The Specifics Of Green Mortgages: A Case Study Of Poland, Mateusz Tomal, Ewa Gorlecka-Łabiak
The Specifics Of Green Mortgages: A Case Study Of Poland, Mateusz Tomal, Ewa Gorlecka-Łabiak
Journal of Banking and Financial Economics
The green mortgage market in Poland has received limited research attention. Therefore, this article aims to present the specifics of the green mortgage market in Poland. To thoroughly investigate the issue, in-depth interviews were conducted with 12 banking sector representatives, each with varying experience and professional roles. The study’s findings revealed that there is no formal definition of green mortgages, which hinders both banks and their customers. Currently, green mortgages are rarely granted due to their limited economic benefit to borrowers and the small number of residential properties that qualify. For banks, green mortgages present an opportunity to expand their …

U.S. Health Care Leaders’ Strategies To Improve Operational Efficiency Through Artificial Intelligence In Hospital Settings, Antwonne Demarco Ward
U.S. Health Care Leaders’ Strategies To Improve Operational Efficiency Through Artificial Intelligence In Hospital Settings, Antwonne Demarco Ward
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
Health care leaders in the United States increasingly adopt artificial intelligence (AI) to improve operational efficiency, yet many organizations struggle to achieve sustained operational value from AI initiatives. This problem is important to health care leaders, patients, clinicians, staff, and communities because AI-supported decisions may affect workflow, access, safety, staffing, and trust. The purpose of this qualitative pragmatic inquiry project was to explore strategies U.S. health care leaders used to improve operational efficiency through AI in hospital settings. Eight U.S. health care leaders in hospital settings across the United States participated. The technology-organization-environment framework grounded the project. Data were collected …

Effect Of Naoh Concentration On The Structural, Morphological, And Tensile Properties Of Pineapple Stem Fibers, Ahmad Norca Kurnia Zen, Heru Suryanto, Aminnudin Aminnudin, Fajar Nusantara, Joseph Selvi Binoj
Journal of Mechanical Engineering Science and Technology (JMEST)
Natural fiber reinforced composites are increasingly being developed due to their environmentally friendly nature, low production costs, and safety for human health. However, the presence of lignin and hemicellulose reduces adhesion properties between fiber and composite matrix. Alkalization treatment is an effective way to remove lignin and hemicellulose attached to cellulose. This study aims to determine the optimum concentration of NaOH used during alkalization process of pineapple stem fiber. The methods included the retting process of fibers from pineapple stems. The obtained fibers were soaked in variations of 2%, 4%, 6%, and 8% NaOH for 4 hours, then dried and …

Sensing Freedom: Service User Perspectives Of Sensory Processing And Occupational Participation In A Forensic Mental Health Inpatient Setting – A Qualitative Study, Elana Moore, Rosi Raine, Alison Warren, Karen Beaulieu
School of Health Professions
Sensory processing shapes how people respond to environmental stimuli, influencing their ability to regulate themselves, make choices and participate in activities. Evidence indicates that people with mental health problems often experience sensory-processing difficulties that reduce rehabilitation participation. Secure forensic mental health settings are designed to manage behaviours that challenge; however, research indicates the physical environment not only limits opportunities for meaningful participation in rehabilitation activities but may also influence sensory experiences. Despite the interplay between the secure environment, sensory processing and participation, these concepts are seldom discussed in the literature. This qualitative study aimed to explore service users’ experience of …
Addressing The ‘Chicken-And-Egg’ Dilemma: Pension Reform, Market Coordination, And Policy Design, Shujaat Khan, Bo Li, Yunhui Zhao
Addressing The ‘Chicken-And-Egg’ Dilemma: Pension Reform, Market Coordination, And Policy Design, Shujaat Khan, Bo Li, Yunhui Zhao
Journal of Banking and Financial Economics
Why do domestic stock markets in many emerging market economies fail to develop, even in the presence of high savings rates? In this paper, we argue that this may be a ‘chicken-and-egg’ problem, which we formalise as a market coordination failure. We first develop a stylised game-theoretical model, showing that when long-term equity investment is subject to network externalities, the Pareto-optimal, high-investment equilibrium is not robust to noise. Individual investors, fearing defection by others, will rationally choose a low-investment (or ‘run’) strategy, trapping the market in a state of underdevelopment. We then show how a specific institutional design – a …

Multifunctional Engineering Of Manganese Malate For Supercapacitors, Krithika M Ms
Theses and Dissertations
Supercapacitors are promising energy storage devices owing to their rapid charge-discharge capability and long cycle-life. Based on the charge storage mechanism, supercapacitors are broadly categorised into electric double-layer capacitors (EDLCs), pseudocapacitors and hybrid capacitors. In this work, manganese malate (MnM) is systematically developed as a versatile electrode material for supercapacitor applications through rational synthesis, textural engineering, compositional modification, phase transformation and sustainable resource utilisation.
In Chapter 2, MnM was electrodeposited onto stainless-steel foil via chronoamperometry at 2, 3 and 4 V. MnM electrodeposited at 2 V (MnM2) exhibits a specific capacitance of 186 F g-1 at 1 A g-1 with …

Despite extensive study of La2NiMnO6 double perovskites, a systematic understanding of the effects of A-site rare-earth substitution on coupled structural, electronic, and optical properties remains lacking. Here, we provide the first integrated experimental-computational comparison of La2NiMnO6 (LaNMO) and Nd2NiMnO6 (NdNMO), establishing quantitative structure–property relationships. Rietveld refinement demonstrates that Nd3+ substitution amplifies MnO6 and NiO6 octahedral distortions 5-fold (ΔdMn: 4.69 × 10–4 to 23.9 × 10–4; ΔdNi: 1.18 × 10–4 to 5.91 × 10–4), reduces Mn–O–Ni bond …

Fuel Tank Seismic Stability Program-Informed Displacement Maps Of Portland's Critical Energy Infrastructure Hub, Ana Tijerina Esquino
Fuel Tank Seismic Stability Program-Informed Displacement Maps Of Portland's Critical Energy Infrastructure Hub, Ana Tijerina Esquino
Dissertations and Theses
Oregon's Critical Energy Infrastructure (CEI) Hub in northwest Portland contains a large portion of the state's liquid fuel storage and distribution capacity and is located in an area susceptible to liquefaction and earthquake-induced permanent ground deformation during a Cascadia Subduction Zone earthquake. Initial Seismic Vulnerability Assessments submitted under Oregon's Fuel Tank Seismic Stability program provide valuable facility-specific information, but the assessments vary in subsurface characterization, treatment of fine-grained soils, ground motion selection, and deformation estimation methods. This variability complicates interpretation of regional seismic risk and motivates a consistent corridor-scale analysis.
This thesis develops CPT-informed displacement estimates for representative cross sections …

Two-Tier Seat-Limit Classifier With Active Per-Seat-Credential Self-Probe, Gustavo Matthew Assuncao

A fleet of autonomous LLM coding/review agents, each holding its own per-seat license, draws from a small set of shared provider quotas (an organization spend ceiling and a per-minute API rate limit). Treating every provider error as a uniform retry-with-backoff is wrong twice: a transient rate limit and a durable capacity exhaustion need opposite recovery horizons (minutes vs. hours), and a central platform key cannot test whether an individual seat's license has recovered because the quota is bound to the seat's own credential. This publication discloses a method that (1) recovers a limit signal from the agent's free-text output — …

Category-Adaptive Recall Depth (Card) For Heat-Tiered Memory Systems, With Experimental Validation On Longmemeval-500, Arko Sanyal
Defensive Publications Series
We present Category-Adaptive Recall Depth (CARD), a retrieval mechanism for heat-tiered memory systems that conditions top-K depth and ranking strategy on a query category signal. Prior memory retrieval systems apply a fixed top-K regardless of query semantics; CARD instead assigns each query to one of four categories—information extraction (IE), knowledge update (KU), multi-session reasoning (MSR), temporal reasoning (TR)—and selects a per-category (K, ranking_strategy) pair optimized for that category's retrieval demands. KU queries additionally filter to the highest-version record per entity, enabling 100.0% accuracy on knowledge update tasks. We evaluate CARD integrated with LOCI (Layered Output and Context Intelligence), a heat-tiered …

Technical Disclosure: The Unified Metric-Shift Engine (Umse), Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This technical disclosure formalizes the system engineering specifications for the Unified Metric-Shift Engine (UMSE). Rather than treating elemental replication, spatial teleportation, and temporal navigation as independent physical anomalies, the UMSE architectural framework unifies them into a single hardware-software stack built upon 2D viscoelastic substrate mechanics .
By manipulating the z-axis coordinate projection and helical phase vectors of localized soliton excitations (particles), the system operates entirely within room-temperature, non-equilibrium phase space . Inspired by the Nobel-Prize-adjacent mechanics of Soliton Trapping (Caltech) and Laser Wakefield Acceleration (LWFA), this disclosure details how a garage-budget harmonic computer can manipulate the fundamental universal source code—the …

Emergent Volumetric Expansion: Resolving The Hubble Tension Via 2d Viscoelastic Substrate Mechanics And Fused Bao Facets, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This paper presents a rigorous, particle-free alternative to the standard Friedmann-Lemaître-Robertson-Walker (FLRW) metric expansion paradigm by unifying the Dimensionally Extended Holographic Projection (DEHP) model and Informational Exomemory Cosmology (IEC). Rather than treating the vacuum as a geometric void expanding via dark energy, we formalize space as a continuous, two-dimensional (2D) viscoelastic phase fluid substrate operating at a resonant baseline (z=0). Three-dimensional (3D) baryonic matter emerges exclusively as localized, high-tension wave crests ("knots") projected vertically along a spatial z-axis, topologically anchored to zero-volume underbelly negative wave troughs ("anchors").
By applying continuum fluid mechanics to this membrane architecture, we reinterpret the 150-megaparsec …
Hardware-Driven Race-To-Halt (Rth) In Conjunction With Dynamic Voltage And Frequency Scaling (Dvfs) For Memory Path Power Management, Anthony Douglas Masterson
Hardware-Driven Race-To-Halt (Rth) In Conjunction With Dynamic Voltage And Frequency Scaling (Dvfs) For Memory Path Power Management, Anthony Douglas Masterson
Defensive Publications Series
This publication describes systems and techniques to manage power for dynamic memory interfaces within system-on-chip architectures. In some implementations, memory paths utilize discrete operating frequencies. The described systems introduce a hardware-driven synchronization and dynamic voltage and frequency scaling (DVFS) mechanism that adjusts the active time of a memory interface based on real-time utilization. By operating the memory interface and associated requestor blocks at an elevated speed for a compressed burst period, and subsequently power-gating these components, a variable offline period is created. This synchronization effectively yields a continuous spectrum of bandwidth scaling levels. The hardware-driven approach coordinates active and inactive …

Jurnal Pendidikan: Teori, Penelitian, dan Pengembangan
This study examines the representation of women's resistance to patriarchy through identity formation and self-determination in the film Enola Holmes (2020). Set in the Victorian era, the film portrays a patriarchal society that limits women's rights, educational opportunities, and freedom to determine their own lives. This study employed a descriptive qualitative design with a grounded theory approach. The primary data were collected through repeated observation of the film, focusing on relevant scenes, dialogues, character actions, and visual elements, and were analyzed using thematic analysis interpreted through the perspectives of patriarchy and liberal feminism. The findings reveal that patriarchy is represented …

Central Asia's Kaleidoscope Of Identities: Sport As The Perfect Instrument For Nation-Building, Khais Rahmanie
Journal of Global South Sport Studies
The five Central Asian countries emerged from Soviet collapse with arbitrarily drawn borders, weak national identities, and deeply complex ethnic and religious landscapes. Predominantly Muslim but heir to seventy years of Soviet secularization, each state contains substantial minority populations. Confronted with these internal fractures, the governments of these countries have since their independence in the 1990s turned to sport as a primary instrument for forging social cohesion, managing interethnic tensions, and legitimizing their authority. This article examines the ethnic lines, explains why certain sports and events are specifically organized in particular regions, and traces sport's evolution from a Soviet tool …

Night Flight: Online Literary Journal
Frequency Zero is a grounded science fiction thriller that explores the terrifying intersection of rigid aviation protocol and the unexplainable. Set during the desolate 02:00 shift at a high-desert regional airport, the narrative follows Elana, a pragmatic air traffic controller whose unwavering faith in logic and physics is shattered by the arrival of an impossible aircraft. Operating without a transponder, radar signature, or engine noise, the sleek, phantom craft, identifying only as Niner-Four-Golf, defies every aerodynamic law before seamlessly dissolving through the solid steel doors of a classified government hangar. As the facility initiates a synchronized, covert deployment of unmarked …
