Leaf Certificate Validation For High-Volume Services Using An Encrypted Device Mapping Token Carried In The Certificate Issuer Name, Aditya Sanjay Belsare, Vikram Gaur
Leaf Certificate Validation For High-Volume Services Using An Encrypted Device Mapping Token Carried In The Certificate Issuer Name, Aditya Sanjay Belsare, Vikram Gaur
Defensive Publications Series
A relying party that authenticates devices in the field ordinarily receives a full certificate chain and verifies a signature at each link up to a trusted root certificate. Alternatively, individual certificate records from the chain may be preserved by the issuer, which may be queried by a relying party on each request. The first approach consumes bandwidth and processor time, and the second adds latency and storage. To address these deficiencies, this disclosure describes a certificate validation system that carries an encrypted token in the subject name of an intermediate certificate issued to a device. A leaf certificate generated on …
Fingerprint Enrollment Guidance Using Stitched-Island Outline Feedback And Dynamic Touch-Count Reduction For Narrow-Aspect Sensors, Justin Eltoft, Eddie Lan
Fingerprint Enrollment Guidance Using Stitched-Island Outline Feedback And Dynamic Touch-Count Reduction For Narrow-Aspect Sensors, Justin Eltoft, Eddie Lan
Defensive Publications Series
A fingerprint sensor with a narrow sensing area, for example a side-mounted sensor on a mobile device, images only a small slice of a finger with each touch, so an enrollment process stitches a series of touches into a composite template. A user who repeatedly touches the sensor with the same part of the finger fills one region of the template while leaving other regions uncovered, which can cause authentication failures after enrollment. This document describes an enrollment guidance method that receives per-touch stitching metadata from a fingerprint matcher and presents each contiguous stitched region on a display as an …
Measuring The Lens Distortion Of A Fixed Tracking Camera From Operator-Traced Straight Lines, With Edge Snapping, An Uncertainty-Based Coverage Rating And Grid-Side Correction, Michel Honold, Paul Hermann
Measuring The Lens Distortion Of A Fixed Tracking Camera From Operator-Traced Straight Lines, With Edge Snapping, An Uncertainty-Based Coverage Rating And Grid-Side Correction, Michel Honold, Paul Hermann
Defensive Publications Series
A method measures the lens distortion of a camera that maps image positions onto a surface, such as a fixed camera tracking performers on a stage, without a calibration target. The operator indicates a feature that is straight in reality, for example a stage edge, tape, truss or LED-wall edge, by clicking its two ends. The software places sample points between the clicks and snaps each one across the line onto the strongest image edge, using one edge polarity for the whole line so that both edges of a strip of tape are never mixed. The operator can correct individual …

Brand Identity As Architecture: The B-Heart Logo, B-Prefix Naming, Heartbeat Animation As Display Of A Proof-Of-Humanity Attestation, And Aura-Color Two-Ledger State Primitive — Rotated-Heart Bistable Logo, Single-Letter Product Prefix, Logo Animation Bound To Proof-Of-Personhood Attestation, And Avatar Ring Color From Balance Zero-Crossing Frequency, Thon Ly
Defensive Publications Series
This paper discloses a brand-identity system in which each element of a logo does functional work beyond recognition. (I) A logo made by rotating an unmodified heart silhouette 45° clockwise, so that it reads at once as a heart and as the capital letter B — a reading that survives at favicon size because it depends on no internal whitespace. (II) A product-naming convention in which every product takes a one-letter prefix that is the logo's own letter reading, so the prefix cannot come apart from the mark. (III) A logo animation with a cardiac morphology — two pulses, the …
Transparency As Enforcement: Anti-Abuse Without Legal Contract Machinery — Community Disclosure In Place Of Terms-Of-Service Enforcement, Limited To Incurred Obligations, Thon Ly
Defensive Publications Series
This paper discloses a design pattern for abuse prevention in online platforms and shared-fund applications that replaces terms-of-service enforcement, dispute resolution and account termination with disclosure: the conduct to be policed is made visible to the bounded community it affects, and that community's own response is the sanction. Three properties make disclosure work as enforcement: the visibility itself is the mechanism, the response is proportioned by the community rather than by a binary rule, and participants join knowing what will be visible. Two deployments are specified: disclosure to a family of every reward its steward receives from the family's shared …
Ambient-Based Audio Adjustment Using Remote Control Sensors And Acoustic Response Modulation Using Audio Input Analysis, Nikita Agarwal
Ambient-Based Audio Adjustment Using Remote Control Sensors And Acoustic Response Modulation Using Audio Input Analysis, Nikita Agarwal
Defensive Publications Series
Systems and methods adjust audio presentation based on acoustic conditions detected near a user or characteristics of a voice command. A remote-control microphone can distinguish environmental sound from television audio and provide a control signal that causes temporary changes to volume, dialogue enhancement, or subtitle presentation. A voice-controlled device can analyze spectral characteristics of a command, classify a speaking condition such as whispering, and, in response to detecting whispering, switch an audio-response voice model or speech synthesizer to a whisper-specific profile that produces a breathy and softer voice, rather than merely reducing output volume. The selected voice model or synthesizer …
Dependency-Aware Speculative Proxy Cache For Multi-Turn Llm Agentic Workflows, Rajkumar Baskaran, Ishani Basu, Sudhindra Desai
Dependency-Aware Speculative Proxy Cache For Multi-Turn Llm Agentic Workflows, Rajkumar Baskaran, Ishani Basu, Sudhindra Desai
Defensive Publications Series
Systems and methods are described for caching and processing requests associated with a multi-turn agentic workflow. A proxy between a client and a large language model (LLM) API receives a request associated with a turn of the multi-turn agentic workflow and determines a cache key based on input information associated with the turn and an index of the turn. The proxy determines whether a cache entry corresponding to the cache key is valid based on a dependency of the cache entry on one or more external resources and, when valid, provides a cached response to the client. The proxy further …
Fractal Three-Level Architecture For Reciprocity Economies: Self-Similar Family-And-Global Layering With A Single Mental Model — A Shared Three-Level Account Hierarchy (Pooled Fund, Give-Forward Account, Individual Account) For Family And Peer-To-Peer Payments, Thon Ly
Defensive Publications Series
This paper discloses an account architecture for a reciprocity platform — software through which people give one another money as thanks — designed to operate at two scales, within families and between strangers peer to peer, with one three-level account hierarchy at both, so that a participant who has learned the family-scale system recognizes the planetary-scale one. The three node types are a pooled fund that aggregates contributions and disburses them under published rules; a give-forward account, whose balance can only be passed on to other people; and an individual's own account. Four transfer conventions apply identically at each scale: …
Constraint-Preserving Ai Generation Of Network Test Procedures, Bharath Raj C, Mukund Anandan, Gourav Gourav
Constraint-Preserving Ai Generation Of Network Test Procedures, Bharath Raj C, Mukund Anandan, Gourav Gourav
Defensive Publications Series
A technique is proposed herein for converting artificial intelligence (AI)-generated network testcase intents and parameter combinations into detailed procedure structures through two independent reuse decisions. Technical-artifact applicability controls whether evidence may be shared, while execution compatibility controls whether an ordered procedure can be shared. A machine-readable row contract preserves testcase constraints for both decisions. One template is generated per compatible procedure family and is bound deterministically to row-specific values and a selected combination, retaining evidence authority, unresolved exact artifacts, and validation lineage. In a matched-input comparison of complete workflows, a working implementation reduced completed AI-agent turns, total tokens and input …

System And Methods For Load And Service Level Agreement Aware Plan Selection, Pivoting, And Auditing Before Workflow Expansion, Sushmitha Vatsal, Ashwini S Kulkarni, Ghulam Ghaus Arshi, Priyanka Bansal, Vivek Kumar Singh
Defensive Publications Series
A load-aware planning system is proposed herein for agentic artificial intelligence (AI) workflows that may amplify a single request into many subtasks, model calls, tool invocations, and agent-to-agent interactions. The system uses a Load-State Registry to obtain a unified view of current load, a Load-Aware Planner to select among Detailed, Balanced, Lightweight, Partial, Deferred, or Fallback plans, Plan Pivoting to adapt a plan when conditions change, and a Plan Decision Store to record the reasoning and audit trail. By selecting how much work to create before execution and adapting the plan during execution, the system addresses concurrent-load conditions that can …
News Publishers And Platforms: Mandated Payment And Its Limits, Abhiram Nitin
News Publishers And Platforms: Mandated Payment And Its Limits, Abhiram Nitin
Indian Journal of Law and Technology
Falling advertising revenues of news media in the digital age have precipitated regulations that require payments by ‘Big Tech’ companies to news publishers for content. This paper reviews three approaches – the press publishers’ right in the European Union (‘EU’), Big Tech Regulation in Australia and Canada and the competition-enforcement proceedings in India. The experiences in the EU, Australia, and Canada reveal an incentive-incompatibility in mandating payments for news, owing to the asymmetric structural dependence of publishers on platforms – publishers cannot afford to lose platform traffic while platforms can drop news at little cost. Competition law, while subject to …

Individual Articles
Breastfeeding initiation has been found to be lower in pregnant persons with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). However, no studies have explored the potential impact of T2DM during pregnancy on breastfeeding plans among Thai pregnant persons. This study aimed to describe breastfeeding confidence and intention during pregnancy among Thai pregnant persons with T2DM. This qualitative analysis utilized data from a parent study with a convergent parallel mixed-methods design. This study was guided by the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) Framework. Eligible participants were pregnant persons diagnosed with T2DM, aged 20–44 years, and proficient in speaking Thai. …

Extending your growing season is a great way to produce more food earlier in spring, later in fall, or even during winter. One of the best ways to do this is to use indoor gardening and greenhouse systems, which let you grow plants beyond what is possible outdoors or alongside outdoor growing. This guide focuses on soil-based indoor gardening.
The Impact Of Urban Morphology On Spatial Configuration And Socio-Spatial Structure: A Comparative Space Syntax Analysis, Tazra Kamaran Ismael, Abdulrazaq Zamil Menshid Al-Saedi
The Impact Of Urban Morphology On Spatial Configuration And Socio-Spatial Structure: A Comparative Space Syntax Analysis, Tazra Kamaran Ismael, Abdulrazaq Zamil Menshid Al-Saedi
Journal of Environmental Science and Sustainable Development
Urban morphology plays a crucial role in shaping the spatial configuration, movement patterns, and socio-spatial interactions within cities. However, despite the extensive development of Space Syntax research, limited research has comparatively examined how contrasting urban morphologies influence spatial hierarchy, accessibility, and intelligibility within the same urban context, particularly in the rapidly transforming cities of the Global South. This study investigates the configurational characteristics of two contrasting urban sectors in Koya City, Iraq: the organically developed historic city centre and the planned grid-based Zanko neighbourhood. A Space Syntax analysis was conducted using axial maps generated in DepthmapX. The analysis was supported …

Marine Spatial Planning In The Asean Countries: Lesson Learned For Future Ocean Governance In Malaysia, Husni Alhan Md Salimun, Mohd Fadzil Akhir, Nazli Aziz, Che Din Mohd Safuan, Wan Izatul Asma Wan Talaat
Journal of Environmental Science and Sustainable Development
Marine Spatial Planning (MSP) has emerged as an important governance instrument for balancing ecological protection, economic development, and social inclusion amid the rapidly intensifying blue economy in Southeast Asia. Although several ASEAN Member States (AMS) have initiated MSP processes, the existing literature on MSP governance in this region remains fragmented and largely descriptive, limiting systematic cross-country comparison and evidence-based lessons. This study addresses this gap by assessing MSP governance performance across ASEAN countries and againts internationally recognized MSP governance benchmarks. A structured narrative review was conducted using selected PRISMA-informed procedures for literature identification and screening. Academic publications from 2003 to …
