Optimizing Hydrogen Generation: Evaluating Solar-Powered Hydroxy Gas Electrolyzer Performance, Sahar M. Abd Elazim, Ehab. S. Ali

Yanbu Journal of Engineering and Science

Hydrogen is being explored as a potential alternative energy source, with water electrolysis emerging as one of the key methods under consideration. This process involves applying an electric current to water to generate hydrogen gas. A recent study examines a membrane-free steel electrolyzer that uses potassium hydroxide as the electrolyte and is powered by solar panels. The experiments revealed that each electrolyzer plate operated at 2–3 volts, requiring careful coordination between the number of plates and the output voltage of the solar panels. Hydrogen production ranged from 1,919 to 6,919 L/m2 of solar panel surface, highlighting the importance of optimizing …

Quantum-Resilient Consensus Framework For Safe Critical Actions In Multi-Agent Ai Systems, Niranjan M M Apr 2026

Quantum-Resilient Consensus Framework For Safe Critical Actions In Multi-Agent Ai Systems, Niranjan M M

Defensive Publications Series

The proposal introduces a generic, protocol-agnostic safety framework that prevents AI agents from executing high-impact or destructive actions such as deleting production databases, modifying configurations, or performing system-level operations without distributed, multi-agent approval. When any agent attempts a critical operation, it must initiate a Consensus Request, which is independently evaluated by a quorum of peer agents using their own reasoning, safety policies, and simulations. The action is executed only if the required quorum threshold is met.

All requests, votes, and decisions are authenticated using post-quantum digital signatures based on CRYSTALS-Kyber and related PQC schemes, ensuring tamper-proof auditability and long-term security. …

Omnidirectional Oscillating Fluid Inertial Wind Harvester, Joe Dulo Apr 2026

Omnidirectional Oscillating Fluid Inertial Wind Harvester, Joe Dulo

Defensive Publications Series

Abstract: The Omnidirectional Fluid-Inertial Wind Harvester

This disclosure presents an Off-Center Omnidirectional Tipping (OCT) wind energy harvester designed to address the mechanical fragilities and maintenance complexities of traditional horizontal-axis wind turbines, particularly in extreme or remote environments. The system utilizes a vertically oriented, aero-elastic NACA-profile sail as its primary prime mover. Unlike conventional rotary blades, this sail leverages Vortex-Induced Vibrations (VIV) and galloping phenomena to generate a high-torque, low-frequency harmonic oscillation (${\pm30^{\circ}}$).

The core innovation lies in the mechanical rectification of this reciprocating motion into continuous, unidirectional 360° rotation. This is achieved through a robust crank-slider linkage coupled to …

Occupancy-Weighted Actuarial Model For Projecting Returns In Equity-Based Residential Access Agreements, Aaron Burton Apr 2026

Occupancy-Weighted Actuarial Model For Projecting Returns In Equity-Based Residential Access Agreements, Aaron Burton

Defensive Publications Series

A method for projecting expected financial returns for both parties in an equity-based residential access agreement using an actuarial model that weights projected returns by an inverse occupancy probability curve tied to the fair market rental value of the property. Higher-value properties receive lower occupancy probability estimates, reflecting the empirical relationship between luxury property pricing and vacancy rates, producing an occupancy-adjusted return projection that accounts for the opportunity cost of foregone rental income.

Dynamic Equity Accrual Method For Residential Access Agreements Between Early-Stage Companies And Property Owners, Aaron Burton Apr 2026

Dynamic Equity Accrual Method For Residential Access Agreements Between Early-Stage Companies And Property Owners, Aaron Burton

Defensive Publications Series

A method for structuring residential access agreements in which an early-stage company provides equity compensation to a property owner in lieu of cash rent. The method uses a dynamic equity formula that calculates an annual equity accrual rate based on the fair market rental value of the property divided by the company valuation, with a two-phase structure that automatically transitions from a risk-discounted pre-financing rate to a post-money rate upon the occurrence of a qualifying financing event. A cumulative equity cap limits total dilution to the company regardless of property value or term length.

Navigation System Using Sensory Profiles And A Personalized Cost Function, N/A Apr 2026

Navigation System Using Sensory Profiles And A Personalized Cost Function, N/A

Defensive Publications Series

Navigation systems can calculate routes based on metrics such as travel time and distance, which may not account for the subjective sensory experience of a journey for individuals with sensory sensitivities. Systems and methods are described for sensory-aware routing that can ingest and process various geolocated data streams, including, for example, visual, acoustic, and semantic information. A multimodal inference engine may analyze this data to quantify sensory attributes for geographic path segments, generating a multidimensional sensory vector that can represent characteristics such as auditory intensity and visual complexity. A personalized routing engine could then utilize an expanded cost function, incorporating …

Igniting Actor Imagination Through Ignatian-Inspired Exercises And Praxis In Performance: Teaching Thea. 351 The Last Days Of Judas Iscariot, Maria Victoria Lingbanan

LMU Theses and Dissertations

This paper proposes an emerging approach to actor training that deepens imaginative engagement by integrating Ignatian Spirituality into theatrical practice. It argues that an Ignatian‑inspired method—The Imagination Exercises, rooted in the Spiritual Exercises in Daily Life (SEEL)—effectively enhances the actor’s capacity for empathy, character investment, and emotional truth. Drawing on scholarship in acting, performance studies, and Catholic spiritual tradition, the study outlines a step‑by‑step application of these exercises within an undergraduate acting course. The method is implemented through lecture, rehearsal, and performance labs, culminating in a staged reading of The Last Days of Judas Iscariot. The paper demonstrates how the …

Asymptotic Sensitivity And Adjoint Methods For Equation Discovery With Open-Source Implementation, Nathan Schill Apr 2026

Asymptotic Sensitivity And Adjoint Methods For Equation Discovery With Open-Source Implementation, Nathan Schill

Theses and Dissertations

The "on-the-fly" (OTF) method is a gradient-based approach to equation discovery. It makes use of (potentially limited) observational data, a data assimilation technique such as continuous data assimilation (also called nudging), and an error metric. From these it computes an asymptotic approximation of a simulated system's error sensitivity with respect to unknown parameters and utilizes any gradient-based optimization algorithm to perform parameter updates. These parameter updates may be done online or offline, and the model may be of a precisely specified form or simply a library of possible terms with potentially nonlinear parameters. We have applied the adjoint method to …

Stack-Based Exploit Development Techniques In Mips Architectures, Justin Applegate Apr 2026

Stack-Based Exploit Development Techniques In Mips Architectures, Justin Applegate

Theses and Dissertations

Memory corruption vulnerabilities in binary executables represent a serious threat to software security, particularly in embedded and IoT (Internet of Things) devices that commonly use the MIPS architecture. While exploit development techniques for x86 are well-documented in academic literature, little systematic work exists on how those techniques translate to other architectures such as MIPS. This research addresses that gap by evaluating thirteen stack-based exploit development techniques and subtechniques, originally designed in the context of the x86 architecture, for their applicability to MIPS architectures. For each technique, vulnerable C code was written and compiled into both x86 and a set of …
