Objective:

The present study was designed to investigate the protective and potential effect of gallic acid against doxorubicin (DOX) induced cardiotoxicity.

Materials and Methods:

Adult Wistar albino rats of either sex weighing 150-200 g were used in this study. DOX administered intraperitoneally in six equal injections (each containing 2.5 mg/kg at 48 h intervals) to total cumulative doses of 15 mg/kg over a period of 2 weeks to induce cardiotoxicity. The estimation of cardiac and lipid biomarkers of both control and treated animals were observed.

Hematologic malignancies account for a significant number of annual cancer diagnoses and deaths across the globe. Historically, the prognosis for relapsed and/or refractory disease after standard therapies, such as chemotherapy and/or radiation, was poor. Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy offers an additional treatment option. While promising, this type of immunotherapy also comes with potentially severe side effects, toxicities, and limitations. A better understanding of the development, administration, and management of patients undergoing treatment can provide the general clinician with the knowledge to assist within a multidisciplinary team to ultimately improve patient outcomes.

Objectives of the study were to evaluate the effectiveness of structured counseling program on quality of life (QoL) and to find out the association between pre test level of QoL and selected demographic variables.

A study was conducted on 80 HIV infected postnatal mothers by using the True experimental Solomon four group research design and data were analyzed in terms of descriptive and inferential statistics.

In conclusion, it was inferred that the structured counseling program was effective on quality of life among HIV infected postnatal mothers and selected variables did not have significant association with QoL

The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the need for fast, non-invasive, and cost-effective diagnostic tools. Cough sounds, as a prominent symptom of respiratory diseases, present a promising modality for automated COVID-19 detection. In this study, we propose a novel multi-modal deep learning framework for COVID-19 detection that leverages cough sounds and patient-specific medical information. Our approach extracts two types of acoustic features—Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCCs) and Mel spectrograms—and integrates them with clinical metadata to improve diagnostic ac-curacy. The aim of the study was to conduct research to determine the possibility of predicting the approximate fatty acid composition of blends based on the iodine number. The fatty acid composition was determined by the chromatographic method and the results were subsequently used to identify the composition of blends by determining the iodine number. The iodine number was determined by calculation and titrimetric methods, comparing the differences between the obtained values. Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) has one of the lowest 5-year survival rates of all cancers, and limited treatment options exist. Immunotherapy is effective in some cancer types, but the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME) of PDAC is a barrier to effective immunotherapy. CXCR2+ myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) are abundant in PDAC tumors in humans and in mouse models. MDSCs suppress effector cell function, making them attractive targets for restoring anti-tumor immunity. Tourette Syndrome affects 1 in 100 U.S. children but remains widely misunderstood due to stigma, delayed diagnosis, and media misrepresentation. This neurological disorder is characterized by involuntary tics and often co-occurs with ADHD, anxiety, and sleep disorders. Children with Tourette Syndrome face disproportionate challenges in social, academic, and emotional settings—despite having average or above-average intelligence. One-third engage in self-harm, and suicide rates are four times the national average. Peer-education programs like the Tourette Association of America’s Youth Ambassador initiative have shown promise in reducing stigma, but unequal access and weak institutional support limit their impact.
