Historical Dissertations & Theses

This report does not cover all of the child-helping organizations in the city but those not mentioned here are described in the other departments of the survey. A correct understanding of the psychological ideals of each institution, especially those under Catholic management, is necessary in order to get a fair appreciation of the work being done.

While, of course, the facts in no two cases are alike, this diversity cannot account for the variance in result. The rule of law to be applied is not seriously disputed. The Anchor, Volume 23.06: May 1, 1910, Hope College May 1910

The Anchor, Volume 23.06: May 1, 1910, Hope College

The Anchor: 1910

The Anchor began in 1887 and was first issued weekly in 1914. Covering national and campus news alike, Hope College’s student-run newspaper has grown over the years to encompass over two-dozen editors, reporters, and staff. For much of The Anchor's history, the latest issue was distributed across campus each Wednesday throughout the academic school year (with few exceptions). In recent years The Anchor moved to monthly print issues and a more frequently updated website. The Anchor is now published in print twice per academic semester. Occasionally, the volume and/or issue numbering is irregular.
