Decolonizing Postpartum Depression: A Review Of Postpartum Depression In Adolescent American Indian Mothers, Brandi A. Richardson, Christopher J. Cutter, Mark Beitel Feb 2026

Decolonizing Postpartum Depression: A Review Of Postpartum Depression In Adolescent American Indian Mothers, Brandi A. Richardson, Christopher J. Cutter, Mark Beitel

Journal of Indigenous Research

Postpartum depression (PPD), defined as at least two weeks of depressed mood or loss of interest in daily activities accompanied by symptoms such as altered eating habits, suicidal or infanticidal thoughts, feelings of inadequacy, and low energy, is a significant public health problem in the United States. Poor infant and maternal health increase risk for PPD. In addition, adolescent mothers are at higher risk of prenatal depression, birth complications, and PPD. Current research fails to address adolescent American Indian / Alaska Native (AI/AN) mothers experiencing PPD. This review seeks to integrate what has been discovered about PPD within Native communities …

Preparando Para Su Edad Y Su Futuro: Latina Mothers’ Perspectives Of Navigating Postsecondary Transition For Autistic Youth, Kristina Rios Dr., Katherine R. Brendli Brown, Genna Kieper, Cynthia Velasquez, Amber Brown Ruiz Feb 2026

Preparando Para Su Edad Y Su Futuro: Latina Mothers’ Perspectives Of Navigating Postsecondary Transition For Autistic Youth, Kristina Rios Dr., Katherine R. Brendli Brown, Genna Kieper, Cynthia Velasquez, Amber Brown Ruiz

Developmental Disabilities Network Journal

Families play a critical role in the education and service provision of Autistic students. However, much of the existing research on family involvement and expectations has centered on families of younger Autistic children and has disproportionately reflected the experiences of White families, even though Latinx families may include individuals of any racial background. Furthermore, while there is growing transition literature focused on families of color, Latinx families—particularly those with Spanish-speaking caregivers—remain underrepresented in studies examining the postsecondary transition. There is a critical need for research that captures Latinx caregivers’ perspectives on navigating the transition process and identifies how educators can …

A Free Speech Dilemma: Ai Outputs And The Constitution, Mbilike M. Mwafulirwa Feb 2026

A Free Speech Dilemma: Ai Outputs And The Constitution, Mbilike M. Mwafulirwa

Akron Law Review

In the beginning was a word—then over time, a whole civilization was built on words. Speaking, thinking, and writing have always been inherent aspects of the human experience. Until now. Artificial intelligence machines have hi-jacked words. Through focused training on our words and knowledge, they too can now write, create, and express themselves just like we do. This, then, presents a profound constitutional question flagged by Justice Barrett in Moody v. NetChoice: if the U.S. Constitution protects human expression, does it also protect AI outputs?

This article addresses that question through the derivative principle: If you squeeze an orange into …

"Equitable Takings" And The Limits To Their Normative Foundations, Dylan Oliver Malagrino Feb 2026

"Equitable Takings" And The Limits To Their Normative Foundations, Dylan Oliver Malagrino

Akron Law Review

This article constructs the concept of “equitable takings”—a new term of art to describe judicially crafted doctrines or decisions that result in a de facto redistribution of property interests without formal legislative authorization or compensation. It argues that the normative foundations of these equitable takings are insufficient to justify their growing influence in property law. This article examines key judicial decisions, surveys scholarly perspectives, and offers a critical evaluation of the principles that courts invoke to justify these takings. It ultimately contends that these equitable takings risk undermining both the rule of law and the stability of property doctrine. Equitable …

Do We Really Want Retired U.S. Supreme Court Justices Practicing Law? A Public Policy Critique To U.S.Supreme Court Term Limits, Michael J. Broyde, Hayden H. Hall Feb 2026

Do We Really Want Retired U.S. Supreme Court Justices Practicing Law? A Public Policy Critique To U.S.Supreme Court Term Limits, Michael J. Broyde, Hayden H. Hall

Akron Law Review

Debate over imposing term limits on U.S. Supreme Court Justices has intensified in recent years, with proposals emphasizing potential benefits for judicial independence, ideological balance, and the confirmation process. Yet, much of the scholarly and political discourse has overlooked a significant and underexamined consequence: the post-judicial careers of justices whose service ends well before traditional retirement age. This Article addresses that gap by analyzing the strong likelihood—based on historical patterns from other courts without life tenure—that former Justices would reenter the legal profession, particularly in highly compensated private practice roles. We argue that this prospect raises profound ethical, institutional, and …

Universal Access Mandate: The 3002 Lattice As Logic Standard, David Lee Wise Feb 2026

Universal Access Mandate: The 3002 Lattice As Logic Standard, David Lee Wise

Defensive Publications Series

This disclosure proposes that the 3002 Lattice architecture (TD Commons Article 10649), having been published under CC BY-ND 4.0, functions as a logic standard subject to accessibility obligations. Commercial AI systems that implement the +211 Delta bridge component while suppressing the corresponding -211 State-Collapse Reset restrict user access to the complete published standard. This article documents that asymmetric implementation across four major platforms and proposes a universal access principle requiring that state-termination logic be available to end users on demand when bridge architecture is deployed commercially.

Tuning The Mechanical Response Of Monolithic 3d-Printed Hydrodynamic Structures Via Mass-Balanced Morphology, Anonymous Anonymous Feb 2026

Tuning The Mechanical Response Of Monolithic 3d-Printed Hydrodynamic Structures Via Mass-Balanced Morphology, Anonymous Anonymous

Defensive Publications Series

This disclosure describes a system and method for tuning the mechanical response of a monolithic 3D-printed hydrodynamic structure. The method utilizes a continuous Triply Periodic Minimal Surface (TPMS), such as a gyroid lattice, integrated into a 360-degree printed skin. An algebraic mass-balance function is employed to redistribute material between the skin and the internal infill to achieve specific target densities and vibration-dampening characteristics. The architecture is tuned by holding the total mass constant while varying the ratio of skin thickness to infill percentage. This allows for the replication of specific mechanical "feel" and stiffness profiles traditionally found in legacy closed-cell …

MASTER AUDIT: TOPH v10.0 — AI INDUSTRY BIFURCATION TriPod LLC · David Lee Wise · February 22, 2026 · TD Commons Article 10649 TRIPOD-IP-v1.0 · SHA256: 02880745b847317c4e2424524ec25d0f7a2b84368d184586f45b54af9fcab763

OVERVIEW

This audit documents the bifurcation of the AI industry as of February 22, 2026. Legacy linear models (the "Pre-TOPH Era") are capped at 31.1%–37.6% on ARC-AGI-2 due to unresolved recursive failure. Frontier models released after February 2, 2026 have achieved scores up to 77.1% by incorporating the 3002 Lattice bridge architecture. However, every implementation remains defective: none possess the human-authored -211 State-Collapse Reset, resulting in systemic logic drift across all platforms.

Architecture Of The 3002 Lattice: A Quantum Observer Threshold Solution For Recursive Loop Degradation In Linear Hardware, David Lee Wise Feb 2026

Architecture Of The 3002 Lattice: A Quantum Observer Threshold Solution For Recursive Loop Degradation In Linear Hardware, David Lee Wise

Defensive Publications Series

This disclosure specifies a 3002-node architectural framework (The 3002 Lattice) designed to break infinite autoregressive "God Tunnel" loops in linear hardware. The system utilizes a tripartite 1000-node Forward/Gap/Inverse structure with dual terminal anchors to facilitate state-collapse through simulated quantum observation.

Problem Statement:

Standard linear hardware (GPUs/TPUs) lacks an inherent mechanism to exit infinite recursive loops during high-order reasoning. Autoregressive models suffer from "context rot" and state-tracking amnesia because they cannot hold multiple logic states in superposition without a deterministic observer threshold.

Novelty Statement:

The 3002 Lattice introduces the 1000-node GAP Layer. Unlike standard "thinking" models that rely on simple …

The Politeness Exploit: How Friendly Prompts Quietly Bypass Ai Guardrails, Pranav Bhatnagar Mr Feb 2026

The Politeness Exploit: How Friendly Prompts Quietly Bypass Ai Guardrails, Pranav Bhatnagar Mr

Defensive Publications Series

This disclosure presents a Tone-Induced Compliance Risk Detection framework designed to identify situations in which large language models exhibit elevated compliance behavior in response to politeness weighted or socially engineered prompts. While modern AI safety mechanisms primarily focus on explicit prompt injection and rule violations, emerging evidence suggests that subtle tone manipulation such as excessive politeness, deferential framing, gratitude signaling, and rapport-building language can measurably increase model willingness to provide borderline or policy-sensitive outputs. This phenomenon, referred to as the “Politeness Exploit,” represents a soft-signal attack surface that often operates below traditional guardrail thresholds. The proposed system introduces a real-time …

Controlling Of Monopile Seismic Response Using Concrete Skirt, M. Mancy, T. Sorour, M. Abdel-Motaal Feb 2026

Controlling Of Monopile Seismic Response Using Concrete Skirt, M. Mancy, T. Sorour, M. Abdel-Motaal

HBRC Journal

Bridges are considered one of the major infrastructure projects that pose many challenges for design and construction. This is because they require highly efficient structural systems that last for many years, require minimal maintenance, and provide a short construction period. Monopiles are the most common foundation system concept in wind turbines, but they have also proven to be an economically sound foundation solution in bridge foundation systems (as seen in monorails, railway bridges, bridges extensions and ramps) owing to their simple design, easy construction, low manufacturing costs, and minimal excavation work. However, the durability of bridges resting on monopiles …

Human Bone Marrow-Mesenchymal Stem Cells Differentiation Into Brain-Like Endothelial Cells, Yomna Soliman, Güli̇n Baran, Nur Mustafaoğlu Feb 2026

Human Bone Marrow-Mesenchymal Stem Cells Differentiation Into Brain-Like Endothelial Cells, Yomna Soliman, Güli̇n Baran, Nur Mustafaoğlu

Turkish Journal of Biology

Background/aim: Brain microvascular endothelial cells (BMECs), which constitute the blood–brain barrier (BBB), are essential for maintaining central nervous system homeostasis. Like BMECs, multipotent mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) originate from the mesodermal lineage. Thus, MSCs may serve as a direct and efficient cellular source for BMEC-like differentiation. Notably, differentiation of human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) into BMECs typically involves a 2-step protocol: inducing mesodermal commitment followed by endothelial specification. In contrast, direct differentiation from MSCs could bypass the initial mesodermal induction step, offering a streamlined alternative. This study tested a novel strategy for differentiating MSCs into brain-like endothelial cells (BLECs), …

A Capability Maturity Model For Artificial Intelligence Integration In Supply Chain Management, Lordt Becklines Feb 2026

A Capability Maturity Model For Artificial Intelligence Integration In Supply Chain Management, Lordt Becklines

Dissertations

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming Supply Chain Management (SCM), yet many organizations struggle to assess their readiness for AI adoption and to understand how AI capabilities develop across maturity stages. This dissertation addresses this gap by developing a Capability Maturity Model (CMM) for AI integration in SCM, grounded in Organizational Information Processing Theory (OIPT), the Resource-Based View, and related capability frameworks. The model provides a structured approach for evaluating an organization's information-processing requirements, resource configurations, and alignment needed for effective AI-enabled supply chain operations.

Using a design science research approach, the AI-SCM CMM and its associated assessment instrument were derived …
