Medicinal plants have been utilized to treat a wide range of diseases and have constituted a primary source of bioactive compounds for pharmaceutical development. Plant proteases are essential in regulating metabolic pathways that influence gene expression and remove unfavourable metabolites. The current study aims to evaluate the in vitro proteolytic and bioactivity of the methanolic leaf extract of Arum palaestinum. The plant extract's TPC, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-hemolytic activities were determined using colorimetric methods, and the proteolytic activity was assessed using casein as a substrate. This is a molecular analytical cross-sectional study of Neospora caninum in the placentas and umbilical cord blood from aborted women. The results will be compared with molecular examinations of the placentas from several aborted livestock. 157 samples of placentas from aborted cows (58), sheep (51), and goats (48) were collected. Traditional artificial intelligence models learn by passively digesting large datasets. In contrast, human infants discover skills by actively interacting with their bodies and environments without explicit external rewards. This thesis introduces the Composer Architecture, a machine learning framework designed to mimic this autonomous, open-ended development. The Composer architecture operates in a multi-stage loop, the latent model using Contrastive Learning Through Time (CLTT) to compress high-dimensional raw data from visual, proprioceptive, and touch sensors into a low-dimensional space. As wearable technology continues to develop, wearable devices are becoming more common and being increasingly used to collect datasets for depression assessment. Documenting the collection procedures, recruitment strategies, and demographics of these datasets is important to allow for synthesis across the datasets and uncover common limitations. As such, in this scoping review, we identify 80 observational datasets collected by wearable devices through the start of 2025 that can be used for depression assessment. Students’ approaches to solving contextual mathematics problems involving logarithms vary significantly due to differences in their prior mathematical understanding. These differences may trigger commognitive conflict during the interpretation and reasoning processes when students attempt to construct mathematical meaning from contextual situations. This qualitative study aimed to explore how commognitive conflict emerges as a mechanism of mathematical interpretation in students’ discourse while solving logarithmic contextual problems. Richard Carrier is arguably the contemporary voice promoting Jesus-mythicism, the idea that Jesus of Nazareth never existed. Though in the scholarly minority, Carrier has assembled numerous arguments for rejecting the Gospels and Acts as historically reliable, as well as all historical references to Jesus in Paul’s letters. He has proposed his own rules for historical inquiry to replace the traditional criteria of authenticity used by historical-Jesus scholars. In conjunction with his own criteria, Carrier has demonstrated the use of Bayes’ Theorem to assess the probability of Jesus’ existence. Subjects throughout the manuscript range from fireworks, sourdough starter, dreams, and Facebook Marketplace to art history, floating the Chattahoochee River, weddings, music performances, and irrational fears. This study aims to develop a Student Worksheet (Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik [LKPD]) based on the local wisdom of Besilek Serawai for sixth-grade elementary science education and to evaluate its validity. The study employed the ADDIE development model, consisting of five stages: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. The developed LKPD integrates Besilek Serawai, a traditional martial art of the Seluma community, with the concept of the human locomotor system in science instruction. Background/Objectives: Oral potentially malignant disorders (OPMDs) require accurate risk stratification to identify patients at the highest risk for severe oral epithelial dysplasia (OED) or oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). In this dissertation, I show that Merleau-Ponty’s philosophy of nature is also a radical critique of the metaphysical foundations of natural science. This critique leads us to a new ontology for science, grounded in the lifeworld. I focus on how his philosophy offers a detailed critique of both physicalism and mechanism. For Merleau-Ponty, mechanism is not just the strict adherence to classical causality, but any view that asserts that classical causality has any role to play in reality at all. The purpose of this hermeneutic phenomenological study was to understand the lived experiences of supporting students' executive functioning skills for experienced teachers at schools in Ohio. Cognitive load theory, acknowledging the relationship between executive functioning and cognition, was used to guide the study. Under this theory, human beings have a flexible yet finite ability to acquire knowledge, which is mediated through components of executive functioning, including working memory, inhibitory control, and self-regulation. This phenomenological study explored the lived experiences of individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders (SUD) and mental health disorders (MHD), with particular attention to the transition into polysubstance use. The purpose of the study was to understand how individuals experience and make meaning of these co-occurring conditions and the factors influencing substance use patterns. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with participants who reported both mental health challenges and substance use histories. Thematic analysis revealed that participants experienced SUD and MHD as deeply interconnected and mutually reinforcing, often functioning within a cyclical pattern of distress and temporary relief.
