Elisabetta Sirani’S Timoclea: Baroque Agency And The Aesthetics Of Feminine Rage, Shaylen Grace Gardner

This thesis examines Timoclea Kills the Captain of Alexander the Great (1659) by Elisabetta Sirani as a foundational example of feminine rage within the Baroque period. By framing Timoclea’s violent act not as an outlier or solely reactive gesture, but as a deliberate, composed assertion of power, Sirani constructs a model of feminine agency that defies patriarchal expectations of female submission and passivity. Through interdisciplinary analysis grounded in feminist theory, formal visual analysis, and retrospective cultural studies, this research argues that Sirani’s Timoclea exemplifies the Baroque’s strategic use of socially acceptable iconography to veil explicit challenges to gendered expectations. Problem: Hospital-acquired pressure injuries (HAPIs) are a preventable, yet persistent issue in healthcare, particularly in the pulmonary and infectious disease unit of a Northeastern U.S. hospital. HAPIs prolong hospital stays, increase healthcare costs, and pose potential legal risks. Despite implementing evidence-based protocols, including the leaf patient monitoring system, the hospital reported six avoidable HAPIs cases in the early fiscal year 2025.

Aim: The quality improvement (QI) project aimed to reduce HAPIs incidents by 10% within 12 weeks by introducing turn teams and verbal reminders to enhance existing protocols.

This study aims to develop digital comic learning media that is effective in increasing students' interest in learning about reaction rate material, focusing on the media's validity, practicality, and overall effectiveness. This research utilizes the research and development method with the ADDIE model. Research instruments were used, including validity sheets to assess the media's validity, student activity observations, and student response questionnaires to evaluate the media's practicality, as well as student interest questionnaires and learning outcomes to measure the effectiveness of the learning media. Plastic waste is a global problem affecting General Santos City (GenSan). Though brown paper bags are alternatives, they tear easily and may cause deforestation. South Cotabato, including GenSan, produces large amounts of tilapia. Their discarded scales contain collagen that can be used to create sustainable biopolymers. This study explores the potential of tilapia scales for creating bioplastics, focusing on tensile strength and biodegradability as eco-friendly alternatives to plastics.

This study proposes a hybrid approach to predict students’ final academic performance in a mathematics course by integrating Random Forest, a supervised machine learning model, with neutrosophic logic to assess prediction reliability. The objective is to improve educational forecasting by not only predicting grades but also quantifying the confidence of each prediction through neutrosophic components—truth (T), indeterminacy (I), and falsity (F). Purpose: This case report provides an example of the utilization of true wireless earbud (TWE) technology within virtual mentoring sessions in an outpatient setting, aimed at enhancing mentee learning within a neurologic physical therapy residency program.

This paper aims to analyze the 2018 Netflix miniseries adaptation of Richard Adams's classic novel, Watership Down, using Critical Animal Studies and a Cinematographic lens. The analysis focuses on its visual storytelling through the camera angles, lighting, and character representation. Adams’ novel was adapted three times. The first two animated versions were horrifying to the extent that one of them was banned. The most recent version used Computer-Generated Imagery (CGI) technology to be more friendly. The project integrates a FastAPI backend with a Next.js frontend to transform raw text or article URLs into structured sustainability data, detect trends over time, and generate visual outputs for users. This thesis suggests that the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe, during the Colonial Period, provided the diverse population of colonial New Spain (and, in particular, Mexico City/Tenochtitlán) with an image that functioned to unify even some of the most seemingly disparate belief systems, those of Christian Spaniards and Indigenous Nahuatl traditions. This project aimed to improve the process of transporting 10,000-pound industrial waste bins. The current method for relocating these bins poses safety risks and requires significant manual effort. This project presents a conceptual solution that enables a single operator to efficiently and safely move roll-off bins using a custom-designed trailer system. The design incorporates three main subsystems: a trailer frame, an integrated winch system, and an off-the-market puller device to guide and secure the bin during transport.
