This article explores the proper classification of Israel’s current conflicts with Hamas and Hezbollah as international or non-international armed conflicts. It discusses the different possibilities of how the international humanitarian law of international or non-international armed conflict applies to those conflicts and whether and to what extent the international humanitarian law of military occupation applies to the conduct of Israel Defence Forces in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon. It also explains why the proper classification of the conflicts still matters and is not only an intellectual exercise for scholars or students. Growing evidence suggests the Rosenwald schools of the American South, which anchored thousands of Black communities for a half century before desegregation, boosted academic outcomes for generations of Black students and helped fuel the civil rights movement. The research literature, however, is thin on what specifically made these schools successful. My research attempts to narrow the gaps by asking the Rosenwald alums themselves. Through semi-structured interviews, 10 alums in Florida identify defining features of their schools, including seamless community connections; a culture of high expectations for academic achievement and character development; and especially caring and committed teachers. These technologies have revolutionized antenna design, enabling the development of advanced metasurface antennas (metantennas) with unprecedented electromagnetic wave control. This article comprehensively reviews the classification, advancements, and prospects of metantennas, emphasizing applications in 5G and beyond. Sex-specific division of labour and the associated use of different subsistence techniques by males (e.g. hunting) and females (e.g. gathering) has played an important role in shaping human societies. Skills needed in adulthood are practiced in play during childhood and object play has been proposed to foster tool-use skills necessary for adult subsistence techniques. Here, we investigated sex differences in the ontogeny of object play in Tsimane children in Bolivia to understand its potential role in shaping gender-specific adult roles. Four metal complexes of Schiff base ligand were prepared. To characterize both the ligand and the metal complexes, various techniques were employed, including elemental analysis, FT-IR spectroscopy, UV-Vis spectroscopy, molar conductivity measurements, magnetic moment determination, melting point, mass spectroscopy, ¹H-NMR and ¹³C-NMR spectroscopy. The results showed that the metal complexes formed have the formula [M(L)₂Cl₂]Cl_(n).H₂O, where L= Schiff base ligand and M=Cr(III), Rh(III), Pt(IV) and Au(III), n = 1, 2. However, literature addressing the potential methodology challenges of conducting such research using constructivist grounded theory (CGT) remains limited. In recent years, greater attention has been paid to the effects of sexual abuse within Christianity. There was a need for greater understanding of the psychological aspect of spiritual abuse within familial dynamics. The purpose of this qualitative study was to describe the phenomenon of emotional spiritual abuse that victims experience within Christian families. Using a theoretical foundation based on Bronfenbrenner's ecological systems theory and Bowen's family systems theory, this study focused on relationships within victims’ microsystem, mesosystem, and exosystem. Businesses primarily provide products or services, expand operations, and generate profits. However, they frequently disregard the environmental and economic consequences of their actions as they strive for profitability and growth. Consequently, the main objective of this research was to examine the impact of a multifaceted supply chain function on performance. Data were collected from 415 respondents employed in various manufacturing companies within a developing economy. The hypotheses were evaluated using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through Smart PLS. The findings discovered that ten of the thirteen hypotheses tested were supported, while three were not. After New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen, history is the touchstone of Second Amendment analysis. Thus, this Note explores an understudied part of America's long and complicated history with weapons: Catholic disarmament. By undertaking a detailed historical analysis of three Catholic disarmament measures in the late colonial United States, this Note attempts to determine what the history means for present day firearms law. It concludes that even though courts frequently cite America’s history of Catholic disarmament, they rarely use it in a historically accurate way. Civil forfeiture laws allow law enforcement to seize property when there is probable cause it has been used or possessed in violation of legal rules, often before an owner has a chance to contest the government’s seizure in court. In the criminal context, forfeiture is typically an in personam action that requires a criminal conviction and is part of a defendant’s sentence. In the civil context, however, forfeiture is an in rem proceeding brought against the property derived from or used to commit an offense––not against the person who committed the offense. Wiedemann-Steiner syndrome (WDSTS) is a rare genetic cause of intellectual disability that is primarily caused by heterozygous loss-of-function variants in the gene encoding the histone lysine methyltransferase 2A (KMT2A). Prior studies have shown successful postnatal amelioration of disease phenotypes for Rett, Rubinstein-Taybi, and Kabuki syndromes, which are related Mendelian disorders of the epigenetic machinery. To explore whether the neurological phenotype in WDSTS is treatable in utero, we created a mouse model carrying a loss-of-function variant placed between 2 loxP sites. Kmt2a+/LSL mice demonstrated core features of WDSTS including growth retardation, craniofacial abnormalities, and hypertrichosis as well as hippocampal memory defects. …

This Article represents the first work to analyze the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) neglect in its enforcement of the chief executive officer (CEO) and chief financial officer (CFO) Sarbanes-Oxley certification requirement. The Article addresses the appropriate construction of the statute’s reach, the enforcement proceedings instituted by the SEC under this provision, and the Commission’s failure to fulfill its legislative directive to adequately enforce this statute and Rule 13a-14 promulgated thereunder. In its implementation of the CEO and CFO certification requirement, the SEC has brought relatively few enforcement actions during over a two-decade period. Its enforcement with respect to CEOs …

In United States v. Brewbaker, a Fourth Circuit panel overturned a criminal conviction under § 1 of the Sherman Act, holding that a bid-rigging conspiracy between direct competitors constituted a hybrid “dual distribution” arrangement subject to the rule of reason rather than per se illegality. The court’s rationale rested on the existence of a separate vertical relationship between the parties, even though that relationship served only as consideration for the horizontal agreement to rig bids.
