This article explores the use of Talking Circles as a decolonizing pedagogical practice within higher education, grounded in Indigenous epistemologies and relational worldviews. Drawing on the works of Indigenous scholars such as Graveline, Wilson, Archibald, and Simpson, the article positions Talking Circles not merely as instructional strategies but as ceremonial, spirit-centered pedagogies that resist the Eurocentric hierarchical and individualistic norms of Western academia. Through autoethnographic reflection and student narratives from undergraduate and graduate education courses, the article demonstrates how Talking Circles foster relational accountability, ethical engagement, and transformative learning. Purpose Health and wellbeing for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples is poorly understood, due to commonly used measures of quality of life and wellbeing not aligning with their collectivist worldviews. The need to develop a wellbeing measure, grounded in the aspects of life that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people identify themselves as important, was therefore a priority. The current study aimed to cognitively assess the face and content validity of a new wellbeing measure under development for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults. With the continuous growth in the need for artificial intelligence driven manufacturing, automatic detection of metal surface quality has become a key issue in forging production. This study proposes a novel power management strategy for wind farms using a grey wolf optimization (GWO)-based PI controller. The method aims to enhance active and reactive power control in systems employing dou bly fed induction generators. Three control strategies are evaluated—namely, a classical frequency-domain PI controller, an Artificial Neural Network (ANN)-based controller, and the proposed GWO-based PI controller—the last of which represents the main contribution. The classical PI and ANN controllers are included strictly for comparative bench marking. The present study examines the relationship between screen exposure behaviors and toddler internalizing behaviors, with sleep behaviors being observed as a moderator. The study emphasizes the need for continued research to adapt to the ever-changing nature of the daily use of screens during toddlerhood and early childhood. Fifty-seven mothers of two-year-old children participated in one-on-one parent-report only, interviewer-based quantitative interviews discussing their child’s internalizing and sleep behaviors. Participants were also asked to fill out a questionnaire about their child’s screen exposure behaviors. It was hypothesized that (1) higher levels of screen exposure behaviors will result in increased internalizing behaviors, (2) …

This thesis offers a reading of Hiroko Oyamada’s The Hole as discourse surrounding modern neoliberalism’s dissolution and transformation of boundaries between socio-political domains, such as the public/private, and its consequent effects on individual subjectivity and interpersonal relationships. Within the novella’s depictions of the mundane, I also seek to argue that Oyamada’s employment of the liminal, through distortions of space and time, is used to depict the precarity of marginalization as an always present force due to the pervasiveness of capitalism, but purposefully hidden to maintain security in illusion.

Immune checkpoint inhibitors targeting programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) and programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) have transformed the therapeutic landscape of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), producing durable responses in a subset of patients. Yet for most, clinical benefit is undermined by the development of acquired resistance (AR), a phenomenon that continues to limit the long-term success of immunotherapy. Recent analyses have drawn attention to persistent interferon-γ (IFN-γ) signaling as a paradoxical hallmark of AR: a cytokine typically associated with effective antitumor immunity that, when chronically engaged, sustains immune dysfunction. The use of less-lethal weapons such as bean bag rounds and rubber bullets has become a prominent and controversial mark of contemporary policing. Although these munitions are designed to incapacitate without resorting to deadly force, their deployment has resulted in serious injuries, fatalities, and a growing body of litigation. This article examines how federal appellate courts have addressed such cases through a systematic legal content analysis of 16 decisions issued between 1999 and 2025. The classification and morphometric characteristics of beaches is crucial for understanding coastal dynamics, evaluating natural and anthropogenic pressures, and supporting effective coastal management and conservation strategies. This is particularly important for countries like Türkiye, where extensive and diverse coastlines play a key role in tourism, the economy, and ecological sustainability. This study presents the first comprehensive, nationwide inventory and characterisation of Türkiye’s beaches, encompassing its 8483 km coastline. Using satellite imagery, 6110 beaches were identified and classified according to environmental conditions, with analyses conducted on their morphological characteristics, sea boundaries, and provincial distributions. However, the curriculum tends to neglect the impact that the Reformation had upon America's formation. Through a qualitative historical review, this study will analyze both primary and secondary sources to examine how Reformed ideals of the political covenant, limited government, and resistance to tyranny influenced the American founding. Poor communication practices have significantly strained marital relationships, contributing to increased divorce rates in the United States. As a self-conscious emotion, hubristic pride often leads to poor communication, which in turn exacerbates marital discord and contributes to the breakdown of families. The purpose of this basic qualitative study was to explore how divorcees perceive the impact of hubristic pride on communication in their previous marriages. The theoretical framework underpinning this study was Homans’s social exchange theory. Strain analyses and kinematic studies in orogenic belts are essential for understanding their deformation mechanisms. The Chai-Kour brittle-ductile shear zone is located in the central Sanandaj-Sirjan metamorphic belt, southeast of the Zagros orogen. The present study analyzes deformed mylonitic rocks to clarify the deformation kinematics, temperature, and strain geometry of the Chai-Kour shear zone. Previously developed kinematic shear indicators such as S-C shear bands, deformed porphyroclasts, asymmetric boudins, and folds provide an overall top-to-the-southeast sense of shear in the Chai-Kour shear zone. Millions of Indigenous people belong to hundreds of Tribal nations and self-determined communities throughout the United States. Many of these groups continue to steward lands and waters that have shaped their distinct cultural and political identities since time immemorial. Increasingly, environmental professionals acknowledge the need to respect, understand, and defer to Indigenous knowledge about Earth's stewardship, but substantial barriers prevent full realization of these goals. We studied expansions in financial safety nets and their relation to bank risk and depositor behaviour in Central and Eastern Europe, using time-varying regulatory data. In general, we find that stronger deposit insurance and state aid granted to banks are linked with both bank risk and depositor behaviour. However, these relations critically depend on whether safety net instruments are used separately or simultaneously. When deposit insurance is strengthened or state aid is granted, we confirm the standard moral hazard behaviour of banks visible in higher bank risk. In parallel, we observe more elevated deposit growth, implying lower market discipline. Conversely, …

This interconnectedness implies that shocks originating in one market or asset class can rapidly transmit to others, underscoring the potential for systemic risk and financial contagion. While there is extensive research with previous generations on dating anxiety, self-esteem, and early rejection, no study has examined parental rejection, self-esteem, and dating anxiety collectively, particularly in consideration of gender diverse individuals and digital dating platform use. This Article examines whether the United Nations (“U.N.”) Treaty, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (“CEDAW”), is a “paper tiger”—a law that seems powerful but is in fact weak and ineffectual. While some scholars question the Treaty’s effectiveness based on statistical studies, others point to legal reforms in state parties as evidence of its success.
