This text explores gender inequalities in Morocco by articulating patriarchal continuity and attempts at destabilization through gender studies. It takes as its starting point the pioneering initiative of Fatima Sadiqi, who founded the first women's research center (1996) and the first gender studies unit (2000) at the University of Fez. These structures aimed to introduce the concept of gender into the humanities and social sciences to deconstruct sociocultural obstacles to equality. This study aims to examine the interplay of corporate sustainability orientation and sustainability practices, namely social and environmental dimensions and their impact on the financial performance of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) using Stakeholder theory. This study empirically tested 126 valid questionnaire responses received from the SMEs’ services sector in Malaysia using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) analysis. The result reveals that corporate sustainability orientation and social dimension influence financial performance, while the environmental dimension does not. Colorenal Fistula In A Patient With Recurrent Urinary Tract Infections And Urinary Urgency: A Case Report, Joey E. Maksoud, Lauren Peter, Elissa Zakharia, Brady Werth, Philippe Nabbout

Colorenal fistula is a rare condition resulting from chronic inflammation, malignancies, diverticulitis, or infection. This case examines a 68-year-old female with a history of urinary urgency, left back pain, and recurrent urinary tract infections. Anteroposterior non-contrast computed tomography scan showed a large stone in the renal pelvis and gas in the collecting system. Left ureteroscopy revealed multiple ureteral polyps. Retrograde pyelogram revealed contrast filling the left colon. Ureteral polyp biopsies were benign, and colonoscopy was negative for malignancy. This case describes the occurrence of a colorenal fistula in a patient with no history of surgery, malignancy, or diverticulitis.

Scholarship on ethnic disparities in the criminal justice system has predominantly focused on disparities at a single decision-making point, mainly at sentencing, while earlier decision points remain underexamined or are studied in isolation to sentencing decisions. Using linked Ministry of Justice Data First datasets from criminal courts in England and Wales, this study assesses ethnic disparities at multiple decision points—from pre-sentencing to sentencing. Findings from multilevel logistic regression models demonstrate ethnic disparities across decision points, evidencing more pronounced disparities at pre-sentencing stages. Black and mixed ethnicity defendants consistently experience more disadvantaged outcomes, being more likely to be detained prior to …

This dialogical article examines persistent challenges in engaging racism, colonialism, and white supremacy within the theory and practice of Philosophy for/with Children (P4/wC). Framed as a mutual interview between two long-standing colleagues, the dialogue revisits formative encounters in the P4/wC community and situates them within broader intellectual traditions, including American pragmatism, deliberative democracy, and Africana philosophy. The dromedary camel possesses unique ocular adaptations enabling survival in harsh desert environments. This study aimed to characterize the posterior segment of the dromedary camel’s eye using spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) and fundus photography. Fourteen healthy adult camels were sedated and imaged. High-resolution OCT images enabled clear visualization and measurement of the retina, choroid, and sclera. The retina exhibited well-defined layers, including the retinal pigment epithelium, photoreceptor layer, plexiform layers, and nerve fiber layer. The disclosed systems and methods provide an adaptive hold-and-release engine that protects users from online payment fraud by adding a temporary hold on funds at the receiving bank when a payer and payee transact for the first time. The payment server of the disclosed system includes an authentication engine, a hold-and-release engine, and a transaction processing engine. Authentication engine checks the transaction histories of payer and payee to detect first-time P2P interaction.
