Corrosion fatigue remains a critical durability challenge for steels used in boiler tubes and other safety-critical components, where the interaction of cyclic stresses and corrosive environments accelerates material degradation. This dissertation comprises three experimental studies aimed at advancing mitigation strategies and test methodologies: (1) enhancing corrosion resistance through electrodeposited Fe-Ni anodic coatings, (2) inducing synthetic crack closure to suppress fatigue crack growth, and (3) developing an accessible, low-cost, automated testing system to investigate environmentally assisted cracking (EAC) under controlled laboratory conditions. Israel has long identified as a democracy. However, scholars have expressed concerns that it is engaged in democratic backsliding (Kremnitzer and Shany 2020; Oren and Waxman 2022). Despite holding repeated elections, its liberal credentials are weakening, as the rule of law and judicial independence are threatened. Institutionally, then, it is fulfilling Dahl’s (1971) contestation requirement for democracy but not the inclusiveness requirement. At the citizen level, there is questionable democratic culture (Inglehart and Welzel 2003). If the public supports electoral institutions but not liberal values, then the democracy’s foundation is weak (Mounk 2018). This article analyzes recent Israeli public opinion …

Critical Path Method schedule reliability is dependent on exhibition of specific qualities. Failure to exhibit these qualities (i.e., schedule defects) increases project risk exposure. Although current schedule quality assessment methods provide diagnostic remediation insights, they do not provide a meaningful singular assessment value that characterizes the nature and magnitude of schedule quality risk nor do they enable parity when comparing schedule quality across multiple schedules of disparate size (e.g., number of tasks) or complexity (e.g., number of concurrent paths, degree of merge bias). [Objective ] This study explores the unique flavor characteristics and volatile compounds of black tea produced from the large-leaf variety in northern Guangxi,aiming to reveal the material basis of aroma formation of this variety.[Method ] Sensory evaluation,determination of biochemical parameters,headspace-solid-phase microextraction-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (HS-SPME-GC-MS ),and odor activity value (OAV ) analysis were performed in combination with chemometrics analysis to analyze the flavor characteristics and volatile compounds of the black tea.[Result ] The black tea samples produced from the large-leaf variety in northern Guangxi had similar aroma properties and were characterized by distinct floral and fruity aromas.A total of 88 volatile …

Background: Metabolic syndrome (MetS) elevates the risk of developing cardi-ovascular diseases and type 2 diabetes., driven by insulin resistance (IR), inflammation, and metabolic dysregulation. The PI3K/AKT pathway shows a key part in glucose and lipid metabolism. Alirocumab, a PCSK9 inhibitor, lowers LDL-C and improves IR but may cause hepatotoxicity. Aims: This study examines ali-rocumab’s effects on dexamethasone-induced MetS in rats, focusing on its metabolic benefits and potential liver toxicity. Methods: Over 30 days, 40 male Albino rats were distributed into control, Alirocumab, Dexamethasone, and Dexa-methasone+Alirocumab groups, with the latter receiving Dexamethasone to induce metabolic syndrome followed by Alirocumab administration. The 2020–2024 period marks a pivotal era in sustainable development, characterized by significant regulatory developments, including the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the International Sustainability Standards Board standards, and the introduction of mandatory ESG reporting requirements worldwide. This review examines how recent policy changes have reshaped the linkages between ESG and sustainability. Following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, we conducted a systematic review examining empirical studies of ESG–sustainability performance relationships published between 2020 and 2024. Studies examined the quantitative relationships between ESG sustainability performance and publicly traded corporations. This book analyzes the crisis of the idea of human being based on timeless notions, in the Euroamerican context, as seen primarily through literature and cinema. It focuses on Italy, which has been and remains a crossroads for diverse cultural and political currents—open to Mediterranean cultural influences while remaining within a typically Western cultural context. The “new man,” defined by Corrado Alvaro during his trip in Russia in 1934 as “transitional,” implies a human being with a fundamental need for change. Methods with high precision and sensitivity have been developed to estimate Hesperiden (HSP) and Naringenin (NAR) levels in various samples, including capsules for medicines and urine. These techniques utilize a flow injection device and an alkaline medium to perform a coupling reaction using diazotized metoclopramide (DMP) as chromogenic reagent. The utilization of the diazotized reagent of metoclopramide is regarded as an environmentally friendly chromogenic reagent. The peak absorption wavelengths for HSP and NAR are 442 nm and 416 nm, respectively, indicating that yellow dyes exhibit the most outstanding absorption at these specific wavelengths. Here, we present MultiSite Assembly of Gateway Induced Clones (MAGIC), which leverages Gateway-based recombinatorial cloning technology for rapid, modular assembly of plasmids to facilitate transgenesis in cells and vertebrate animal models. The MAGIC collection of plasmids spans a range of in vitro and in vivo uses, from tools for optically and chemically tunable gene expression, to simultaneous expression of microRNAs and fluorescent reporters, to a suite of distinct subcellular compartmental fluorescent reporters, to Cre and Dre recombinase-dependent gene expression. When crops die in a field prior to harvest, a farmer loses a portion of his salary for that year. When the cause of the crop loss is natural, farmers can usually seek compensation through crop insurance and government commodity support programs. When the crops were lost as a result of pesticide drift, these forms of compensation are not usually available to farmers.1 In order to make up for their losses, farmers can seek damages through judicial redress. Journal of Counselor Preparation and Supervision
This study explored the experiences of Latine doctoral students in Counselor Education and Supervision programs in the United States. The consensual qualitative research yielded five domains: cultural values, representation, racialized experiences, support, and social justice. The findings are discussed with direct applications for programs and recommendations for future research.

A Holographic Approach: Counseling Skill Development At The Doctoral Level, Kelly Coker, Kristi Cannon, Robyn T. Simmons, Anjuli Corzine
Journal of Counselor Preparation and Supervision
This study examines the perceptions and attitudes of a six-person focus group of counselor educators about teaching advanced counseling skills in CACREP accredited Counselor Education and Supervision doctoral programs. Results of the framework analysis indicate that while counseling skills are valued at the doctoral level, there is a need for individualized and collaborative construction of both assessments for and activities within doctoral internships in counseling. A Holographic Model of Doctoral Skills Training is introduced, providing a comprehensive framework for enhancing doctoral-level counseling skills training in counselor education and supervision programs.
