Nurses' Familiarity With Emergency Preparedness In Four Private Hospitals In Western Indonesia, Marisa Junianti Manik, Ade Lisatria Telaumbanua, Ribka Meinar Harja Gea, Trisno Berkat Damai Telaumbanua

General Submissions: Clinical Settings Materials

Nurses play a vital role in disaster management by helping to reduce the long-term health effects of disasters. Preparedness involves a series of activities to anticipate and lessen losses. Studies from 2014 to 2019 showed that 45.8% to 78.5% of hospital nurses in various Asian countries had less than ideal preparedness for disasters and lacked awareness. The study aimed to describe nurses’ familiarity with emergency preparedness in four private hospitals in western Indonesia in April 2021. It used a quantitative descriptive approach with the translated Emergency Preparedness Information Questionnaire, comprising eight indicators. The sample included nurses from four private hospitals …

The Path Toward Spiritual Activism: Queer Latinx/A/O College Student (Muxerista) Activism As Sites Of Resistance, Hope, Joy, And Futurity, Roberto C. Orozco, J. Audra Williams Oct 2025

The Path Toward Spiritual Activism: Queer Latinx/A/O College Student (Muxerista) Activism As Sites Of Resistance, Hope, Joy, And Futurity, Roberto C. Orozco, J. Audra Williams

Journal of Queer and Trans Studies in Education

This study examined collaborators’ engagement in activism as sites of resistance, hope, joy, and futurity. We answer the following research question: In what ways do Muxeristas (Revilla, 2012), or queer Latinx/a/o college student activists, envision and act on kinship and liberation in their activism? We conceptualize our response to this question through Anzaldúa’s (2002, 2015) concept of spiritual activism. Our data analysis articulates three main components of a spiritual activism practice for Muxeristas (Revilla, 2012), which include: 1) engaging in forms of resistance through a queer and feminist world-making, 2) centering joy and love with and for each other as …

Spiritual Grounding In Sacred Soil: The Picuris/Peñasco Valley As A Model For Catholic Unity Across Cultures, Gabriel Antonio Gonzales Oct 2025

Spiritual Grounding In Sacred Soil: The Picuris/Peñasco Valley As A Model For Catholic Unity Across Cultures, Gabriel Antonio Gonzales

Master of Theological Studies Honors Theses

This thesis examines the Picuris/Peñasco Valley of Northern New Mexico as a unique case study for understanding Catholic unity amidst cultural plurality and historical tension. The study investigates how the confluence of Picuris Pueblo (Tiwa) Indigenous spirituality and Hispano/Spanish Colonial Catholic traditions has forged a profoundly localized and resilient faith community. Drawing upon historical analysis of colonial resistance, cultural anthropology, and theological reflection, this work argues that the concept of sacred land (sacred soil) functions as the central unifying principle. It reveals how the shared commitment to the land facilitated a process of religious and cultural syncretism, creating a form …

2 Of 4: Impact Of Human Resource Factors On Ai Investment: Ai In The Human Resource Market, Siyuan Ma, Mengyu Wang, Tianyi Zhang

Sim Kee Boon Institute for Financial Economics

This case will explore the implications that AIGC trends have on the development of the Chinese Human Resource (HR) market. While previous generation internet products were based on common needs and provided standardized products, the development of large AI models has opened doors to personalized custom products and services. Take AI applications in online education as an example: AI education models are developing to tailor to individual needs, since almost everything is not only digitalised but also based on dynamic database analysis for each user, including traffic distribution, sales conversion and service evaluation.

1 Of 4: Aigc Technology And Applications: Policy And Industry Development, Siyuan Ma, Mengyu Wang, Tianyi Zhang

Sim Kee Boon Institute for Financial Economics

This case explores the investment opportunities of AIGC by combining the core technological value and industrial application status of generative AI. We then analyse the impacts of these large-scale sectoral changes in a study of AI in China’s energy industry. We are currently in the early stage of the generative AI industry, thus it is analysed more from the perspective of early value investment, including trend investment opportunities brought by macro cycles, inflection point investment opportunities brought by industry transformation and application, and value creation brought by disruptive innovation. The early investment in the Chinese market is also at a …

Addressing The Impact Of Foreign State-Owned Companies: Implications For Fair And Effective Merger Control, Annika Stöhr, Oliver Budzinski Oct 2025

Addressing The Impact Of Foreign State-Owned Companies: Implications For Fair And Effective Merger Control, Annika Stöhr, Oliver Budzinski

Yearbook of Antitrust and Regulatory Studies

State-owned firms from third countries play an increasingly significant role in international mergers and acquisitions, raising concerns about distortions of competition. These distortions arise from state-backed financial advantages, preferential treatment, and industrial policy objectives, potentially undermining market competition. This paper categorises different forms of competitive distortions, focusing on acquisitions financed by foreign state resources. Through an analysis of German and EU merger control cases (2012-2023), we assess the extent of this phenomenon and the treatment of such transactions by the respective competition authorities. While direct state involvement remains rare, it is prevalent in strategic industries such as energy and transport. …

Towards The Four-Hour Rule: Impact Of Observation Units And Emergency Medicine Specialists In An Indonesian Tertiary Hospital, Septo Sulistio, Ascobat Gani

Jurnal ARSI : Administrasi Rumah Sakit Indonesia

Emergency Department (ED) overcrowding is a global challenge. In response, the government of Indonesia mandates an ED Length of Stay (LOS) of ≤4 hours. This study aims to evaluate the impact of implementing an Emergency Department Observation Unit (EDOU) combined with an Emergency Medicine (EM) specialist-led disposition process on ED LOS at a national referral hospital in Indonesia. This was a retrospective, pre-post analysis comparing all ED visits in 2023 (pre-intervention, n = 26,282) with all visits in 2024 (post-intervention, n = 31,483). The primary outcome was the proportion of patients with an ED LOS ≤4 hours. Secondary outcomes included …

Jurnal ARSI : Administrasi Rumah Sakit Indonesia

Completeness of medical records is one of the important factors in improving the quality of health services. Despite its importance, incomplete documentation remains a prevalent issue, and the adoption of Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) is anticipated to address this challenge. This study is a narrative review and utilized the PRISMA 2020 flow diagram for literature selection. Articles were sourced from the ProQuest and Scopus databases for articles published in 2019-2024. From an initial selection of 431 articles, eight articles met the inclusion criteria for this study. The analysis of these studies shows that the implementation of electronic medical records positively …

Regional Lending Market Structures And Cross-Class Social Capital’S Impact On Small Business Outcomes In The United States, Karl Guenther Oct 2025

Regional Lending Market Structures And Cross-Class Social Capital’S Impact On Small Business Outcomes In The United States, Karl Guenther

Dissertations

This study examines whether regional lending market structures—specifically, the availability of capital from local credit unions—affects the success of small businesses in U.S. metropolitan areas. It investigates whether greater local credit union market share of lending capacity improves small business outcomes and whether this relationship is moderated by levels of economic connectedness, a form of cross-class social capital. The analysis further explores whether these moderating effects are especially pronounced for Black-owned small businesses. The study focuses on business outcomes in regions in 2021. Regression models are estimated using cross-sectional data from across 135, 301, and 375 metropolitan statistical areas based …
