Resolving The Chirality Paradox Planck-Scale Substrate Unification: Deriving Biomolecular Homochirality Via Viscoelastic Substrate Vorticity And Action Transport, Christopher L. Eckes Jul 2026

Resolving The Chirality Paradox Planck-Scale Substrate Unification: Deriving Biomolecular Homochirality Via Viscoelastic Substrate Vorticity And Action Transport, Christopher L. Eckes

Defensive Publications Series

The Origin of Life contains a profound cosmological paradox: terrestrial biology relies exclusively on left-handed (L-enantiomer) amino acids, whereas pristine carbonaceous chondrites—such as the Hillsborough meteorite—exhibit a symmetric, 50:50 racemic mixture. Standard biochemical models treat this homochirality as an accidental, stochastically amplified event, or rely on abstract multi-dimensional string typologies lacking verifiable, hardware-level physical mechanisms.

This paper resolves the "Chirality Paradox" from first principles using the Dimensionally Extended Holographic Projection (DEHP) model and Topological Substrate Mechanics (TSM). We define spacetime as a physical, continuous, two-dimensional viscoelastic phase fluid substrate (z=0) possessing intrinsic density, viscosity, and non-linear shear thresholds. Three-dimensional molecular …

Krakencreds: A Cybersecurity Framework To Prevent Credential Phishing, Ignacio Vallejo

Defensive Publications Series

Krakencreds are a new cybersecurity framework that aims to make the phishing of credentials implausible for most attackers. A set of "fake credentials" (Krakencreds) can be generated by a conscious victim of such an attack which, when tried by the attacker or their bot, trigger a permanent ban of their device from the site. This disclosure outlines ways to increase their effectiveness, prevent their exploitation, reduce user friction and handle exceptions.

Policy Hardening And Bgp Enhancements For Vortex Attack Mitigation, Nupur Kanoi Dutta, Venkata Lakshmana Murthy Varahabhotla Jul 2026

Policy Hardening And Bgp Enhancements For Vortex Attack Mitigation, Nupur Kanoi Dutta, Venkata Lakshmana Murthy Varahabhotla

Defensive Publications Series

The present publication describes an approach for mitigating processing overhead and malicious route oscillations within BGP routing protocol. The described system enhances dampening mechanisms within a routing information base and a forwarding information base by marking unstable routes as unusable while retaining their entries. Furthermore, the approach utilizes policy hardening to enforce a default local preference value for externally advertised routes, which neutralizes exploitation vectors where attackers manipulate route preferences using routing communities.

Keywords: Border Gateway Protocol, Route Flapping, Network Security, Routing Information Base, Forwarding Information Base, Local Preference.

Unified Metric Confinement: Resolving Mass Hierarchy And Baryon Asymmetry Through Dehp Fluid-Substrate Dynamics, Christopher L. Eckes Jul 2026

Unified Metric Confinement: Resolving Mass Hierarchy And Baryon Asymmetry Through Dehp Fluid-Substrate Dynamics, Christopher L. Eckes

Defensive Publications Series

This paper presents a novel geometric framework, termed Dimensionally Extended Holographic Projection (DEHP), to reconcile the foundational mechanics of high-energy particle physics with the empirical datasets generated by modern hadronic colliders. Rather than treating the spacetime vacuum as an abstract mathematical void populated by independent, fundamental point-particles, DEHP models the universe as a continuous, two-dimensional viscoelastic phase fluid substrate (\(z=0\)) capable of localized, non-linear geometric displacement along a vertical projection axis (\(z>0\)).

Under this Topological Substrate Mechanics (TSM) approach, baryonic matter is reinterpreted not as an isolated material substance, but as a localized standing wave packet—a topological "knot"—formed by …

A Read-Only, Manifest-Validated, Single-Trigger Orchestration Framework For Artificial Intelligence Agents Operating Against Multi-Vendor Production Network Infrastructure, Amit Singh Jul 2026

A Read-Only, Manifest-Validated, Single-Trigger Orchestration Framework For Artificial Intelligence Agents Operating Against Multi-Vendor Production Network Infrastructure, Amit Singh

Defensive Publications Series

Enterprise network operations involve manual checks across numerous management domains, fragmented reporting, and difficulty maintaining unresolved findings across review periods. Existing tools generally address individual domains or workflows rather than coordinating heterogeneous operations under a single operator-driven trigger. The techniques presented herein implement a system that enables an artificial intelligence (AI) agent to execute manifest-defined, read-only application programming interface (API) operations across multi-vendor infrastructure in response to a single human trigger. An externally enforced contract validates permitted tools and prevents state-changing operations. The system further protects credentials, sanitizes publishable outputs, generates an atomic bundle of audience-specific reports, and uses hybrid …

The Criminal Prosecution Of Public Employees: Between The Binding Effect Of Criminal Judgments And The Administration’S Disciplinary Authority A Comparative Analytical Study Under Iraqi And Lebanese Law, Mohammed Aboud Faisal Al-Janabi Jul 2026

The Criminal Prosecution Of Public Employees: Between The Binding Effect Of Criminal Judgments And The Administration’S Disciplinary Authority A Comparative Analytical Study Under Iraqi And Lebanese Law, Mohammed Aboud Faisal Al-Janabi

Imam Ja'afar Al-Sadiq University Journal of Legal Studies

Administrative discipline of public employees is regarded as an autonomous punitive system that is distinct from other sanctioning regimes in terms of its objectives, characteristics, and the authority responsible for its enforcement. Nevertheless, this autonomy does not preclude the existence of a close relationship between administrative disciplinary law and criminal law, nor does it prevent the former from being influenced by the latter in several respects. The same factual conduct that the administration characterizes as a disciplinary offence may simultaneously constitute a criminal offence punishable under the law. Consequently, a public employee may be subject to both disciplinary and criminal …

Examining The Relationship Between Past Involvement In Sexual Violence, Gender, And Rape Myth Acceptance In College Student-Athletes, Sarah Baker Jul 2026

Examining The Relationship Between Past Involvement In Sexual Violence, Gender, And Rape Myth Acceptance In College Student-Athletes, Sarah Baker

Theses and Dissertations

Sexual violence (SV) is a persistent concern on U.S. college campuses, with student-athletes at higher risk for both perpetration and victimization. Rape myth acceptance (RMA) reflects beliefs that excuse or downplay SV, but it is unclear how these beliefs relate to student-athletes’ personal experiences with SV. This study examined RMA based on past SV involvement and gender, with attention to individuals reporting both perpetration and victimization. Participants were 350 NCAA Division III student-athletes who completed measures of SV perpetration and victimization, RMA, and sexism. Analyses evaluated differences in RMA by past involvement in sexual violence and gender while controlling for …

Using C/Μ Test To Investigate The Coding And Noncoding Regions To Identify Selective Pressures In Hiv-1 Virus., Annie Tran Jul 2026

Using C/Μ Test To Investigate The Coding And Noncoding Regions To Identify Selective Pressures In Hiv-1 Virus., Annie Tran

Theses and Dissertations

Human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) is a single-stranded RNA retrovirus whose error-prone reverse transcriptase drives a high mutation rate, enabling adaptive mutations on drug target proteins that confer antiviral resistance and complicate long-term treatment. This study therefore aims to detect such adaptive mutations on HIV-1 drug target proteins using our novel analysis framework (c/µ) on 5,711 genomic sequences, with findings expected to inform timely therapeutic adjustments and guide the development of more robust antiretroviral strategies. In Chapter 1, our novel mathematical framework (c/µ) and the Near Neutral Unbalanced Selection Theory (NNUST), which posits that most mutations experience weak but …

From Compliance To Inclusion Through Collaborative Action Research (Car): Service-Animal Access In Experiential Settings In Higher Education, Allison Christina Gainer Jul 2026

From Compliance To Inclusion Through Collaborative Action Research (Car): Service-Animal Access In Experiential Settings In Higher Education, Allison Christina Gainer

Theses and Dissertations

Experiential learning is essential for degree completion, licensure, and professional preparation, although access to service animals in practical contexts is often ambiguous and inconsistently implemented. This study examined the disconnect between legal access protections and institutional practices in real-time access decisions driven by safety, program integrity, accrediting standards, and decentralized decision-making. The purpose of this qualitative Collaborative Action Research (CAR) study was to examine Rowan University’s understanding, interpretation, and implementation of service animal regulations and procedures and to suggest alternatives for legal and equitable access. The study was based on the social model of disability and used four CAR cycles. …

Double-Scoring: Reliable Extraction Of Strong Lottery Tickets, Bryce Christopherson, Jack Baretz, Darian Colgrove, Salah Dandan Jul 2026

Double-Scoring: Reliable Extraction Of Strong Lottery Tickets, Bryce Christopherson, Jack Baretz, Darian Colgrove, Salah Dandan

Mathematics Faculty Publications

The lottery ticket hypothesis proposes that large random neural networks contain sparse subnetworks that can match the performance of dense models after compara- ble training. A stronger version asserts that sufficiently overparameterized random networks contain subnetworks that are already accurate before any weight training. Existing theory establishes that such strong lottery tickets exist, but reliable ex- traction remains difficult. We revisit edge-popup, a frozen-weight score-training method for extracting strong tickets, and identify layerwise sparsity selection as a central bottleneck. We introduce double-scoring, an augmented score-space parameterization that replaces a layerwise sparsity search with optimization over enlarged score tensors. We prove …

Impact Of High-Fidelity Simulation On Nursing Students’ Attitudes Toward Care Of The Dying, Meredith Joyner Jul 2026

Impact Of High-Fidelity Simulation On Nursing Students’ Attitudes Toward Care Of The Dying, Meredith Joyner

International Nursing Research Congress (INRC)

Background: End-of-life (EOL) care is a vital yet often underemphasized component of nursing education. Limited clinical opportunities to engage with dying patients can leave nursing students unprepared to provide compassionate care. High-fidelity simulation provides an evidence-based, immersive learning environment that allows students to practice communication, decision-making, and emotional responses in a safe setting.

Research Question/Aims: This study aimed to determine whether participation in a high-fidelity simulation focused on EOL care would improve nursing students’ attitudes toward caring for dying patients. It was hypothesized that simulation participation would positively impact student attitudes as measured by a validated instrument.

Methods: A quantitative …

Digital Empowerment For South Asian Immigrants: An Intervention For Metabolic Syndrome (Desi-Mets), Amir U. Islam, Sharon Wexler, Lin Drury, Jeffery A. Stahl

International Nursing Research Congress (INRC)

Background: South Asian immigrants (SAIs) in the US have a disproportionately high prevalence of metabolic syndrome (MetS), leading to increased risks of cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Increased waist circumference and early-onset heart disease further potentiate health disparities, underscoring the need for culturally tailored interventions. Digital health interventions (DHIs) have been recognized for their potential to effectively support lifestyle modifications in minority populations, including SAIs, by providing accessible and culturally tailored health management solutions.

Purpose: The purpose of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of a culturally tailored digital health intervention (CT-mHealth) in reducing MetS among SAIs in Hudson Valley, …

Hypertension Management And Addressing Health Equity, Jenny Uguru Jul 2026

Hypertension Management And Addressing Health Equity, Jenny Uguru

International Nursing Research Congress (INRC)

Purpose: Worldwide, 1.28 billion adults between 30-79 years of age have Hypertension (HTN) (WHO, 2023). HTN is the most common medical diagnosis in the U.S. and individuals with social, economic, and cultural factors have higher prevalence and poor control of their ability to self-manage the disease (Ware, Chidume, & Chou, 2023). HTN has the highest risk for mortality related to cardiovascular disease (Cheng et al., 2022). Care coordination and CHWs provide resources, especially those related to social determinants of health (SDOH), and can improve patient engagement and support improved quality of care (Ibe et al., 2021). SDOH increases the prevalence …

When We Feel Maxed Out: Increasing Human Capacity Across Four Domains, Erica Skarda Ramey Jul 2026

When We Feel Maxed Out: Increasing Human Capacity Across Four Domains, Erica Skarda Ramey

International Nursing Research Congress (INRC)

The experience of being “maxed out” reflects depletion across emotional, cognitive, physical, and relational domains that collectively determine human capacity. Nurses frequently encounter this state in themselves, colleagues, and patients, where exhaustion and stress diminish coping and resilience. Emerging evidence demonstrates that recovery requires more than time or reduced workload; deliberate engagement in evidence-based practices produces measurable improvement across domains.

This paper introduces a multidimensional framework for human capacity and synthesizes recent findings linking mindfulness, cognitive training, physical conditioning, and social connection with improved well-being. The review identifies five common misconceptions that obstruct recovery—beliefs that time alone restores capacity, that …

Unintended Consequences Of Public Procurement: Evidence From The Wic Program, Jose Miguel Abito, Kathleen Hui, Yuval Salant, Kosuke Uetake Jul 2026

Unintended Consequences Of Public Procurement: Evidence From The Wic Program, Jose Miguel Abito, Kathleen Hui, Yuval Salant, Kosuke Uetake

Cowles Foundation Discussion Papers

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides infant formula to low-income households through state-level exclusive supply contracts that cover roughly half of U.S. infants. Although these contracts directly govern purchases by WIC participants, they also affect households that receive no WIC benefits. We study these spillovers using household-level in-store and online transaction data matched to WIC contract changes across states from 2018 to 2025. When a manufacturer becomes the WIC supplier, its market share among non-WIC households rises by roughly 30 percentage points in the regular-size formula segment. The response is concentrated in physical stores, …
