to either remain silent about emerging threats or subordinate scientific evidence to partisan goals. This Article examines how three factors interact to influence public health: the constitutional status of health-related speech, the political economy of public health policymaking, and the modern information environment. Drawing on insights from public choice theory, we demonstrate how misaligned incentives lead political actors to avoid communicating about health risks or spread misinformation that serves their short-term interests at the expense of population health.
