Our study investigates several chemical indicators of pollution whose parameters have negative impacts on surface water quality in Prizren, focusing on several seasonal months and identifying pollution sources. During a one-year period, water samples were taken at key locations, in the Lumbardh River of Prizren, to analyze several parameters such as pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5), chemical oxygen demand (COD), total dissolved solids (TDS). However, their massive and often uncontrolled use has raised serious concerns about negative impacts on natural ecosystems. This paper comprehensively analyzes their effects on three key environmental components: air, soil, and water. In terrestrial ecosystems, these chemicals alter microbial biodiversity, harm beneficial organisms such as earthworms and pollinating insects, reduce soil fertility, and persist and bioaccumulate. This review explores the effects of consanguinity on the incidence, complexity, and spectrum of inherited diseases, emphasizing rare genetic syndromes within diverse populations. Consanguinity rates vary significantly by region, directly influencing the prevalence of founder mutations and specific AR diseases. The study aims to determine whether and to what extent there is an effect of psychostimulation through extracurricular activities on the receptive emotional decoding competence of 10-11 year old students to decode emotions through nonverbal indicators.The study sample consisted of 107 subjects (N=58 girls and N=49 boys). The experimental design exposed the experimental group (N=43) to the psychostimulant treatment, while the control group (N=64) served to control the effect of relevant variables. Eczema and superficial mycoses are common, chronic dermatologic conditions that affect quality of life. Conventional therapies may cause side effects and resistance. This prospective observational study evaluated a topical emulsion containing Lawsonia inermis and Juglans regia in a community pharmacy with pharmacist-led interventions. Seventy-three adults applied the emulsion for up to 21 days. Significant improvements in erythema, scaling, and pruritus were observed, particularly in cases of chronic eczema. No adverse events occurred. Pharmacist counseling improved adherence and reduced corticosteroid use. Ribosomes, as essential cellular machines for protein synthesis, are tightly regulated in normal cells but become dysregulated during cancer development, contributing to uncontrolled proliferation and biomass accumulation. Increased ribosome biogenesis and mutations in ribosomal proteins are hallmark features of many cancers. These alterations often lead to ribosomal stress, triggering p53-mediated cellular responses, a key tumor suppressor pathway frequently mutated or inactivated in malignancies. The aim of this study was to assess the concentration of radon (²²²Rn) in 31 locations, including schools, public buildings, and private residences in the municipalities of Gjilan, Kamenica, and Viti, to compare the results with international standards and identify potential public health risks. Measurements were conducted during May–June 2025 using the portable AMES PRM-145 device, which detects alpha radiation through scintillation cells. Understanding the sequence of embryonic and larval development and the factors necessary to induce reproduction in captivity are critical for developing new species for commercial or conservation aquaculture. In this study, we describe the adult reproductive behaviours and development of eggs, embryos and early larvae of captive monkeyface pricklebacks, Cebidicthys violaceus, compared to previously documented wild observations. Eggs were laid in cohesive clutches and guarded by the male parent until hatching began 23 days post fertilization at 13°C. Fertilized eggs were spherical, approximately 1.5 mm in diameter, covered in an opaque chorion, and contained six adhesive pads around the outside. …

Current evidence suggests that exercise is safe and well-tolerated by cancer patients and may have great potential in mitigating CRF, one of the most common adverse events experienced by patients (Campbell et al., 2019). This study aimed to evaluate if supervised group exercise for 60 minutes (30 minutes aerobic/30 minutes strength) for 12 weeks at low-to-moderate intensity can impact CRF levels over time in cancer patients. Non-coding RNAs including miRNAs, long-ncRNAs, and circular RNAs play crucial roles in cell-to-cell communication and epigenetic regulation. They control gene expression at multiple levels, including transcriptional, post-transcriptional, and translational, thereby influencing associated signaling pathways. Encapsulated within exosomes, micro-vesicles, and apoptotic bodies, ncRNAs can be transported between cells while being protected from harsh environmental conditions. BACKGROUND: Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a sight-threatening retinal disease with pathological mediation by vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). Intravitreal anti-VEGF injections are commonly used to manage DR. Ultra-wide-field fluorescein angiography (UWF-FA) can assess DR severity and characterize the amount of non-perfused retina (non-perfusion area, NP), neovascularization (neovascular area, NV), and foveal avascular zone (FAZ). However, the association between anti-VEGF treatment and NP, NV, and FAZ characterized by UWF-FA is not well established.
