In 2025, ACER published the Teacher Practice Improvement Tool (TPIT), as part of its family of improvement tools. A comprehensive review of international research was undertaken to inform the development of the TPIT, which resulted in the inductive development of five inter-related domains that holistically capture the practices of highly effective teachers. This document summarises the research evidence underpinning each of the five domains of the TPIT, drawing on a review of 102 studies. While recognising the interconnections between domains, it presents a structured narrative of key evidence and research-informed considerations for each domain. Therapy using Bruton’s tyrosine kinase (BTK) inhibitors has improved clinical outcomes but primary and secondary resistance to BTK inhibitor (BTKi) therapy affects more than half of MCL patients. Limited research has reported the reliability of rapid force generation characteristics during isometric assessments of the hamstrings. Therefore, the purpose of the present study was to determine the between-session reliability of rapid force generating characteristics of the hamstrings and relationship to maximal force production. Twenty-three female soccer players (age: 20.7 ± 4.7 years; height: 168.7 ± 5.9 cm; body mass: 64.4 ± 6.7 kg) performed three unilateral trials of the 90–90 isometric hamstring assessment, on two separate occasions, separated by 7 days. Science shows are often posited as a route to encourage young people to engage with science. Using a mixed methods approach, our research investigated the impact of attending a science show on high school students’ intentions to study science or pursue a career in science. We found that while a single visit to a science show has little impact on students’ aspirations, it can reinforce students’ confidence in their ability to succeed in science. In terms of design and performance, the best-received shows included ‘real-world’ content that students could identify as relevant to their lives.

This study explores the impact of medical school orientation on student’s adoption of deep and strategic study approaches. At our rural Southeastern US medical school, the 2023 orientation was redesigned to include comprehensive sessions on study resources, time management, and curriculum structure.

Method

To evaluate the changes in students' study approaches, we used the modified Approaches to Study Skills Inventory for Students (ASSIST) questionnaire before and after orientation. Thirty-seven students completed the pre-orientation survey, and 17 provided complete data for analysis.

Results

The aim of this study is to investigate students' knowledge, attitudes, perceptions, and experiences regarding the use of ChatGPT within active learning methodologies.

Methods: A quantitative cross-sectional survey was conducted using a questionnaire with 913 nursing students from four public higher nursing institutes.

Capture-recapture models are essential tools for estimating population dynamics in ecological studies. A fundamental component of these models is the capture history matrix, which records individual detection over time and serves as the basis for estimating survival and capture probabilities. This presentation explores three statistical approaches to these estimations: the Cormack-Jolly-Seber (CJS) model, the Hidden Markov Model (HMM) for CJS, and the Bayesian CJS model. Fiber-optic interferometers are widely used in localized sensing applications due to their compact size, high sensitivity, and immunity to electromagnetic interference. In this paper, we propose and experimentally demonstrate a novel interrogation scheme for fiber-optic interferometric sensors, utilizing microwave photonics (MWP) and joint frequency-time domain analysis. As a proof of concept, a miniature fiber in-line Fabry-Perot interferometer (FPI) is integrated with a microwave photonic single-passband filter, enhanced by a dispersion compensation module to improve sensing performance. By applying an inverse Fourier transform to the system's complex frequency response, the time-domain representation of the signal is obtained, translating spectral shifts of …
