Implementing Vertical Gardens In Educational Buildings To Reduce Energy Consumption And Achieve Low Carbon Emissions, Khloud Khalid Eldamshiry, Mohamed Esmat Elattar, Ahmed Abubakr Aug 2025

Implementing Vertical Gardens In Educational Buildings To Reduce Energy Consumption And Achieve Low Carbon Emissions, Khloud Khalid Eldamshiry, Mohamed Esmat Elattar, Ahmed Abubakr

Architectural Engineering

Nowadays, the change of climate has been a crucial problem for architects to address since buildings consume more than half of the energy that results in carbon dioxide emissions that contribute to climate change. Vertical gardens have been proven in studies to be capable of significantly offsetting carbon dioxide emissions from building. in addition to passively cooling and insulating the structure As a result, the energy required for building operation is lowered in what appears to be a butterfly effect. The bulk of non-residential buildings in Egypt have been built without regard for energy efficiency regulations in recent years. As …

Assessment Of Nutritional Status In Migraine Patients, Marwa Mohammed Ali Jassim, Abeer Mohammed Ali Al-Garawyi, Hayder Saad Hanfoosh Alatabi

Muthanna Medical Journal

Background: Migraine is the most common multidisciplinary and multifactorial neurologic disorder that is characterized by recurrent attacks of headache. Migraine occurs either in episodic or in chronic form, with or without aura. Recent research suggests that nutritional deficiencies, particularly Vitamin B12 deficiency, may play a role in the pathophysiology of migraines due to its impact on neurological function and homocysteine metabolism. Although its exact cause is still under investigation, recent studies suggest that vitamin D deficiency may play a role in migraine occurrence and severity. On the other hand, one of the main roles of Mg is to conserve neurons …

Covered Stent Salvage For Iatrogenic Vertebral Artery Injury In Traumatic Cervical Spine Injury: A Case Report And Literature Review, Tzu-Hao Yen, Wei-Liang Chen, Ying-Lin Tseng, You-Pen Chiu, Hui-Ru Ji, Jeng-Hung Guo, Cheng-Di Chiu

BioMedicine

We report the case of a 70-year-old woman who sustained complex traumatic injuries in a motor vehicle accident, including cervical spine fractures and a high suspicion of traumatic vertebral artery injury (VAI). Initial digital subtraction angiography (DSA) revealed no evidence of vertebral artery (VA) involvement. She subsequently underwent anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF); however, an iatrogenic injury to the right VA occurred intraoperatively, necessitating emergent endovascular stenting for vascular repair. This case underscores the importance of comprehensive preoperative imaging, intraoperative vigilance, and coordinated multidisciplinary management in cervical spine trauma with potential vascular involvement.

Can Coffee Combat Fatty Liver? A Review Of Emerging Evidence, Mohamed E. Abd El-Hack, Muhammad Arif, Vincenzo Tufarelli, Ayman A. Swelum

Al-Mustaqbal Journal of Pharmaceutical and Medical Sciences

NAFLD (Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease) is an increasingly spread metabolic status characterized by increasing fat accumulation in the liver, obesity closely associated with it, sedentary habits and insulin resistance. Since there is currently no recognized pharmaceutical treatment, lifestyle changes continue to be the mainstay of treatment. Coffee, a globally consumed beverage rich in bioactive and useful compounds like caffeine, cafestol, kahweol, and chlorogenic acids, has emerged as a potential hepatoprotective agent. Evidence from epidemiological experiments, animal studies, and human trials suggests that regular coffee drinking may help decrease hepatic fat levels, improve antioxidant defenses, prevent inflammatory pathways, and prevent or …
