This dissertation demonstrates that carefully adapted language-model pipelines can transform unstructured clinical-trial and pharmacological prose into reliable, low-latency structured data. Four interconnected studies support this claim.Tri-AL platform. An open-source dashboard ingests all 440 k+ ClinicalTrials.gov records—including every historical revision—into a normalized schema and parses the 20 GB XML archive over 10x faster than a BeautifulSoup baseline, while exposing hooks for demographic analytics and supporting integration of user-defined modules. Individuals with psychopathy present with failures in performance monitoring, particularly a failure to learn from experience, and error processing deficits have been reported in this population. Background/aim: This study investigates the role of carbon dioxide (CO2) angiography, delivered with an automated CO2 delivery system, in decreasing the amount of iodinated contrast and preventing contrast-induced nephropathy (CIN) in diabetic foot patients who underwent endovascular revascularization.

Materials and methods: A total of 272 diabetic foot patients who underwent endovascular treatment for infrainguinal chronic peripheral arterial disease (PAD) were included in the study. Many new chemicals, including chalcones, derivatives of 5,6-dihydropyrimidin-2-ol and 5,6-dihydropyrimidin-2-thiol, are synthesized in this work. The starting materials are substituted acetophenone derivatives involving 1,2,3-triazoline (1). Chalcone derivatives (2a-h) were obtained by condensing compound (1) with some substituted aromatic aldehydes in the presence of 40% potassium hydroxide KOH. The process of producing pyrimidin-2-ol derivatives (3a–e) by cyclizing produced chalcone derivatives (2a–e) urea in the presence of sodium hydroxide. Background: The prognostic impact of Fms-like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3)-tyrosine kinase domain (TKD) mutation in patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is not well defined. The authors described outcomes of one of the largest cohorts of patients with FLT3-TKD mutated (FLT3-TKDmut) AML to date.

Methods: This retrospective study included patients with newly diagnosed AML who received frontline treatment at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center from January 2012 to March 2024 divided into two cohorts: FLT3-TKDmut AML and nucleophosmin-mutated (NPM1mut)/FLT3-TKD wild-type (FLT3-TKDwt) AML. Background: Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is a progressive cardiopulmonary condition associated with increased morbidity and mortality. The extracellular matrix component hyaluronan (HA) is linked to vascular remodelling and interstitial fibrosis in PH. We hypothesised that inhibition of HA synthesis with hymecromone could serve as a reverse-remodelling therapy in PH.

Methods: We performed a proof-of-concept phase IIa randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled study in adults with pulmonary arterial hypertension and PH associated with interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD). This thesis explores how queer individuals reflect on the presence—or more often, the absence—of queer content in their high school education. Despite increasing visibility of LGBTQ+ people in popular culture and legal reform, formal educational spaces remain largely heteronormative and cisnormative structured from a heterosexual and cisgender standpoint. Through a critical qualitative approach, this study draws on semi-structured interviews with 13 queer participants who attended high school in Florida in the years between the legalization of same-sex marriage in 2015 and the passage of Florida’s H.B. 1557 (“Don’t Say Gay” law) in 2022. The Southwestern US and northern Mexico continue to serve as ideal regions to elucidate the suite of ecological and evolutionary processes influencing lineage diversification. The complex geological history of arid North America, coupled with paleoclimate change during the Pleistocene and diverse ecoregions makes a multipronged approach to hypothesis testing necessary. We combine thousands of loci from a genotyping-by-sequencing (GBS) approach along with mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) sequences from the Greater Earless Lizard (Cophosaurus texanus) to examine diversity and test for cryptic population structure. The purpose of this master’s thesis is to explore the possibility of gaining a better understanding of Sophocles’ fragmentary tragedies by taking emotions into consideration. I focus on three of those plays, Tereus, and Tyro A’ and B’, and put them in relation to the mythological narratives from which they derived, as well as other examples of reception. By considering the basic narrative patterns of the myth and their rendering in different media alongside emotional scripts, we can support or challenge existing hypotheses about these fragmentary plays. This thesis explores how fostering stronger connections in the high school ceramics classroom can create a more inclusive and collaborative community. I regularly changed seating charts to encourage new relationships and strengthen classroom culture as part of this effort. Historically, seating charts have enforced uniformity and promoted specific behaviors. My research challenges these traditional purposes and proposes that seating arrangements can instead serve a more meaningful and enduring goal: promoting connection and ensuring that all students feel seen. Background: Interfacility transfer patients are associated with inferior outcomes, higher costs, and emergency department (ED) overcrowding. Previous studies have analyzed the general trends influencing interfacility transfers, but the patterns affecting ophthalmology-related transfer rates remain unclear. Methods: The Web of Science was queried using the term “trabeculectomy” to identify the 100 most cited (T100) publications. Articles were listed by title, authors’ affiliated institutions, journal title, year of publication, country of origin, funding sources, and citation count. Results: The T100 articles were published between the years 1975 and 2022. The number of total citations received by each article ranged from 83 to 550.
