Exploring The Interactions Between Student–Teacher Relationships, Teacher Passion, And Student Intrinsic Motivation: A Critical Examination Of The Hierarchical Model Of Inspirational Teaching, Stephen W. Rowcliffe

This study critically examines the Hierarchical Model of Inspirational Teaching (Rowcliffe, 2022), a conceptual framework proposing that pedagogical competence, student-teacher relationships, and teacher passion are associated with student intrinsic motivation. Although the model has previously been presented conceptually, it has not been subjected to quantitative scrutiny.

Data were collected from 369 students and 33 teachers across two international post-16 schools. Student questionnaires assessed perceptions of student-teacher relationships, teacher passion, and intrinsic motivation, while teacher questionnaires examined burnout. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were used to examine construct structure, followed by correlation, regression, and mediation analyses to explore relationships among variables. …

Diagnosis of Babycurus ansorgei Hirst, 1911 is revised; its male is described for the first time. Babycurus crassicaudatus Roewer, 1952, is revalidated (it was erroneously synonymized with B. ansorgei, since the females of both species are morphologically almost identical). Uroplectes angolensis sp. n. and U. xavieri sp. n. are described from Angola. Cave ecosystems host specialized phototrophic biofilms structured primarily by light availability, yet quantitative assessments of aerophytic microalgal community organization in tropical limestone caves remain limited. This study investigated spatial variation in the structure of aerophytic microalgal communities across four ecologically distinct zones (entrance, transition, penetration, and low light) of Gua Tempurung, Malaysia. Stratified sampling was conducted during three seasonal periods. Dominant phototrophic morphospecies were identified using microscopy, and community composition was analyzed in relation to key environmental variables. Little is known about many of the 52 crayfish species in Texas. This thesis investigates physiological tolerances of three species endemic to the Jackson Vale ecoregion of Southeast Texas, the Bastrop crayfish (Procambarus texanus), Nueces crayfish (Procambarus nueces), and the Fayette’s crayfish (Procambarus fayettei) as well as the White River crayfish (Procambarus acutus), which is ubiquitous throughout East Texas. Thermal, hypoxia, and acidity tolerances were tested on wild caught individuals through laboratory assays. Findings from this study will inform wildlife managers of future conservation strategies relating to these endemic species.

This article addresses the problem of managing multi-agent robotic systems using artificial intelligence technologies. A hybrid model combining the Vision-Language-Action (VLA) architecture with the Multi-Agent Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient (MADDPG) algorithm is proposed for the synergetic control of a group of robots. The model is built on the Centralized Training with Decentralized Execution (CTDE) principle, with a Social-Force component incorporated into the reward function to automatically maintain a safe distance between agents. This study aimed to explore the potential pathways through which corneal biomechanical and topographic parameters might link obesity and KC using structural equation modeling (SEM). Methods: This case-control study included 759 participants (363 patients with KC and 396 controls) from the Chinese Keratoconus (CKC) Cohort Study. Background: Rising cancer incidence and improved survivorship are straining the oncology workforce, increasing reliance on Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). However, there is a lack of standardized educational resources for APP radiation oncology training across practice settings. Most APPs receive variable, resource-dependent, and on-the-job training. Evidence shows that the lack of standardized training leads to gaps in foundational knowledge, reduced confidence in toxicity management, inconsistent role development, and variable satisfaction with training and transition into practice.

Ecosystems are shaped by communities of microorganisms whose niches and impacts depend on functional profiles influenced by gene gains and losses. Culture-based experiments demonstrate that mobile genetic elements (MGEs) can mediate gene flux, but quantitative understanding of these dynamics in natural systems remains limited. Here we develop and apply a systematic, meta-omic framework to investigate MGEs in a complex natural system using an 8-year soil time series collected at Stordalen Mire, in Sweden’s thawing permafrost margin. INTRODUCTION: Stroke is a leading cause of neurological-related death in the Caribbean. The Dominican Republic has among the highest stroke-related mortality rates in the Americas. We aimed to determine ischemic stroke etiologies, characterize comorbidities, and describe outcomes in the Dominican Republic using the TOAST (Trial of Org 10172 in Acute Stroke Treatment) classification.

METHODS: We analyzed a multicenter quality registry between January 2022 and October 2024. Statistical analyses included Mann–Whitney U and Kruskal–Wallis tests with Bonferroni correction, chi-square tests, and Spearman correlation.

Trimming of the three glucose residues decorating nascent N-glycoproteins is a critical step for their entry into the endoplasmic reticulum quality control (ERQC) and recognition by ER chaperones. However, the functional relevance of the second glucose (G2) and the regulatory step upstream of its removal by glucosidase II (GCS2) remain poorly understood. Background: Despite the widespread adoption of chemoimmunotherapy in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), the mechanisms by which cytotoxic chemotherapy engages antitumor immunity remain poorly defined. Identifying tumor-intrinsic immunogenic programs that predict and enhance responsiveness to immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) is therefore of critical clinical importance.

Methods: Transcriptomic signatures of TREX1 deficiency were generated from CRISPR-engineered TNBC models and applied to multiple independent TNBC cohorts treated with chemoimmunotherapy. Definitions from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists emphasize historical clinical presentation. Alopecia universalis (AU) is a severe autoimmune disorder characterized by complete loss of scalp and body hair. The introduction of Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors has expanded therapeutic options for patients with severe disease; however, treatment responses remain variable, particularly among individuals with extensive and longstanding hair loss. As global aquaculture expands, sustainable alternative feed ingredients are needed to reduce reliance on fishmeal (FM) and conventional plant proteins. Herein, this study evaluated defatted black soldier fly (BSF; Hermetia illucens) larvae meal as a replacement mainly for soybean meal (SBM) and soy protein concentrate (SPC) in juvenile mirror carp diets. Fish (initial weight: 7.28 ± 0.09 g) were reared in a recirculating aquaculture system and fed for 8 weeks on either a control diet or diets containing 20% (BSF20) or 40% (BSF40) BSF meal. The criminalization of pregnancy outcomes—such as miscarriages, abortion, obstetric emergencies, and stillbirth—is a violation of fundamental human rights guarantees; including the right to a fair trial when read in conjunction with the right to equality and the right to health. This article outlines state obligations under international human rights law toward women charged in pregnancy prosecutions, translating them into national criminal defense strategies using a gender perspective. Carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) is a water-processable binder widely used for graphite anodes. However, a microscopic understanding of why the identity of CMC counterions (Li⁺/Na⁺/K⁺) strongly affects electrode performance remains limited. Here, molecular dynamics (MD) simulations are used to track Li⁺ transport accessibility across electrolyte/CMC/graphite three-phase interfaces, comparing pure CMC-Li, CMC-Na, CMC-K, and mixed-counterion CMC binders. We find that CMC-Li sustains a continuous Li⁺ transport pathway from the electrolyte through the binder phase toward graphite. Citizen science approaches are increasingly used to support data generation and public engagement across the environmental sciences, yet their wider pedagogical value within physical geography remains underexamined. To explore the value of mapping-based citizen science for both glaciological investigation and geographical learning, we developed GlacierMap, an interactive online tool enabling participants to map glacier change in Peru’s Cordillera Blanca over a 34-year period. Cashew nut shell liquid (CNSL) is a mixture of phenolic compounds that can effectively replace commercially available phenols in various applications. This study investigated the physicochemical properties and chemical composition of CNSL extracted using CO₂–expanded hexane (CXH) and compared to the traditional Soxhlet extraction method.
