Objective This project aimed to enhance nursing staff knowledge and engagement in evidence-based fall prevention strategies, addressing the practice problem of inconsistent staff education and the absence of a standardized fall prevention protocol, contributing to high patient fall rates in acute care settings. High-risk HIV behavior remains a critical public health concern in the United States, particularly among socioeconomically and psychologically vulnerable populations. Despite extensive prevention efforts, a gap persists in understanding how structural and mental health factors jointly contribute to HIV risk. This study addresses that gap by examining the association between socioeconomic status (SES), including income, education, employment, and healthcare access, and mental health status (diagnosis of depression and days of poor mental health) on high-risk HIV behavior at the individual level. The application of neural networks has demonstrated significant potential in the field of acoustic source localization. This thesis investigates the deployment of such advanced neural network models for the specific challenge of uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) localization. A persistent obstacle in training deep learning models for this purpose, however, is the considerable effort required to collect and curate sufficiently large real-world datasets, which is both time consuming and resource-intensive. To address this limitation, this research incorporates synthetic data augmentation using a synthetic source sound generation script and the pyroadacoustics simulation environment. In this case, the landlord sued to recover unpaid rent and use and occupancy after a tenant's eviction was delayed for over two years due to COVID-19 moratoria. The Appellate Division reversed the lower court, holding that the landlord's claim for arrears that accrued after the final judgment of possession was not barred by the doctrine of res judicata. The court reasoned that the unique circumstances of the pandemic-related delay meant the later-accrued costs were not part of the same "transaction" as the initial holdover proceeding. Traditional anti-inflammatory medications-such as corticosteroids, biological agents, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs-are commonly employed to mitigate inflammation, despite their potential for debilitating side effects. There is a growing need for alternative next-generation therapies for symptomatic, unchecked, and/or detrimental inflammation with more favorable adverse effect profiles. The long history of use of gold salts as anti-inflammatory agents and the more recent exploration of gold nanoparticle (AuNP) formulations for clinical indications suggest that the targeted delivery of nanoparticles to inflammatory sites may be a promising approach worth investigating. This phenomenological qualitative study examined the lasting effects, if any, of childhood emotional maltreatment (CEM) on adult females' romantic relationships. The research explored participants’ perceptions of relationship fundamentals that influence adult attachment formation and the quality of romantic relationships, emphasizing the crucial role of adult attachment in relational quality and overall well-being. Online, two-part semi-structured interviews were conducted with each participant, yielding a total of 22 interviews. These interviews investigated the participants’ perceptions of how CEM shaped their views of their own and others’ behaviors within adult romantic relationships. G-quadruplexes are noncanonical secondary structures that form in guanine-rich nucleic acid sequences and are thought to be involved in the control of gene expression.1 Unfortunately, it has been difficult to prove that these structures exist in vivo because of their dynamic nature. Rather than try to develop G-quadruplex specific binders as others have done,2 our idea is to photochemically trap certain types of G-quadruplexes by irreversible photoproduct formation3–5 and then detect the stable G-quadruplex-specific photoproducts by Isotopic Dilution Mass Spectrometry (IDMS).6 This IDMS method could then be used to unambiguously confirm the presence of specific types of G-quadruplexes in vivo …
