Caldwell Roadside Vortex-Disk Fire Suppression Platform (Rvfd-1.0) A Tandem-Deployed, High-Wind Mobile Perimeter Shield And Kinetic Extinguishing Engine Using A Rotating Hollow-Shaft Gyroid-Balanced Fluid Manifold For Autonomous Roadside Wildfire Defense, Michael Victor Caldwell Mr.
Defensive Publications Series
The Caldwell Roadside Vortex-Disk Fire Suppression Platform (RVFD-1.0) is a public-domain, open-hardware engineering architecture designed to replace hazardous manual roadside fire-hose crews during high-wind, zero-visibility wildfire events. Mounted on a heavy-duty rear flatbed trailer towed by a high-capacity 6,000–10,000-gallon water tanker truck, the system utilizes an elevated, folding 12–16-foot rotating vortex-disk applicator (with optional telescoping mast to 30–50 ft). Fed by a high-pressure independent auxiliary pump via a hollow-shaft central rotary swivel, the disk discharges pre-conditioned water through circumferential vortex injector nozzles, optionally enhanced with electrostatic charging rings and/or compressed air injection to form coherent, wind-resistant vortex rings. Operating in …
Energy Accounting For Pfas Treatment: Endpoint Definition, Concentration Dependence, And The Service-Equivalence Constraint, Ernest N. Sumrall
Energy Accounting For Pfas Treatment: Endpoint Definition, Concentration Dependence, And The Service-Equivalence Constraint, Ernest N. Sumrall
Defensive Publications Series
Energy performance in per- and polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS) treatment is often reported on a volumetric basis, in kilowatt-hours per cubic metre of water processed. Volumetric energy is necessary for hydraulic design and utility sizing, but it is insufficient by itself for cross-study comparison because it does not reference the quantity of contaminant addressed. This paper develops the mass-normalised complement and, more importantly, establishes the conditions under which either metric may be used comparatively.
Three results are presented. First, a taxonomy separating five distinct endpoints — transfer, removal, degradation, defluorination, and mineralisation — that are not interchangeable, and a corresponding pair …
Non-Custodial Ephemeral Compute Architecture For Privacy-Preserving Analysis Of Personal Data, Mary F. Camacho
Non-Custodial Ephemeral Compute Architecture For Privacy-Preserving Analysis Of Personal Data, Mary F. Camacho
Defensive Publications Series
A non-custodial, ephemeral compute architecture enables privacy-preserving analysis of personal data by an operator that, by construction and not by policy, contract, or trust, holds no persistent key material capable of decrypting the data it processes. The architecture lets an application separate two kinds of personal data that are usually conflated. Contact data is the identifying and reach information an application legitimately needs to hold (name, email, account and billing identifiers: who someone is and how to reach them). Confided data is the substantive information a person reveals about themselves: their body, mind, behavior, and life. The architecture processes the …

Technical Disclosure Specification: Spherical Harmonic Field Modulation And Acoustofluidic Propagation Manifolds With Closed-Loop Sub-Wavelength Optical Sensing Feedback (Rev4), Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This disclosure specifies a complete engineering blueprint for a solid-state, contactless microparticle transport, positioning, and tracking system utilizing an integrated asymmetric acoustic radiation pressure matrix and sub-wavelength photonic sensor array. Traditional microfluidic handling architectures rely on intrusive physical channels, mechanical actuators, or unmonitored acoustic standing waves, which restrict material handling dynamics to preset geometric nodes and introduce severe operational boundary friction.
Operating under a completely integrated hardware-software architecture, this system maps three-dimensional spatial translation onto an ambient fluidic medium or localized dense plasma wake. The physical actuation layer consists of a surface-mounted grid of Gallium Nitride (GaN) piezoelectric transducers operating …
Allfromair® Terra² System — Technical Addendum 7 (Revised): Wind-Assisted Aeraulic Drive, Bidirectional Fan Regeneration, Power-Inlet Pressure-Recovery Cowling, Reduced-Component Eco Operation & Goldilocks Site-Selection Framework, Vesa Olavi Lius
Defensive Publications Series
This is a corrected and expanded revision of ALLFROMAIR® TERRA² Technical Addendum 7, superseding the version at tdcommons.org/dpubs_series/9825 (16 April 2026). It corrects the earlier passive-cowling claim and adds bidirectional fan regeneration; a permanent-DOI copy is maintained at Zenodo (concept DOI 10.5281/zenodo.19581339).
Abstract
This Addendum discloses six extensions to the ALLFROMAIR® TERRA² Tri-Generation Platform:
- Wind-Assisted Aeraulic Drive — ambient wind as a partial or complete substitute for fan work through the Anticubic U-Channel, by direct superposition of free-stream dynamic pressure on the system pressure balance.
- Power-Inlet Pressure-Recovery Cowling — a convergent sail-fabric inlet whose function is full recovery of free-stream …

Technical Disclosure Specification: Module 6 Spherical Harmonic Instruction Set Compilers And Non-Linear Vector Transformation Languages For Distributed Ternary Fluid-Canvas Operating Networks, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
Traditional quantum and classical software compilation tracks remain tethered to linear, flat bit-mapping schemes that force computational logic arrays into rigid binary or standard qubit gating configurations. These legacy compilation chains introduce severe processing bottlenecks when applied to a non-equilibrium, multi-dimensional fluid computing canvas. This disclosure specifies a novel, standalone Spherical Harmonic Instruction Set Compiler designed to interface directly with the physical 3D runtime environment of self-assembled Hexagonal Close-Packed (HCP) inverse opal computing nodes.
Instead of compiling software instructions into linear, sequential machine code, this architecture utilizes 3D global illumination rendering algorithms—adapted from real-time graphics processing units (GPUs)—to translate abstract …
Technical Disclosure Specification: Module 5 Integrated Multi-Layer Sub-Wavelength Photonic Crossbar Arrays And Interfacial Refractive Index Transformers For Non-Invasive Optical State Detection In Non-Equilibrium Quantum Matrices, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
Traditional quantum state readouts introduce an intrusive physical measurement vector—such as direct electrical contact or unshielded magnetic flux—that acts as an unintended observer, instantly collapsing the fluid computational canvas before data extraction is completed. This disclosure specifies a standalone Integrated Multi-Layer Photonic Crossbar Array designed to execute non-invasive, simultaneous optical state tracking across distributed computing blocks. The hardware consists of high-index silicon nitride (Si₃N₄) waveguides embedded directly within the solid fused silica (SiO₂) inverse opal structural skeleton.
Rather than physically breaking into the 5.0 μm hollow spheres, the photonic network uses sub-wavelength evanescent field coupling to probe the active Interfacial …
Heat-Driven Desiccant Comfort And Water Platform For Humid Climates (Land And Marine): Cacl2 Liquid-Desiccant And Aluminum-Fumarate Mof Coated-Exchanger Tracks, Ramon H. Pla
Defensive Publications Series
OVERVIEW
A complete, internally consistent paper design — nothing has been built — for a heat-driven desiccant comfort and drinking-water platform for humid-tropical climates, deployable on land and on marine platforms. Input is solar thermal or waste heat at 60–93 °C; outputs are dry cool air, safe indoor air quality (<1,000 ppm CO2 in sealed operation), hot water, and potable water, for occupied volumes of roughly 100 m3 (yacht interiors, small dwellings, cabins, shelters).
The sole governing design point is DP-A: 32 °C / 80% RH (humidity ratio 24.2 g/kg, dew point 28.1 °C) with a raw-water sink near 29 °C. At this condition every ambient heat sink sits at or above the dew point, so sink-cooled condensation harvests essentially no water and …

Technical Disclosure Specificationmodule 4 Monolithic Interdigital Transducer (Idt) Array Casing And Radio-Frequency Electro-Acoustic Coupling Interfaces For Master Multiblock Quantum Topologies, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This disclosure specifies the physical hardware housing, radio-frequency (RF) impedance-matching circuitry, and sub-micron metalized finger geometries required to interface classical control electronics with the non-equilibrium solitonic fluid computing core. To drive the foundational dual-loop acoustic architecture—comprising the 210.75 MHz continuous harmonic processing carrier wave (Loop 1) and the 600 MHz / 1.2 GHz sub-harmonic structural phase-cancellation torque vector array (Loop 2)—a high-precision electro-acoustic transduction layer must be bonded directly to the anisotropic coupling faces of the fused silica (SiO₂) matrix.
This module resolves the critical hardware interface crisis: injecting extreme high-frequency radio waves and converting them into surface acoustic wave …

Master System Architecture For Room-Temperature Ternary Quantum Computers - Monolithic Structural Integration Of Solitonic Cores, Inter-Node Entanglement Bridges, And Modular Control Interfaces, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
Traditional quantum hardware development remains fragmented by isolated design cycles, where core qubits, routing networks, driver electronics, and control software are engineered in separate silos. This systemic fragmentation introduces massive integration friction, leading to severe signal mismatches, thermal leaks, and immediate wave collapse when components are wired together. This disclosure specifies a comprehensive, multi-layered Master System Architecture that unifies the complete hardware, software, sensing, and manufacturing layers of a non-equilibrium, room-temperature ternary quantum computer into a single monolithic framework.
This master framework integrates and anchors six distinct operational layers: the core qubit blocks (MS #12489), the fluidic inter-node entanglement ribbons …

Current paradigms in quantum computing remain heavily bottlenecked by environmental decoherence, brute-force cryogenic scaling constraints, and the mechanical fragility of localized qubits. This paper introduces an alternative top-down, wave-first hardware architecture that shifts the operational paradigm from brute-force isolation to dynamic phase boundary transport. By utilizing a solid-state, self-assembled Hexagonal Close-Packed (HCP) 3D inverse opal matrix constructed from fused silica (SiO₂), we establish an omnidirectional phononic bandgap that isolates volatile computational wave-fields from external ambient noise.
The internal hollow spherical cavities of this matrix are lined via Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) with an Interfacial Phase-Change Memory (iPCM) superlattice structure composed …
Bounded-Blast-Radius Operation Of An Untrusted (Byte-Authentic, Behaviourally-Tainted) Language Model At A Security Gateway, By Composing An Egress- Contained Model Runtime, Output-Path Data-Loss Inspection, Least-Privilege Per-Model Capability Identity, A Quarantine-To-Promote Onboarding Gate, Digest-Bound Inference Provenance, And Fleet- Wide Digest Revocation, Tiago Rosado
Defensive Publications Series
This document discloses an architecture, at a security gateway that mediates a language model’s use inside an organisation, for operating a model that must be assumed untrusted — because the dominant model supply-chain threat is behavioural, not byte-level. A poisoned or backdoored model (weight-level backdoor, trigger-phrase exfiltration, memorised-secret leakage, injection-amplification, steganographic encoding) is byte-authentic: its content hash and any signature over its weights verify perfectly, because the taint lives in learned behaviour, not in the bytes.
Detecting such behavioural backdoors from weights is an open research problem this disclosure does not claim to solve. Instead the disclosed principle …

Reference Pattern Mapping For Metrology Of Augmented Reality And Virtual Reality Devices, Zhenxing Hu, Qianli Ma, Ali Karbasi, Wenchun Hu, Jun Yang
Defensive Publications Series
This publication describes a method for improving the reliability of metrology for characterizing an optical system in augmented reality and virtual reality devices. The method uses pattern mapping based on a reference pattern to detect regions of interest. This pattern mapping approach eliminates the need for repetitive, parameter-sensitive image preprocessing to locate an ROI in an image and enables highly consistent optical metrology across different testers and devices (e.g., displays).

A system, such as a head-mounted device, may include an eye tracking subsystem configured to determine a user's cornea position by analyzing specular reflections (i.e., glints) from light sources of the system, which are directed at the user’s eye and captured by a camera of the system. This disclosure describes a software-based method to configure the system to accurately match bright specular reflections in an image to the specific light sources that created them. To achieve this, the algorithm calculates candidate cornea center locations based on the image reflections and determines the most probable center from these accumulated candidates. This …

Premature battery depletion is caused in a head-worn computing device by the persistent capture of visual data for spatial navigation in low-visibility environments. To mitigate energy consumption, motion data is collected by a wrist-worn peripheral using dead reckoning to estimate positional changes. Image capture functions on the head-worn computing device are held in a suspended state during standard locomotion. Individual frames are captured at a frequency of one frame per second upon calculation of a proximity threshold to a potential hazard. The single frames are transferred over a localized wireless connection to a central mobile unit for hazard identification. Short …
Dynamic Switching Between Low-Resolution Color And High-Resolution Grayscale Images Based On Text Content Queries, Lijun Li
Defensive Publications Series
Text character recognition within visual streams from head-mounted displays is impacted by data transmission constraints and low electrical capacities. Visual data is captured at a default baseline rate (e.g., of one frame per second) to manage data traffic. An image pyramid structure comprising a full-resolution monochrome representation and downscaled color representations is maintained within an image signal processing pipeline. Cooperative processing logic on a paired device determines when context demands greater detail, triggering a transition to the fullresolution monochrome layer. Data transmission volume and power usage are reduced while character recognition processing is sustained.

River fragmentation poses major threats to freshwater biodiversity by reducing connectivity and limiting persistence of imperiled desert fishes. Connectivity in streams is impaired by anthropogenic changes, including road crossings, prompting the installation of engineered fish passage structures at low-water road crossings and raising questions about the dispersal of aquatic species across these structures. This thesis investigates the movement of the threatened Loach Minnow (Tiaroga cobitis) by applying a close-kin mark-recapture (CKMR) framework in a restored stream (including a fish passage) and a stream without rehabilitation efforts. We developed and optimized a GT-seq panel for relatedness analysis and used it to …
Using Temporal Genomic Data To Uncover Patterns Of Genetic Diversity And Signatures Of Selection For Management Of A Threatened Minnow Species, Erika A. Dunn
Biology ETDs
The Little Colorado River (LCR) spinedace persists only in three isolated watersheds within the LCR Basin in Arizona. This imperiled minnow faces ongoing pressure from habitat alteration, climatic shifts, and invasive non-native predators. Over the past two decades, managers have translocated spinedace within watersheds to increase abundance and expand habitat occupancy. We sequenced a reference genome and analyzed single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) from 475 individuals over their geographic range. DNA samples were obtained from a previous study in the mid-1990s and compared with samples from 2024 and 2025, allowing us to track genetic diversity, effective population size, population structure, and …

Body size is a fundamental predictor of ecological function, life history, and population dynamics in mammals. However, direct measurements of body mass remain unavailable for many rare or extinct species, particularly within the order Carnivora. Allometric relationships between skeletal dimensions and body mass provide a tractable solution; however, previous studies have been limited in their taxonomic scope or trait diversity. Here, we quantify the scaling of 82 cranial and postcranial traits across 97 species from 11 carnivoran families spanning four orders of magnitude in body mass (20g to >500kg). Additionally, we examine the influence of phylogenetic relatedness, dietary specialization, and …

Nerve Constructions And Mapper, Alexander Bram Fritschi
Mathematics & Statistics ETDs
Mapper is a data visualization tool commonly used in topological data analysis to study large, often high-dimensional datasets. Mapper operates through the selection of a lens function, a clustering algorithm, and a cover. The Mapper graph is constructed using the nerve of the cover after the clustering algorithm is performed; it is therefore useful to study nerves to better understand Mapper. In this thesis, we will utilize the properties of nerves to find the minimal point set that produces a given graph. We will then extend this to Mapper to determine what Mapper graphs may be constructed over a given …
