Leaves of Cucumis callosus, traditionally employed in Ayurvedic medicine for the treatment of urinary disorders, were investigated in depth for their therapeutic potential against bacterially induced urinary tract infection (UTI) for the first time. The present work is the first to explore the antibacterial activity of C. callosus leaf fractions with an integrative in silico, in vitro, and in vivo approach. Through bioassay-guided fractionation, the chloroform fraction (F1) was identified as the most active, exhibiting potent activity against Uropathogenic Escherichia spp. species. This study discusses the implementation of Indonesia’s free and active foreign policy under President Prabowo Subianto concerning the Palestinian issue and its implications for Indonesia’s global role. The principle of Indonesia’s free and active foreign policy serves as the foundation for determining the direction of its foreign policy, particularly regarding the Israel–Palestine conflict. This research employs a qualitative method using Rosenau’s Foreign Policy Analysis theory to analyze the domestic and international factors influencing Indonesia’s foreign policy decisions, and interviews with experts. The significance of this study is to explore insights into the emotions experienced by Indonesian English teachers in Thailand, highlighting their emotional journeys and the emotion regulation strategies they use. Ten Indonesian English teachers from diverse elementary and secondary schools across Thailand voluntarily participated in this qualitative research. Through semi-structured interviews, the collected data were analyzed deductively, applying Richards' (2020) framework to examine teacher emotions and Gross' (1998) framework to analyze emotion regulation strategies. The findings reveal a wide range of emotions, including happiness, pride, anger, confusion, loneliness, and mixed emotions. In this study, a basic machine learning approach based on fuel type for estimating NOx and soot emissions in diesel engines was comparatively evaluated against a physics-based model incorporating physical indicators related to the combustion process. Experimental data were obtained from a single-cylinder, four-stroke diesel engine under single and dual fuel conditions using diesel, biodiesel, and ammonia. Quantities derived from the in-cylinder pressure signal, including IMEP, maximum pressure rise rate, maximum pressure, the crankshaft angle corresponding to maximum pressure, the CA10–CA90 combustion interval, ignition delay and total combustion duration, were integrated into the model as quantitative indicators representing the engine’s …

The regulation of ship emissions has become an important issue in the context of global environmental sustainability, climate change mitigation, and maritime policy. This study examines the impact of International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulations on academic research related to ship engine emissions using a bibliometric methodology. A dataset consisting of 1,275 publications from 1995 to 2025 was extracted from the Scopus database and analyzed using the Biblioshiny package in RStudio. The average age of the studies was 5.77, while international collaboration was determined to be 28.08%. However, urban traffic networks exhibit heterogeneous multi-scale periodic patterns and time-varying spatial interactions among road segments, which are not sufficiently captured by many existing spatio-temporal forecasting models. Fatigue crack propagation is a critical failure mechanism in engineering structures, requiring meticulous monitoring for timely maintenance. This research introduces a deep learning framework for estimating fatigue fracture length in metallic plates through acoustic emission (AE) signals. AE waveforms recorded during crack growth are transformed into time-frequency images using the Choi–Williams distribution. First, a clustering system is developed to analyze the distribution of the AE image-based dataset. This system employs a CNN-based model to extract features from the input images. Ventricular arrhythmia (VA) is a common arrhythmia in dogs. Several extracardiac causes such as pain may contribute this condition. This case report describes a 9-year-old neutered male Labrador Retriever with ventricular tachycardia (VT) potentially related to severe neck pain due to intervertebral disc disease (IVDD). The dog was referred with a sign of inability to walk, tachypnea and an irregular heartbeat. Electrocardiography confirmed VT at 160-200 bpm and an increased cardiac troponin I level (35.22 ng/ml). Despite antiarrhythmic treatment, the VT persisted. Cardiac evaluation revealed no structural abnormalities. Proper orientation of the apical cytoskeleton in auditory and vestibular hair cells is essential for their sensory function. A recently identified regulator of hair cell orientation is the G protein-coupled receptor GPR156, which signals through inhibitory heterotrimeric G proteins. In hair cells expressing the transcription factor EMX2, GPR156 is apically enriched and polarized at cell junctions. There, GPR156 signaling reverses the interpretation of tissue-level core planar cell polarity cues, effectively reversing the orientation of Emx2-positive compared to Emx2-negative hair cells. The supermarket industry is an “industry in flux.”[1] Modern grocery stores face multinational opposition at the millennium paralleling the extinction of neighborhood “mom-and-pop” stores with the rise of chain stores of the late 19th century (Strasser, 1989). With this large-scale reorganization of the grocery store industry comes a concomitant restructuring of what constitutes a grocery store itself—its architecture, services, and signs. The following study analyzes the evolving discourse on signs—or ‘signage,’ as it is called in the industry—in Progressive Grocer magazine over the 12-year period from 1996 to 2008.
