This study was conducted to know the definite & probable causes of mental retardation (M.R.) in children & how can we prevent some of the cases. Three hundred eighty three children with moderate to severe (M.R.) were studied in Kerbala Pediatric Hospital over two years from January 2003 to January 2005. The male to female ratio was 1.51:1. The etiology was known in151 patients (39.4%) & was unknown in 232 patients (60.6%). Methods: This retrospective study analysed obstetric and neonatal outcomes associated with placental abnormal localization at Bahrain Defence Force Hospital over a 12-month period (January–December 2022). Women were categorized into four groups based on placental localization: placenta previa with accreta, placenta previa with increta, minor previa, and major previa. Objectives: To investigate patterns of antidepressant prescribing and continuation rates among patients with major depressive disorder (MDD) in Saudi Arabia and to identify factors associated with treatment persistence. Method: A retrospective study was conducted at King Fahad Hospital of the University between May 2023 and February 2025. Data on patients' demographic characteristics, diagnostic information, and prescribed medications were collected. Initial antidepressant therapy and treatment continuation were evaluated, and potential influencing factors were analyzed. Results: Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) accounted for most first-line prescriptions (71%), followed by SSRI/atypical combinations (11%) and serotonin–norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs) (5%). Addendum 4 analysed ALLFROMAIR® system performance under clear-sky conditions using passive radiative cooling. A critical operational extension is fog — a phenomenon occurring several hours per day across a wide range of climates, including coastal deserts. During fog periods, the wire-forest electrode structure already present in the system functions directly as a high-efficiency fog collector, while the DEP field actively directs droplets toward the electrode surface and vibration-desorption ensures continuous drainage.

In this article, we investigate the mapping properties of potential-type operators of the form J^α_β = (E + (−Δ_ν)^β/2)^−α/β, (β, α > 0), where Δ_ν is the Laplace-Bessel differential operator. We establish norm inequalities that describe the boundedness of the operator J^α_β from L_p,ν to L_q,ν under suitable conditions on α, β, p and q. The results extend and unify the known estimates for classical potential operators. In particular, the cases β = 1 and β = 2 correspond to the modified Flett and Bessel potentials, respectively.

In this paper, we define multiplicative dual numbers, multiplicative dual vectors, scalars, and vector products associated with the multiplicative dual numbers. We give the base elements of multiplicative dual elliptic quaternions and their operational properties. We explain the rotation and translation motions in multiplicative dual elliptical quaternions. We provide the matrix representations of the screw motion using multiplicative dual elliptical quaternions. Thanks to these multiplicative dual elliptical quaternions, we explain the screw motion along with rotation and translation with theorems and proofs. We visualize this screw motion with mathematical programs by applying screw-ruled surfaces.

This report takes a comprehensive look at teacher retention and mobility in South Carolina’s public schools during a period of post-pandemic stabilization. Data show that by the 2024–25 academic year, teacher retention at the state, district, and school levels had largely returned to pre-pandemic numbers, reflecting renewed workforce stability across much of the state. At the same time, retention and mobility remain important workforce and policy considerations. Understanding where teachers move within the system—and where retention challenges persist—can help ensure instructional continuity, preserve institutional knowledge within schools, and support the long-term return on public investments in teacher preparation and professional …

The study is important because the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) has reported a concerning decline in literacy rates, particularly among students with dyslexia. This dissertation challenges the traditional historiography of the War of 1812, which favors maritime disputes and northern campaigns, by demonstrating that Florida constituted a central theater whose strategic significance has been systematically understudied. Drawing upon multi-archival research in Spanish, British, and American sources and employing a borderlands analytical framework, this study argues that three interconnected imperatives, not discrete motivations, shaped American policy toward Florida during the conflict. First, Florida represented a critical national security vulnerability: British forces exploited Spanish colonial weakness to establish military footholds, armed Creek and Seminole allies, and thereby threatened the entire southern frontier with coordinated indigenous-imperial …

This conference-style presentation will focus on the repertoire of Camille Saint-Saëns (1835-1921). While his Ave Maria setting and Requiem Mass have continued to be widely performed well after his death, Saint-Saëns left behind an oeuvre of over sixty choral works. This presentation aims to highlight these works, making them applicable for choral ensembles of a variety of size, level, and voicing. Saint-Saëns’s choral output consists of triumphant, nationalistic TTBB settings, several accessible motets, SSA and SATB pieces depicting mythology, nature, and romantic heroes’ journeys, and even chansons featuring the composer’s own poetry.
