The digital transformation of public and private institutions across the Global South has produced a paradox: as states digitize government services, financial systems, and citizen records, an increasing share of this data is hosted on servers physically located in the United States, the European Union, and other developed economies. The 2022 release of large language models rapidly introduced generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) into counselor education and supervision (CES). This scoping review mapped the GenAI literature base to evaluate applications, ethical implications, theoretical frameworks, and alignment with 2024 CACREP curriculum domains. PsycINFO, ERIC, Scopus, and PubMed were searched for peer-reviewed literature published from January 2015 to June 2026. Fourteen sources, three conceptual and eleven empirical, met inclusion criteria, all published between 2023 and 2026. Analysis revealed five application clusters, dominated by AI-simulated clients. Fighting Fraud With Two Hands Tied Behind Your Back: Health Care Fraud In The New Administrative State, Joan H. Krause

Journal of Law and Health

Although not directed at health care fraud, recent Supreme Court administrative law decisions—particularly Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo and SEC v. Jarkesy—have destabilized the administrative foundations of federal health care fraud enforcement. The end of Chevron deference has shifted interpretive authority from agencies to courts, potentially increasing challenges to regulations and other administrative interpretations while encouraging agencies to rely more heavily on informal and less stable forms of guidance. Jarkesy further complicates enforcement by threatening the legality of civil monetary penalties, a common administrative penalty in health care fraud cases. The relocation of Indonesia's capital city from Jakarta to Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN) in East Kalimantan has officially been framed as a response to Jakarta's environmental crisis and a vehicle for national economic decentralization. Drawing on David Harvey's theory of the socio-spatial fix, this paper argues that IKN is better understood as a state-led strategy, operated to resolve crises of capital accumulation through the reorganization of land, infrastructure and territory in Kalimantan. This phenomenon has emerged through the alignment of state authority and capitalist interest rather than through a single, deliberate plan. The paper traces this fix through three interlocking …

The Influence Of Nahwu Mastery Through Nazm Al-'Imrithi On The Ability To Understand Fathul Qarib Among Students Of Darussalam Islamic Boarding School Kartasura, Nirmala Hamaz

This study examined the effect of Nahwu mastery based on Nazm Al-‘Imrithi on the ability to comprehend Fathul Qarib among students of Darussalam Islamic Boarding School, Kartasura. A quantitative survey design was employed involving 25 Imrithi-class students selected through saturated sampling. Data were collected using achievement tests and analyzed using Pearson Product-Moment correlation. The findings showed that students’ Nahwu mastery was categorized as very good (M = 80.24), while their ability to comprehend Fathul Qarib was fairly good (M = 78.80). The correlation coefficient was 0.4768, indicating a positive and moderately strong relationship. Nahwu mastery contributed 22.73% to students’ comprehension …

Through previous research, attention has been drawn to the burden experienced by next of kin to someone struggling with self-harm, yet less attention has been given to how they experience and make sense of the relational and existential complexity of this role in their everyday lives. We asked how next of kin experienced and made sense of caring for a loved one who self-harmed. We conducted in-depth interviews with fourteen next of kin, including parents, partners, and siblings, and analyzed the data through reflexive thematic analysis within an interpretive qualitative framework. This article examined how silence and whispering shape participation in an L2 pragmatics course for English majors at a Vietnamese university. Using a duoethnographic approach, we, as lecturer–researchers and the sole participants in this study, engaged in written dialogic exchanges over a 12-week semester, drawing on salient classroom incidents and institutional texts as prompts. Our dialogues revisited scenes in which students were quiet or whispered in Vietnamese, and we interrogated our shifting interpretations of those moments in light of scholarship on silence, L2 pragmatics, and language policy. This paper explores the epistemology of mourning through the lens of two Asian American scholars pursuing doctoral degrees at a Midwestern university. We examine how racialization in Midwestern educational institutions reflects a broader historical and cultural distancing from Vietnamese immigrants and refugees, despite a shared geopolitical past. Employing critical collaborative autoethnography as both method and remedy, we engage in a dialogic process of uncovering and understanding our collective memories and lived experiences. This approach empowers us to confront hegemonic narratives and reclaim our identities as immigrant scholars navigating predominantly white academic spaces.

However, its global visibility remains limited due to fragmented translation practices and inadequate systematic documentation. This study maps the contribution of English translations of Saudi literary works in terms of their visibility, sustainability, and cultural impact within the international literary landscape. The mixed-methods approach adopted in this study integrates bibliometric analysis of 300 English translations of Saudi works with qualitative data sourced from translators, publishers, academics, and international readers represented through publicly available reader reviews and online responses. Assessing parameters in autoregressive (AR) models is a fundamental aspect of time-series analysis and is widely used in fields such as finance, climate science, and engineering. Ordinary least squares and maximum likelihood estimation are commonly used for this purpose, but their performance can be affected when the estimation process is subject to complex constraints. This study explores the experiences of one doctoral researcher and two doctoral peers navigating mentor-mentee relationships through a literary lens, employing autoethnographic methods to capture the nuanced dynamics of guidance, expectation, and emotional labor. Data were drawn from narratives found in reflective journals, personal memos, email exchanges, text messages and conversations with four faculty mentors and two doctoral peers accumulated through the doctoral journey.  The narratives were analyzed using thematic analysis. Inclusive education has been in place for approximately three decades in Hong Kong, and previous research has predominantly focused on examining its effectiveness from the perspectives of teachers, policy makers, and healthcare professionals. However, there has been limited investigation into the personal experiences of students with special educational needs (SEN) who are integrated into mainstream schools. In this study, we analyze how beginning teachers in Chile construct meanings around resilience during their first year of professional induction, within a context of intensified teachers’ work and limited institutional support. Drawing on a socioecological perspective and Critical Discursive Psychology, we developed a qualitative design focused on interpretative repertoires. Ten beginning teachers from various subject areas, educational levels, and regions participated, with each being interviewed at two time points, six months apart. This perspective argues that the same trend also creates a consequential challenge for human resource development (HRD). Novel derivatives of 1,2,3-triazoles bearing a saccharin part (4a-g) were synthesized and produced as promising antioxidant compounds. FTIR, ¹H NMR, and ¹³C NMR spectroscopy were used to confirm the structures of the produced compounds. The in vitro synthesized compounds' antioxidant activity was evaluated using the DPPH radical scavenging test. The evaluation revealed that compound 4e exhibited the highest scavenging activity with an IC₅₀ value of 34.65 ± 0.53 μg/mL, outperforming the reference standard ascorbic acid (IC₅₀ = 46.38 ± 0.27 μg/mL), while compound 4f demonstrated significant free radical scavenging action with an …

I wrote this paper to support qualitative researchers in accessibly engaging with poststructural discourse analysis. In it, I detail how I flexibly adapted this methodology to meet my study’s aims. I begin by outlining poststructural understandings of discourse and explaining why a researcher may choose a poststructural discourse analysis for a study’s theoretical and methodological framework. While published poststructural discourse analyses commonly draw upon Foucauldian concepts to guide analysis, in this paper I share a more expansive approach. Gender studies is an interdisciplinary field spanning higher education institutions globally. Yet the experiences of scholars within specific regional contexts remain understudied. This study examines the lived personal and pedagogical experiences of gender studies and gender communication scholars in the Midwest. Using a qualitative approach, semi-structured interviews were conducted to explore participants’ experiences, perceived pressures, and responses to the current political and academic climate. Interview questions focused on the challenges scholars face as well as the communicative practices they adopt in response to shifting attitudes toward gender studies. This essay distinguishes "Debate" — competitive, tournament-driven, and governed by fixed procedural rules — from "debate," rhetoric's older practice of persuading an audience. Drawing on the dual etymology of "format" (to shape, and to arrange data for machine processing) and on Goodhart's law, the essay argues that competitive format has displaced audience assent as debate's real aim, training students to satisfy a judge's rules rather than move real listeners. As an alternative, it proposes a co-curricular model rooted in the university rather than the tournament circuit, treating rules as adaptable paradigms rather than algorithms to execute. Public employees occupy a uniquely precarious position in American constitutional law. They retain First Amendment rights as citizens while simultaneously operating within institutional hierarchies that may legitimately regulate their expression. Title VII and the Fourteenth Amendment’s Equal Protection Clause protect them from discrimination, yet the doctrinal frameworks designed to safeguard them often pull in opposite directions. This Article examines the resulting doctrinal confusion, arguing that the intersection of the Pickering/Garcetti framework governing public employee speech with Title VII’s hostile work environment doctrine and the Equal Protection Clause’s intent requirement has generated genuine uncertainty about the scope of constitutional protection—uncertainty that …

Securities regulation is not supposed to look like corporate law, yet in the market for interval and tender-offer funds, it increasingly does. The SEC’s modern exemptive practice for these registered investment vehicles—funds that offer periodic liquidity while investing in less-liquid strategies—is doing more than granting individualized relief. In effect, it is transforming the Investment Company Act’s closed-end structural constraints from mandatory architecture into conditional defaults that permit product modularity (particularly in terms of multiple share classes and distribution and servicing fees) when paired with governance and disclosure safeguards.
