This study addresses the escalating environmental, social, and economic challenges confronting informal settlements in coastal cities, with a specific focus on Alexandria, Egypt, as a representative model of the global coastal urban crisis. The research problem centers on the extreme vulnerability of the informal sector—which constitutes approximately 55%–60% of the city’s workforce—to climate change risks, particularly sea-level rise and recurrent storm surges (Nawat). These phenomena result in chronic livelihood disruptions, with an average operational downtime of seven days per storm event, alongside the significant loss of direct physical assets.

The Agreement Governing the Activities of States on the Moon and Other Celestial Bodies of 1979 enshrines that the moon as a Common Heritage of Mankind (CHM), which highlights equitable sharing. This is considered a reason why the Agreement only attracted 17 member States. In order to return to the moon by 2028, the United States arranged the Artemis Accords. This non-binding arrangement discusses the utilization of space resources and the non-appropriation principle under international space law. Naz Khatoon Modirzadeh published an article criticizing the Third World Approaches to International Law (TWAIL) movement for its purported inability to achieve its purpose as a response to one of the major international law decolonization projects. One of her criticisms is that TWAIL lacks a cohesive counter-vision of international law, actual representation of third-world views, and organized political movements. The Global Financial Crisis of 2007–2009 showed that a substantial portion of funds borrowed by a state from a lender of last resort may be allocated to bank recapitalization. While national recapitalization funds are not themselves borrowers, they play a key role in recovery operations. This article analyses how lenders, such as the European Stability Mechanism (ESM) and the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF), incorporate recapitalization funds into their lending framework and how they deal with extraordinary events, such as corporate transformations or liquidation of these funds. This article aims to provide a comprehensive review of research on physical activity levels among children and adolescents in Poland from 2012 to 2022, considering both objective and subjective assessment methods. A systematic review of the literature was conducted in accordance with the PRISMA reporting recommendations. PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar databases, as well as Polish scientific databases were searched. The paper suggests a method/strategy to compensate the deviations in the system frequency and output voltage, caused by an inverter output impedance, droop coefficients terms and amplifier gain in the RDC (robust droop control) model of single phase inverter. The compensation is acquired through adopting a TDC (transient droop characteristics) enabled droop control. The suggested technique, to achieve proportionate power sharing, nominal output voltage and frequency at steady state, is applied to a communication-less system of two parallel microsource inverters. This study examines how mothers raising children with disabilities in American Samoa experience the processes of seeking diagnosis, navigating special education, and advocating for services within an insular rural context. American Samoa, an unincorporated U.S. territory located 2600 miles from Hawaiʻi with a population under 50,000, represents a case of what we term insular rurality—a condition in which the structural disadvantages of rurality are intensified by oceanic isolation, territorial governance, and colonial history. This study examines the impact of COVID-19 on student behavior in rural-urban fringe schools in Northern Alabama. The qualitative narrative inquiry research centers the lived experiences of teachers from four different schools as they navigate and explain this shift during this time. Grounded in Bronfenbrenner's (1979) ecological systems theory, the study is guided by three research questions that address the changes in student behavior and classroom dynamics; teacher preparedness and the ability to manage post-pandemic behavioral challenges; and effective interventions and support strategies. The article examines measurement invariance in quantitative cross-cultural research. Instruments are typically translated, data are collected for the different language versions, and psychometric invariance is assessed. Items deemed equivalent are preserved, while the remaining items are traditionally eliminated. Culturally inclusive methodologies independently develop items across various cultures, translate them into a lingua franca, preserve translatable items, collect data, and corroborate invariance. Non-equivalent items are usually eliminated. A more radical strategy for preserving local (emic) elements is suggested here. At what threshold does someone’s work become so different from its original influence or inspiration that it is now unique? Harold Bloom seeks to answer these questions in The Anxiety of Influence: A Theory of Poetry, the course’s critical theory companion text, where he argues “poetic influence is a variety of melancholy or an anxiety-principle” (p. 7) because it is inescapable. Trauma-informed care (TIC) is an evidence-based approach that promotes safe, patient-centered care for individuals with a history of trauma. Many patients receiving services in psychiatric settings have experienced trauma, placing them at risk for retraumatization during healthcare encounters. Despite the recognized benefits of TIC, the outpatient psychiatric clinic involved in this project lacked a formal trauma-informed care education program for staff. The purpose of this quality improvement project was to determine whether implementation of a structured trauma-informed care educational intervention improved staff attitudes toward trauma-informed care. Mathematical Modelling and Numerical Simulation with Applications

This work examines the qualitative behavior of a general class of difference equations. We establish criteria guaranteeing the stability, periodicity, and boundedness of the solutions of the equation under consideration. In addition, we identify its invariant intervals. The theoretical results are subsequently applied to various special cases, among them the May--Host model. Numerical simulations are presented to demonstrate the dynamics of the solutions and to validate the theoretical analysis.
