Lessons Learned: Implementing A Personalized Digital Learning Initiative In South Carolina Public Schools, Howard V. Coleman, Jeremy Dickerson, Cynthia Ambrose, Edi Cox
Teacher Education Journal of South Carolina
This paper presents logistics, planning, practical reflections and lessons learned from a large South Carolina school district's efforts to implement a Personalized Digital Learning (PDL) Initiative. This PDL process was designed and implemented to promote the achievement of Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and to go beyond traditional 1:1 computing environments in schools. Reflections for teachers, school leaders and technology specialists implementing new technologies are presented.

Influenza B Viral Infection Complicated By Acute Fulminant Myocarditis Requiring Mechanical Support: A Case Report., Tareef Hesham Kannout, Muhammad Azam Shah, Fahmi Abdullah Alkaf, Faisal A. Alghamdi, Mohammed Alreshidan
Journal of the Saudi Heart Association
Acute fulminant myocarditis represents a severe complication of myocarditis, necessitating early suspicion and intervention for improved patient outcomes. Influenza B-induced myocarditis remains a relatively rare entity. A young lady presented to the emergency department with symptoms of heart failure and cardiogenic shock, requiring inotropes without significant improvement. For the continued deterioration of her hemodynamics, she underwent mechanical circulatory support, including Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) and Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP). The follow-up investigations showed positive influenza B. She was treated with antiviral therapy and steroids, resulting in gradual improvement in hemodynamics and left ventricular ejection fraction

Effective Marketing Strategies Of Private Entities For Leading The United States Military Armed Forces, Harry B. Willis Iii
Effective Marketing Strategies Of Private Entities For Leading The United States Military Armed Forces, Harry B. Willis Iii
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
Ineffective marketing strategies contribute to lower retention outcomes by failing to communicate the value of training programs and build sustained community engagement. Training managers must implement intentional marketing strategies that strengthen community engagement and improve participant retention. Grounded in organization theory, the purpose of this qualitative pragmatic inquiry was to explore the successful marketing strategies used by training managers of private organizations in the United States to increase military numbers. The participants were six training managers from the Southwest United States. Data were collected from semistructured interviews. Through thematic analysis, four themes emerged: (a) marketing strategies, (b) training managers, (c) …

Conics Through Inequivalent 5-Arcs In Pg(2, 32), Zainab Abbas Khalaf, Emad Bakr Al-Zangana
Baghdad Science Journal
A k-arcs is usually defined to be a set of k points in the projective plane such that some lines meets K in two points. A conic is an irreducible plane quadric curve with six terms. The first aim of the paper is to find the projectively inequivalent 5-arcs and 6-arcs in the finite projective plane over the Galois field of order two, and find the subgroups of PGL( 3,32 ) that are fixing these arcs. The second aim is to determine the conics form that passes through these 5-arcs and 6-arcs, and then parameterized. As an application to our …

Implementing A Secure Rpl Routing Protocol For Iot Networks Using Lightweight Authentication Technique, Hussein A. Nassrullah, Zainab T. Alisa
Baghdad Science Journal
The use of Internet of Things (IoT) networks is increasing daily both in terms of the number of active IoT devices and the number of sectors and applications using IoT technologies. This widespread deployment increases the importance of protecting these networks and secure their data from theft or manipulation. The IoT routing protocol (RPL) is the primary protocol used in resource constrained IoT networks. However, this protocol contains a number of security vulnerabilities that practically restrict its use in many sensitive applications. This research proposes a lightweight secure operating mode for the RPL protocol called Lightweight Security Mode RPL (LSM-RPL) …

The COVID-19 pandemic and Lebanon’s ongoing economic crisis exacerbated existing workforce and health disparities. This study explored the predictors of employment attrition during Lebanon’s concurrent crises and examined the association between chronic conditions and employment attrition. This cross-sectional study recruited adults aged 19–64 years residing in Lebanon through random digit dialing (January – July 2024). Data collected included socio-demographics, household characteristics, employment history and characteristics, and self-reported chronic conditions. The outcome was loss of paid employment (employment attrition) during the crises. Predictors were identified through a Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator (LASSO) regression, and model discrimination and calibration were …

Consistent with national trends, the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) is transitioning to the globally recognised Stock Synthesis (SS) platform to support more robust, transparent, and internationally aligned assessments. To ensure this transition remains scientifically sound, DPIRD commissioned an independent expert review in 2025, following a previous review in 2024. The 2025 review was conducted by Professor André Punt and focused on integrated models for three key WA fish stocks: red emperor in the Kimberley, WA dhufish in the southern West Coast Bioregion, and sandbar shark at the statewide level. This publication summarises the findings and recommendations …
