Evaluating The Effectiveness Of Adaptive Learning Strategies Among Deaf Students In Inclusive Higher Education: A Thematic Analysis, Mayasari Manar, Murni Winarsih

Jurnal Pendidikan: Teori, Penelitian, dan Pengembangan

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of learning adaptation strategies implemented by students with hearing impairments in the context of inclusive higher education. The study employs a qualitative approach using an open-ended survey design involving 15 students with hearing impairments who are currently enrolled in or have previously attended higher education institutions. Data were analyzed using a reflexive thematic analysis approach to identify thematic patterns related to perceptions of the effectiveness of the adaptation strategies employed. The findings indicate that the majority of respondents perceived the adaptation strategies they used as “fairly effective,” although not yet fully optimal. The …

Systematic Design And Optimization Of Porous Bone Plates Using Taguchi Method And Finite Element Analysis, Aliaa A. Farraj, Tawakol A. Enab, Hanan M. Amer, Mostafa A. Elbahloul

Mansoura Engineering Journal

Solid bone fixation plates, although clinically effective, often induce stress shielding and impair periosteal blood flow due to their mismatch in stiffness with cortical bone. To overcome these limitations, this study proposes lattice-engineered porous bone plates designed to balance mechanical integrity and biological compatibility. A systematic parametric investigation was conducted by varying three design variables: crystal structure type (diamond, fluorite, and gyroid), porosity levels (50%, 70%, and 90%), and structure layout. Three-dimensional models were developed using nTopology, and finite element analysis (FEA) was performed under a static compressive load to evaluate stress distribution. A Taguchi L9 orthogonal array was employed …

Literature Study: Implementation Of Meaningful Learning In Social Studies Learning In Elementary Schools, Kadek Mahayanti, I Wayan Lasmawan, I Wayan Kertih

Jurnal Pendidikan Humaniora

The formation of character and social insight is very important for students to have since elementary school, which makes social studies learning very important to be taught. However, there is a big challenge in social studies learning in elementary schools, namely an interesting learning method in accordance with the development of elementary school students who are still at the concrete operational stage. One solution to overcome this challenge is to apply a meaningful learning approach. This approach makes it easy for students to understand new concepts because the concept is still related to the concepts that students previously had, so …

Transformation Of Environmental Education (Plh) Learning With Contextual-Based E-Modules At Pabentengang Tpa, Najlah Shalsa Byla, Didik Taryana, Yusuf Suharto Apr 2026

Transformation Of Environmental Education (Plh) Learning With Contextual-Based E-Modules At Pabentengang Tpa, Najlah Shalsa Byla, Didik Taryana, Yusuf Suharto

Jurnal Pendidikan Humaniora

The development of this e-module is motivated by the limitations of PLH teaching materials which are only conceptual and do not link theory to real phenomena around students, for example the problem of waste management at the Pabentengang TPA. These limitations cause learning to be less interesting and meaningful. Therefore, this study aims to transform PLH learning through the development of contextual-based e-modules that link theory to local environmental problems directly. This study uses the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The validity of the product was assessed by material experts and …

Jurnal Pendidikan Humaniora

This article presents a literature study that examines the use of ethnomethodology as an approach in qualitative research, specifically within the context of human resource management (HRM). Employing the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, this study explores, identifies, investigates, evaluates, and interprets existing research to uncover how ethnomethodology addresses challenges in HRM. The findings reveal that ethnomethodology offers a valuable lens for understanding complex issues within HRM by analyzing the everyday interactions and practices of individuals in the workplace. This approach enables researchers to uncover underlying problems in HRM and provides insights that can inform strategies for problem-solving. By highlighting …

Literature Study Of Intercultural Communication Competence In The Adaptation Process Of Indonesian Housekeepers In Japan, Sri Nurhafmi Widia Hermawan Putri, Hardayati Rambe, Mela Sari Pili

Jurnal Pendidikan Humaniora

Japan is one of the countries that often opens job vacancies for foreign workers, but cultural diversity, differences in beliefs, and different seasonal climates often pose challenges in social interactions. This has the potential to cause misunderstandings between foreign workers, including those from Indonesia, and local coworkers. The Impact Of Principal Leadership And Teacher Professionalism On Teacher Performance: The Mediating Role Of Work Motivation During The Covid-19 Pandemic, Puji Rahayu, Abdul Juli Andi Gani, Suryadi Suryadi

Jurnal Pendidikan Humaniora

The background to this research is based on the learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic which was carried out at home in order to break the chain of spread of Covid-19. The presence of Covid-19 that has hit the world has caused an uncertain situation. The unpreparedness of all elements, including teachers, in learning is a major obstacle. Make It Make Cents: Creating A Rubric To Evaluate Potential Read-And-Publish Agreements, Olivia Chin, Luke Mcdonald

All Things Open

Negotiating read-and-publish agreements for institutions can be tricky! There are many different aspects to consider: cost, publisher ethics, publishing data, open access discounts, etc. How do you decide which agreements to choose? What are your dealbreakers? In the summer of 2025, the License Negotiation Team from the University of Tennessee Knoxville Libraries created a rubric to evaluate potential read-and-publish agreements with vendors. The rubric allowed us to prioritize our principled negotiations approach and standardize how we approach these decisions. This presentation will demonstrate how academic libraries can create and implement rubrics to address the publishing criteria most important within their …

Here Be Dragons (Or Treasure?): Navigating Complexities Of Oa Funding Options, Anna R. Craft Apr 2026

Here Be Dragons (Or Treasure?): Navigating Complexities Of Oa Funding Options, Anna R. Craft

All Things Open

The wide availability of open access scholarship benefits authors, readers, and institutions. But it can be challenging to navigate OA funding options, especially in a climate of budget cuts and rising costs. In these conditions, how can institutions support authors who want--or need--to share their work via open access?

At UNC Greensboro, a mid-sized regional public university in central North Carolina, OA funding support options include APC waivers and discounts through read-and-publish agreements with certain publishers, as well as an OA subvention fund that offers limited awards to offset some APC costs. These options have supported many UNCG authors in …

Examining The Impact Of Professional Development On Paraprofessional Self-Efficacy In Rural Settings, Elise Murray, Moriah Smothers, Tori L. Colson, Stacey Keown-Murray

Kentucky Teacher Education Journal: The Journal of the Teacher Education Division of the Kentucky Council for Exceptional Children

Due to an increasing reliance on special education paraprofessionals in rural schools, this study examines their self-efficacy beliefs before and after professional development. Using a mixed-methods approach, findings suggest no significant change in self-efficacy post-training. Paraprofessionals’ confidence was more influenced by on-the-job experiences than by a single professional development session.
