Under 24 C.F.R. §5.2005(a), landlords receiving federal funding must provide current VAWA notice with any notification terminating tenancy in covered housing. The VAWA requirements apply regardless of the theory of eviction, including an expired-lease holdover.

The Appellate Division, First Department reversed and granted summary judgment to a rent-stabilized successor tenant. Under the HSTPA, a landlord may not withdraw a previously offered preferential rent in a renewal lease. Tenant was entitled to a renewal lease at the preferential rent paid by the predecessor tenant of record. A 2006 DHCR settlement and rent order did not constitute increases 'authorized by law' under RSL §26-511(c)(14), and the DHCR order had no preclusive effect against tenant, who had not been a party to the prior proceeding and had not had a full and fair opportunity to litigate.

International Relations scholarship has generally treated food as an outward-facing instrument of soft power, leaving its domestic political functions comparatively underexamined. This paper argues that, during periods of systemic crisis, food policy can also operate inwardly as a mechanism of regime stabilization with broader political implications. Using New Deal food programs during the Great Depression as a case study, it introduces the concept of “domestic gastrodiplomacy” to describe how the management of subsistence can reinforce confidence in governing institutions when that confidence is under strain.

Through high-quality education delivery, inclusive education indicates the pursuit of social justice for all marginalized societies. The study examines how the Edo camp's internally displaced people are impacted by inclusive education policies. Relevant policy and regulatory frameworks pertaining to inclusive education in Nigeria were examined in the research. Falls in the elderly are a significant cause of injury, disability, and preventable medical expenditure; thus, fall prevention is an issue to assisted living homes like Townson Assisted Living Facility (TALF). The internal incident reports showed that persistent fall incidents were associated with inconsistent knowledge among the staff and unequal observed compliance with fall-prevention guidelines, indicating a practice gap in the systematized education of nurses. The prevalence of trauma across clinical settings and limited trauma training for clinicians can negatively affect trauma survivors. The impact of novice clinicians’ lack of preparedness and its implications for clients should be important considerations for educators, supervisors, and policymakers. The purpose of this qualitative study was to explore the lived experiences of novice counselors and their preparedness to work with trauma survivors. Grounded in descriptive phenomenology, this study explored participants’ perceived preparedness to work with trauma survivors and the ways these experiences may inform counselor education and supervision. This essay takes the commemorated names of four Seminole Negro Indian Scout Medal of Honor recipients to examine public memory at the Texas Capitol Complex since 1983. Using archival documents, newspapers, exhibits, and monuments, it traces how the Texas State Preservation Board responded to criticism through limited incorporations of Black, Tejano, and women’s histories while preserving narratives that disavow slavery and settler colonialism. It argues that these incorporations reinforce a framework centered on Texas “pioneers,” obscuring Native histories and misrepresenting the complex intersections of Blackness and Indigeneity embodied by Black Seminole history.

This article explores a little-known chapter in the life of anarchist Albert Parsons and illustrates the complexities of race and class in Reconstruction Texas. Loyal to the administration of Republican Texas Governor Edmund J. Davis, Parsons helped break a strike of white supremacist printers in Austin. His allegiance to the cause of African American rights superseded class solidarity with the printers. Less than two decades later, Parsons died while supporting striking workers in Chicago.

The First Juneteenth: Black Churches, Reconstruction Politics, And The Houston Origins Of June 19 Celebrations, W. Caleb Mcdaniel

While Galveston is rightly renowned as the birthplace of Juneteenth, this article argues that Houston played an equally foundational role in the origins of the holiday as the site of the first recorded public celebration of June 19 as an anniversary of freedom. Drawing on new research in a rare newspaper, it examines the circumstances that led Black Houstonians to celebrate June 19, 1866, identifying the leaders and locations of the Houston event for the first time. This article explores the impact of digital communication on the e-reputation of a Moroccan company. Its primary objective is to examine the complex dynamics and challenges associated with digital communication in order to strengthen online visibility and enhance customer engagement. The findings reveal that the company's current digital practices remain at an early stage of development and that significant efforts are required to improve its digital presence and reinforce customer engagement. These also potentially harm minoritized perspectives and identities by moving far beyond historic doctrinal groundings of separation of church and state. Courts often face difficult questions of statutory interpretation and constitutional interpretation. Various judges take different approaches. This essay reviews the book, Reading the Constitution, Why I Chose Pragmatism Not Textualism, authored by former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, who used methods that were often in the Court minority. Justice Breyer argued in favor of relying on purpose in federal statutory interpretation cases, and in favor of pragmatic balancing in federal constitutional cases. Basic parameters applied in eco-physiological studies of meadow plants are: water balance (hydration, transpiration intensity, amounts and forms of water, water deficit, etc.), assim­ilation balance (CO2 balance, assimilation performance, compensation effect), matter pro­duction. Eco-physiological studies should be followed by microclimatic measurements and the anatomical analysis of the meadow plants under study. Eco-physiological studies of meadow plants, if performed in a complex and systematic way, constitute the safest basis for detennining the characters of the entire meadow plant com­munity under the concrete conditions of natural factors prevailing in terms of natural condi­tions and human influence.

In this essay I take on the subject of grades in sport management education. While grades are used as a measure of success across higher education, they are an imperfect measure of achievement and learning and have major limitations in terms of student employability. Platform work is increasingly promoted as a strategy for employment generation in the Philippines. The Philippine Labor Force Survey of 2021 reported that around 1.7 million gig workers are engaged by online platforms or mobile applications, with many depending on it as their primary livelihood. Yet the rapid expansion of platform labor as a livelihood opportunity is unfolding alongside intensifying climate disruption and technological transformation. Extreme heat, flooding, supertyphoons, unstable power infrastructure, and digital dependency are creating new forms of vulnerability for platform workers—many of whom already operate under precarious and weakly protected labor conditions. When former cohabitants ask courts to distribute property at the end of a nonmarital relationship, they usually lose—even when the partners were as economically intertwined as spouses. Family law scholars have traditionally criticized these cases in terms of longstanding gendered ideas about family relationships. This Article proposes a complementary account at the intersection of feminist and private law theory: that the law of voluntary obligations is not adequately developed to protect intimates’ cooperation. Understanding the dynamics of host-parasite interactions is essential for uncovering the ecological and evolutionary processes shaping natural populations. In this study, we investigated the spatial and temporal patterns of prevalence of the cestode Schistocephalus solidus in 4 Alaskan populations of threespine stickleback (Gasterosteus aculeatus) over 11 years (1996 to 2006). Additionally, we assessed host tolerance through key indicators such as the Parasite Index and the presence of fibrotic scar tissue, a specialized form of resistance in this system. We observed fibrosis formation in both infected and uninfected fish across all populations, with notable year-to-year variability in Cornelius Lake. Here, fibrosis …
