BACKGROUND:

In today’s society, suicide is major public problem and has become a global issue accounting for about 1.4% of the death worldwide. It is highly undesirable event and urgently requires development of preventive approaches. Hypothesis: Cholesterol is a core component of central nervous system essential for cell membrane stability and the correct functioning of neurotransmission. It is hypothesized that reduced serum cholesterol level may be accompanied by changes in function of serotonin receptors and transporters.

AIMS:

B. pygmaeus sp. n. is described, fully complemented with color photographs of live and preserved specimens, as well as their habitats. The federal government has started the process of ramping up U.S. offshore wind energy production by orders of magnitude for the next decade. In the past, affected communities have shown the ability to delay and even halt offshore wind development, and some stakeholders believe that the environmental impacts of these projects are too uncertain to risk undertaking them. Currently, the regulatory road to a fully commissioned offshore wind farm is lengthy, expensive, and full of hurdles, which include grappling with local community pushback. In 1972, Montana, a prominent petrostate, amended its constitution to enshrine the inalienable right to a clean and healthful environment. After decades of fossil fuel production and consumption, which led to high levels of greenhouse gas emissions, this green amendment became the foundation of Held v. Montana--the first youth-led constitutional climate case to prevail against a petrostate. This Article illustrates the importance of Held for the plaintiffs in the case, for current and future residents of the state, and for plaintiffs in future climate change litigation. A growing body of literature has suggested that ethnic-racial socialization (ERS) is a protective factor for Biracial youth as it can provide youth with skills to face different adversities like racial discrimination, ultimately improving their psychological well-being. Various types of ERS exist (e.g., verbal, non-verbal, etc) across different levels (e.g., parent-child, household/family) but some have been overlooked and understudied in research. Honor Moore was an Irish food writer who started writing a daily recipe column for the Belfast Newsletter in 1946, “Cookery Hints” written under her nom de plume, Housekeeper was published until 1963. In her personal collection there are scrapbooks of cuttings of her columns. Moore’s 1952 scrapbook, comprises recipe columns from each month of that year as well as cuttings she saved from other newspapers and magazines. This study aimed to examine the perceptions of secondary school students in Mafraq Governorate towards distance learning and self-learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. To achieve this, the researcher designed a questionnaire consisting of 30 items, the validity and reliability of which were confirmed. Background/Objectives: Anthocyanin (ACN)-rich foods are known to influence the gut microbiota composition, but the temporal dynamics and structural specificity of these effects remain poorly understood. This study investigated how distinct ACN-rich fruit supplements impact the gut microbiome over time in the context of a Western-style diet. We hypothesized that ACN-induced microbial shifts would occur rapidly, differ by ACN source, and require continued intake to persist. Automatic vehicle guidance is prevalent for agricultural tractors. An unguided implement being pulled by a tractor can deviate from the desired path by varying soil conditions and gravity, e.g., on a sidehill (which causes tractor roll) or curve. The deviation from the guidance path will cause navigation error, and seed and fertilizer deviations can cause yield reductions. There are some commercial active implement guidance systems, but their steering performance was primarily reported on flat ground and not well-reported on side hills. However, significant differences exist between humans and animals, which have the potential to confound results obtained from such experiments. These differences result in reduced translatability of animal data to humans, which is a major contributing factor to the 92% failure rate for novel therapies in clinical trials. The goal of giving antibiotics to children usually is to treat an infection — an earache, a respiratory tract infection, or perhaps a potentially deadly bloodstream infection. Those antibiotics, however, will often kill more than just the bacteria that are causing the infection. Humans have large quantities of “good bacteria” in our intestinal tracts, on our skin, and elsewhere on our body that play an important role in keeping us healthy.

Even though the impact of cover crops on soil moisture has been well documented, little work has investigated the resulting impact on methane emissions. Therefore, the objective was to determine the influence of a dormant seeded rye (Secale cereale) cover crop on soil temperatures, soil moisture, inorganic N, and total CH₄-C emission in a well-drained frigid soil from the start of growth in April/May through corn's (Zea mays) V4 growth stage. The National Aquatic Barrier Inventory estimates over 550,000 dams and over 298,000 road-related barriers that fragment streams in the United States¹. BACKGROUND: Genomic (and other ‘omic) data have provided valuable insights on the pharmacological signatures of antidepressant response, but results from individual studies are largely heterogeneous. In this work, we synthesized gene expression data for fluoxetine treatment in both human patients and rodent models, to better understand biological pathways affected by treatment, as well as those that may distinguish clinical or behavioral response.
