Near miss incidents in the construction industry, when reported, serve as critical indicators of safety performance. When reported, organizations can identify hazards early and reduce the incidence of injuries and illnesses. Limited research exists on how construction workers perceive near miss incidents and how they are influenced to report them. Semi-structured audio-recorded interviews with 15 Texas-based construction workers in three cities about their lived experiences with near-miss reporting were conducted between July 18 and August 22, 2025. Tradition is an inescapable element of institutional life, including religious institutions. Traditions inevitably emerge whether in churches, corporations, families, or nations. Within the Christian faith, the critical issue is not the presence of tradition, but the authority and function ascribed to it. This study concerns itself with the role of tradition in both individual and communal expressions of Christianity. Traditions can foster cohesion and identity within Christian communities. The rate of sexual assaults for women, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) individuals on college campuses is reported at a higher rate compared to males and is continuing to rise at a staggering rate, causing this to become a national issue. The purpose of this phenomenological study is to understand the subjective experience, campus culture, psychological disorders, and changes in students' religious beliefs after a sexual assault. Victims’ perceptions and campus norms reporting sexual violence and assault incidents help to explain institutional support systems, the afterlife, and long-term outcomes of victims, prevention programs, and services. Cultural Influences On Mental Health Help-Seeking: A Comparative Study Of Haiti And The United States, Luther-King Jean-Baptiste

Mental health stigma and help-seeking behaviors vary across cultural contexts and are shaped by shared beliefs, values, and social expectations. This qualitative study examined how cultural meaning systems influenced mental health help-seeking behaviors in Haiti and the United States. Using surveys and semi-structured interviews, data were collected from 30 participants (15 from each country) who reported a history of psychological distress or mental health challenges. Findings indicated that help-seeking behaviors were not determined solely by symptom severity but were embedded within cultural, relational, spiritual, and structural frameworks. The purpose of this research study was to discover why the female executive employee population is experiencing a gap in representation in senior management at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The scholarly literature addressing federal disparities across the gender demographic identified several issues such as underrepresentation, social equity, pay equity, turnover intention, job satisfaction, and diversity as primary barrier drivers preventing or slowing female promotion. The issues are rarely investigated in an intersecting manner which plausibly could create several hurdles women must navigate to obtain a promotion and decrease their representation in executive service. Precise estimation of evapotranspiration (ET) is essential for sustainable water management in arid agroecosystems, particularly for high-water-demand crops such as rice. This study integrated very-high-resolution UAV thermal–multispectral imagery with a Two-Source Energy Balance model (UAV–TSEB) and a field-calibrated AquaCrop model to quantify daily ET and its components under continuous flooding on the arid Peruvian coast during the 2024–2025 season. A network of 24 drainage lysimeters provided an independent observational benchmark (ETlys); to represent the treatment-level response, lysimeter observations were aggregated as the mean across the 24 units for each UAV campaign. This dissertation investigates the interplay of land speculation, legal authority, and political governance in the Florida Territory from 1821 to 1845. Centered around the extensive Forbes and Innerarity land claims carried over from the Spanish period, the litigation and politics are demonstrative of the territorial administration and was profoundly shaped by a concentrated cohort. This faction of legally trained officeholders and investors, figures such as Joseph M. White, Richard K. Call, James, Gadsden, and William P. DuVal, operated as governing nucleus. South Carolina Teacher Attrition, Mobility, And Retention Report For 2024–25, Angela Starrett, Svetlana Dmitrieva, Brian Cartiff

This report takes a comprehensive look at teacher retention and mobility in South Carolina’s public schools during a period of post-pandemic stabilization. Data show that by the 2024–25 academic year, teacher retention at the state, district, and school levels had largely returned to pre-pandemic numbers, reflecting renewed workforce stability across much of the state. At the same time, retention and mobility remain important workforce and policy considerations. Understanding where teachers move within the system—and where retention challenges persist—can help ensure instructional continuity, preserve institutional knowledge within schools, and support the long-term return on public investments in teacher preparation and professional …

Examining A Mindfulness-Based Intervention For Anxiety: A Single Case Analysis With A Mixed Research Method., Aysun Parlar Yazici, Alyson Norman, Alison Bacon

This single-case study examines the impact of a 6-week Mindfulness-Based Intervention (MBI) on an individual experiencing anxiety, with a particular focus on intolerance of uncertainty (IU). A mixed-methods approach was used, combining quantitative measures with qualitative data from session notes, interviews, and participant feedback. Quantitative findings indicated reductions in stress (DASS-21: pre-test = 36, post-test = 26), anxiety (pre-test = 30, post-test = 18), and depression (pre-test = 38, post-test = 28) scores from pre- to post-intervention. Increases were observed in mindfulness (pre-test = 42, post-test = 64) and resilience (pre-test = 28, post-test = 36), alongside a reduction in …

Graduate students in fully online programs often begin their academic journey without adequate preparation for the emotional, structural, and cultural challenges of graduate-level work. For students who are first-generation, racially marginalized, international, or returning to education after time away, this lack of scaffolding can lead to early disengagement, underperformance, or attrition. In remote areas, a scarcity of accessible water poses a significant predicament, and sun-powered propelling contraptions offer promising solutions. It is possible to collect solar energy with the goal of raising a fluid. Bubble pumps are used in the process of creating two-phase flows via the boiling of fluids in diffusion-absorption refrigeration cycles. In this study, the effect of an electronic control system (ECS) on the performance of a solar heater fabricated from recycled materials was investigated . The study found that the maximum thermal energy output before installing the ECS stood at 378 W, which was significantly improved to 450 W after integration, indicating a commendable enhancement in the efficiency of the solar heater. The thermal efficiency of the solar heater also saw a substantial jump from 71.7% to 82% after connecting the ECS. The reservoir's sediment sources encompass the Tigris River, the Greater Zab River, and the Lesser Zab River. Climate change exerts a significant influence on both sediment accumulation within the dam reservoir and associated water resources. It is a classical theme in elasticity theory that seeks to find the displacements and stresses in the half-space caused by known boundary loads. This study was designed to investigate how some important physical properties of Plaster of Paris (POP) ceilings are affected by the utilization of untreated oil palm mesocarp fiber (UOPMF) and treated oil palm mesocarp fiber (TOPMF) as a modifier. Both fibers were utilized separately at various weight proportions (0, 10, 20, 30, and 40%) to fabricate the ceiling samples. Groundnut shells and sawdust are generated in vast quantities yearly but under-utilized. In developing countries, this situation leads to their disposal by unplanned landfilling, indiscriminate dumping, or open burning as ineffective solid waste management systems persist. Such practices constitute severe environmental problems that need to be urgently tackled. In this work, composite boards were fabricated from groundnut shell particles (GSP) and sawdust particles (SDP) at varying volumetric proportions of 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100 % using Topbond as a binding agent. The present study harnessed a commercially available polydimethylsiloxane (PDMSTM4060) membrane designed for the selective separation of soluble benzene (C6H6) and toluene (C7H8) compounds from an aqueous solution employing pervaporation (PV). Two distinct mathematical models, namely the universal quasi-chemical (UNIQUAC) model and the conventional driving force model, were formulated to replicate the intricate transport mechanisms of both organic solvent and water across these membranes. These models were instrumental in projecting the membrane's performance across diverse operational scenarios. Carbon fiber cloths (CFCs) are essential materials extensively studied and utilized in numerous applications, including supercapacitors (SCs), batteries, solar cells, and catalysis. CFC is gaining significant research attention as an inexpensive choice for (SC) electrode materials, mainly owing to its peculiar adaptability, which makes it suitable for conveyable or flexible devices. In fact, this characteristic is not easily attainable with other carbon-based matrices.
