The labor market participation of refugee women was only 6%. The United States had the maximum employment rate for the refugee women population, which was 40%, as compared to 6% in Germany, Lebanon, and Jordan (Kabir & Klugman, 2019). Refugee women faced many challenges in labor force participation and especially in entrepreneurship. As demonstrated by Desai, Naude, and Stel (2020), refugees faced challenges like cultural integration, language barriers, level of education, and acceptance of education merits. Within the modern era of performative inclusivity and widespread greenwashing, it is critical to examine popular media through an ecocultural lens to determine if said media is being handled responsibly as a social practice and if a discursive atmosphere is being created. This paper takes an ecocultural critical analysis of Disney’s worlds of Frozen and Moana, inspecting their treatment of the human, treatment of the more-than-human, and human/more-than-human relationships. NCAA settlement, finalized in June 2025, allowed Division I universities to directly share athletic revenue with student-athletes for the first time, resulting in up to $20.5 million in new annual costs per institution. This thesis explores how this model affects the athletic department's financial reporting and long-term sustainability. This thesis examines the 2025 reinstallation of the “Foundations of American Art” galleries at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas as a case study through which to analyze how museum narratives are constructed, negotiated, and presented in the twenty-first century. Drawing on the historiography of museum display, from early modern cabinets of curiosity to nineteenth-century salon-style exhibitions, it argues that galleries function not as neutral containers for objects, but as interpretive frameworks shaped by curatorial decisions, spatial organization, and institutional context. This thesis examines how nationalism and cosmopolitanism have changed as political identities under intensified globalization, treating them not as opposites but as overlapping, variably activated networks of belonging. Drawing on constructivist theory and debates on universalism, it analyzes World Values Survey data from Waves 5–7 (2005–2022) using repeated-measures ANOVAs on indicators such as national pride, willingness to fight for one’s country, national-citizenship identification, immigration attitudes, world-citizen identification, cross-national trust, and confidence in the United Nations. The findings show a dual erosion of both national and world-citizen identifications in the late 2010s and early 2020s, alongside stable or improving pragmatic orientations …

This thesis examines the determinants of Brazilian inflation in the context of demand-pull and cost-push dynamics. The study aims to assess whether inflation in Brazil is primarily driven by demand-side pressures, supply-side factors, or a combination of both. For the empirical analysis, three ARDL models are estimated using quarterly data from 2006 to 2025. The first model includes only demand-side variables, the second focuses on supply-side variables, and the third incorporates both demand and supply factors. The results indicate that inflation in Brazil cannot be fully explained by either demand or cost pressures in isolation; rather, it arises from the …

Natural Dye Sensitized Solar Cells (NDSSCs) derived from various plant sources have garnered attention for their simple, cost-effective, and eco-friendly extraction methods, which are more scalable than those of their synthetic counterparts, which often utilize rare or toxic inorganic metals. NDSSCs utilize the photosynthetic properties of the plant extracts to generate electricity. Raw Delonix regia flower pigments are rich in carotenoids, anthocyanins, and polyphenols. However, the direct use of the flower extract that contains so many pigments could reduce the capacity of the dye molecules to bind with TiO2 due to the aggregation of pigments. This article critiques the ethical authority granted to AI plagiarism detection systems, using humor to expose a serious contradiction in these algorithms. Through a case in which an original ethics manuscript is labeled 40.7% “non-original,” the authors argue that similarity scores are mistaken for judgments of misconduct. They introduce the concept of “epistemic substitution” to describe how tools that both judge originality and offer AI rewrites replace human authorship while mandating human accountability. The paper contends that this collapse of roles undermines scholarly integrity, conflates disciplinary fluency with plagiarism, and shifts ethical responsibility from humans to procedures. Arguably the most convoluted concept lurking within bankruptcy law is that of the "executory contract" which may be found within section 365 of the bankruptcy code. Since its inception in 1978, this section has been dubbed one of the most "psychedelic" areas of American jurisprudence. The phantasmagoric nature of this section largely derives from Congress declining to provide a definition within the Code for executory contracts. Louisiana recently passed a law requiring that a display of the Ten Commandments be placed in all public school classrooms in the state. The law is currently facing an Establishment Clause challenge in the Fifth Circuit. This Comment argues that Louisiana’s Ten Commandments law does not violate the original public meaning of the Establishment Clause. The history of the Establishment Clause suggests that noncoercive support of religion was widely accepted before and up through the time of the First Amendment’s enactment. Following Kennedy v. Counterfeit sneakers and clothing continue to grow at an unprecedented rate, creating a global market valued between $400 and $800 billion and posing significant challenges for both consumers and fashion brands (Cardona, 2024). This study investigates the motivations behind counterfeit purchases, the economic and social factors that sustain counterfeit culture, and the effectiveness of current authentication resources. Using qualitative content analysis of discussions across 4 selected Reddit communities, the research identifies five dominant themes influencing counterfeit consumption: financial constraints, social display, authenticity and identity, ethical rationalization, and functional use. This study examines the rise of hyper-feminine fashion within Gen Z and the role that social media plays in shaping trends. Through a social media content analysis, this study explores how hyper-feminine fashion and aesthetics gained popularity and how it is perceived by Gen Z women. The findings suggest that Gen Z associates hyper-feminine fashion with empowerment, agency, and a sense of nostalgia redefining and challenging traditional expectations of femininity. This paper examines how caseworker turnover is portrayed in New York State foster care assessment documents published between 2014 and 2024. Utilizing a qualitative content analysis (QCA) approach informed by Margrit Schreier’s methodology, this study evaluates publicly available government reports, assessment documents, policy documents, and audit reports to identify how turnover is represented, what causes are highlighted, and what consequences are downplayed. The data reveals that turnover is often framed as an administrative issue rather than a workplace welfare crisis with extensive emotional and relational impacts on caseworkers, children, and families. The state of Tennessee played a central part in the battle for ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment, which would secure women’s right to vote. While the showdown in Nashville in August 1920 when suffragists and anti-suffragists descended upon the city to lobby for their respective sides gained a lot of attention for the state’s role in woman suffrage, the increasing opportunities of women outside the domestic sphere helped launch the suffrage movement. This thesis examines the industrial organization and competitive dynamics of Aramark Corporation within the global contract catering and institutional hospitality industry. Using the Structure–Conduct–Performance (SCP) framework alongside transaction cost economics, this study evaluates how market concentration, labor investment, long-term contracting, and pricing strategies influence Aramark’s behavior and performance relative to its primary competitors, Compass Group and Sodexo. Financial data from Statista and company annual reports are used to construct concentration measures, including the three-firm concentration ratio and the Herfindahl– Hirschman Index, in order to assess industry structure. My thesis, The Great Divide: An Investigation of Digital Literacy with African American Seniors, explores how race, age, and income shape access to technology and digital learning. Many African American seniors continue to face barriers to digital literacy due to limited resources, lack of exposure, and social inequalities. Using a qualitative approach, I conducted a focus group to hear directly from seniors about their experiences with technology, what challenges they face, how they feel about using it, and what support they need. This thesis examines the work of Afro-Puerto Rican artist Nitza Tufiño through Yoruba iconography, diasporic memory, and gendered Nuyorican identity. Grounded within the cultural and political context of the Nuyorican Movement of the 1960s and 1970s and, this study argues that Tufiño’s visual practice reframes suppressed African spiritual symbols through a woman-centered perspective, positioning Black femininity and spiritual labor as sites of resistance to colonial erasure and racial marginalization. Drawing upon Yoruba-derived cosmologies, Santería, and processes of visual syncretism, Tufiño integrates African, Indigenous Taíno, and Caribbean traditions to articulate a gendered visual language rooted in care, ritual, and collective memory. …
