What Does Nature Mean In The Abolition Of Man? Or, The Participatory Ontology Behind The Sublime Waterfall, Chris R. Armstrong Jan 2026

What Does Nature Mean In The Abolition Of Man? Or, The Participatory Ontology Behind The Sublime Waterfall, Chris R. Armstrong

Sehnsucht: The C. S. Lewis Journal

If Lewis’s Abolition of Man is simply an argument for objective moral value, or what we have called “the natural law,” then why begin with waterfalls that demand of us certain kinds of aesthetic judgment,[1] and end by saying that technocrats who take Nature in their own hands to control others with it have stepped outside of something larger than moral law, viz. the Tao, the Real itself, and thereby lost their very humanity?[2]

What, that is, is Nature in the Abolition? Certainly, it is not nature as construed in philosophical naturalism after Jane Austen, after the advent …

Literary Criticism And Its Drawing From The Humanities. An Academic Study Of Moroccan Criticism As A Model, Miloud Arniba Jan 2026

Literary Criticism And Its Drawing From The Humanities. An Academic Study Of Moroccan Criticism As A Model, Miloud Arniba

SOROUD: The journal of Literacy Criticism

This research seeks to examine the relationship between literary criticism and the humanities, focusing on the relevance, limitations, and implications of this relationship. It does so through two academic studies by Moroccan critics: Hamid Lahmdani's engagement with sociology and Hassan Al-Moudan's with psychology. The aim is to understand how each critic approached this relationship, the extent to which they benefited from the disciplines they drew upon, the conscious nature of their engagement, and the degree to which this approach proved productive and beneficial in the development of literary criticism. Our hypothesis is that the experience of these two critics in …

Scientific Foundations And Their Manifestations In Literary Criticism, Hamid Lahmidani Jan 2026

Scientific Foundations And Their Manifestations In Literary Criticism, Hamid Lahmidani

SOROUD: The journal of Literacy Criticism

The present study seeks to demonstrate the strong relationship between the various sciences and the practice of literary criticism, and to contribute to the shaping and development of critical programs. This occurs in parallel with the treatment of literary texts, the assimilation of their structural nature, and the subsequent uncovering of their allegorical and symbolic connotations. It has therefore been necessary to attend to the ways in which scientific disciplines contribute to the development of the mechanisms of literary criticism. Among these fertile sciences are mathematics, logic, and empirical forms of knowledge, followed by the human sciences such as history, …

Anthropology Confronting The Digital: Complexity, Critical Thinking, And Democratic Stakes In Contemporary Human Sciences, Ibtissame El Hannachi Jan 2026

Anthropology Confronting The Digital: Complexity, Critical Thinking, And Democratic Stakes In Contemporary Human Sciences, Ibtissame El Hannachi

SOROUD: The journal of Literacy Criticism

In a world shaped by globalization and the digital revolution, anthropology faces unprecedented challenges. It goes beyond merely observing societies, probing deeply into the transformations that redefine what it means to be human, as well as our interactions and identities. Technologies alter our relationships with space, time, the body, and others, while algorithms and data increasingly reduce human behavior to quantifiable patterns. In this context, anthropology provides a critical perspective, preserving the depth of experiences and the richness of contexts, and highlighting the cultural, symbolic, and social dimensions often hidden behind technical innovations. Through its interdisciplinary approach, drawing on history, …

Scientific Research In Geography In Morocco: Origins, Challenges And Perspectives, Anass Benichou, Said Abannay Jan 2026

Scientific Research In Geography In Morocco: Origins, Challenges And Perspectives, Anass Benichou, Said Abannay

SOROUD: The journal of Literacy Criticism

Geographical research in Morocco plays a strategic role in understanding territorial transformations, urban expansion, rural migration, and climate-related challenges. Since the colonial period, the discipline has evolved from descriptive mapping to an applied science integrated within national universities. Moroccan geographers have contributed to sustainable resource management, urban planning, and major development projects, linking scientific knowledge with public policy. Despite these advances, the field faces structural, financial, and methodological constraints, limiting its international visibility and practical impact. The adoption of digital tools such as GIS, remote sensing, and artificial intelligence has enhanced predictive and analytical capacities. Future development depends on methodological …

Results indicate that male-headed households dominated in the study area. A significant increase in maize production was observed, with more women participating. However, women's engagement in crucial agricultural activities was low. IRR indicates that female-headed households produce less compared to male-headed households. Females spent more time …

How Do Women Maintain Access To Land In The Context Of Multiple Land Users In Contemporary Rural Tanzania?, Rose George Mbezi, Rosemarie Mwaipopo Jan 2026

How Do Women Maintain Access To Land In The Context Of Multiple Land Users In Contemporary Rural Tanzania?, Rose George Mbezi, Rosemarie Mwaipopo

Tanzania Journal of Sociology

Rural Tanzania is increasingly experiencing a growing heterogeneity of land users, driven by demographic shifts, socio-economic changes, and policy transformations, all of which influence women's ability to maintain secure access to land. Customary practices such as marriage, inheritance, and communal property access are now being practiced alongside statutory frameworks, including land policies and the transformation of communal land into private property, often influenced by economic investments and land acquisitions. Although legislative frameworks have been established to facilitate land access for both men and women, they remain insufficient, as women continue to face challenges in sustaining access to land amidst the …

Doctoral Dissertations and Projects

This paper will analyze the lack of alignment between Jesus's view of kingdom-centered unity and the pattern of leadership, and how these differences have affected the rule of the church according to biblical history. The paper further examines the problem of divisions driven by leadership in the modern churches, especially those in the Togolese Assemblies of God Church (TAGC). The thesis argues that Jesus's unique teachings on the Kingdom of God can be viewed as both the key organizational principle defining ecclesial leadership and unity and the final leadership paradigm that wrestles with the Old Testament and Pauline models of …
