The Effectiveness Of Using Digital Photographs On Teaching Writing Narrative Text For English For Specific Purposes, Fitrana Harintama, Nur Mukminatien, Enny Irawati

Jurnal Pendidikan Humaniora

The paper reports a study which aims at exploring the effectiveness of digital photographs in helping students to achieve higher writing performance. This research uses quasi experimental de sign. The participants were two groups of Arabic Literature department of Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University, Malang which were drawn using random sampling technique. The findings indicate that the posttest result of experimental and control groups are significantly different. The findings suggest that the implementation of digital photographs in the teaching of writing helps the students gain higher scores than the students who are taught using story starters.

The aim of this research is to describe and examine the effect of instructional group work method utilizing video media and achievement motivation towards students’ study results in writing English descriptive paragraph. This research is a quasi-experimental with factorial version 2x2 of pretest and posttest nonequivalent control group design, implemented into five different paralel classes, A,B,C,D, and E class. Data of study results collected through pretest and posttest are analized by using SPSS 17. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji pengaruh strategi scaffolding-kooperatif dan pengetahuan awal terhadap prestasi belajar dan sikap pada matakuliah Fisika Dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh status sosial ekonomi orang tua, persepsi siswa atas lingkungannya dan pengetahuan dasar ekonomi siswa terhadap rasionalitas perilaku konsumsi siswa. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap siswa SMA di Kota Madiun. This study aims to examine the rhetorical moves and explore the use of verb tense in research article abstracts This study employs corpus based approach using a corpus toolkit AntConc 3.2.4w. The subjects of this study are 29 research articles. The findings reveal that the preferred rhetorical moves of the abstracts are Move 2-purpose, Move 3-method, and Move 4-result. The use of present tense is dominant in all five moves. Additionally, past tense is mostly found in method move. This study aims at investigating the ways the English teachers develop the test prompts of and the ways they administer the English US of speaking and writing skills. The study employed quantitative and qualitative approaches involving 73 SMAs in Bandung. The findings indicate that administrative aspects were successfully administered; however, technical aspects were not appropriately administered because most teachers did not involve experts and students in validation and try-out processes.

This publication describes a co-packaged backplane system architecture that addresses insertion loss and reach limitations in high-frequency electrical channels. By incorporating a blind mate connector directly onto a chip substrate, the architecture enables direct mating to a backplane or frontplane. This approach eliminates internal flyover cables, increasing the copper reach within a system rack and reducing the complexity of the electrical channel. Using generative artificial intelligence with sensitive data may present challenges, as transmitting personally identifiable information or protected health information to third-party providers can introduce security risks, and some data masking techniques can reduce reasoning capabilities. A described system uses a proxy, masking layer that can intercept data within an enterprise's secure perimeter. This layer can substitute sensitive strings with persistent, structured semantic tokens that may be enriched with non-sensitive metadata hints to help preserve context.
