Reclaiming Instructional Leadership: Using Evidence-Based Tools And Conversations To Change Classroom Practice, Lyndsay Britt, Matthew Militello Sep 2026

Reclaiming Instructional Leadership: Using Evidence-Based Tools And Conversations To Change Classroom Practice, Lyndsay Britt, Matthew Militello

Journal of Organizational & Educational Leadership

Instructional leadership is the most influential lever principals and supervisors have to improve teaching and learning, yet managerial demands often limit sustained classroom engagement. This qualitative participatory action research study explores how leaders can reclaim instructional leadership by embedding focused observation tools and instructional conversations into routine supervision without adding time burdens.

Using Community Learning Exchange methodology, four teachers and a principal engaged in a 14-month community of practice at a rural Title I early college high school. Through three inquiry cycles, the study examined how evidence-based tools and data-informed dialogue shaped teaching and leadership practices.

Findings revealed two outcomes …

Becoming: Adult Learners In Graduate Education And The Pursuit Of A Meaningful Life, Tara Shollenberger Sep 2026

Becoming: Adult Learners In Graduate Education And The Pursuit Of A Meaningful Life, Tara Shollenberger

Journal of Organizational & Educational Leadership

Adult learners in graduate education represent a population defined by deliberate, purposeful choice. Unlike traditional-age students, these individuals advance within higher education while managing careers, families, and complex life responsibilities. This conceptual paper explores the espoused and enacted vision for a meaningful life held by adult learners in graduate education, with particular attention to doctoral students in professional education programs. Evidence is drawn from national enrollment and attrition data, relevant scholarship, and nearly two decades of direct practitioner observation. The paper argues that adult graduate learners are animated by a vision of becoming: a generational, relational, and deeply purposeful understanding …

Catalytic Integrated Molten-Salt Fast Reactor & Fuel Recovery System (Cimfr-1.0) —, Michael Victor Caldwell Mr. Sep 2026

Catalytic Integrated Molten-Salt Fast Reactor & Fuel Recovery System (Cimfr-1.0) —, Michael Victor Caldwell Mr.

Defensive Publications Series

CIMFR-1.0 is a self-contained, open-hardware chemical processing unit that converts clean, post-consumer polyolefin plastics (Polyethylene [PE] and Polypropylene [PP]) into drop-in industrial fuels: C5-C12 gasoline-cut hydrocarbons (target: 91+ RON) and low-sulfur off-road diesel (target: <15 ppm sulfur).

The system uses a two-stage thermal/catalytic pathway grounded in published research from Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), which demonstrated that AlCl3-containing molten salts convert polyolefins into gasoline-range branched C6-C12 alkanes at temperatures below 170°C via Lewis-acid carbenium ion chemistry — without noble metal catalysts or an external hydrogen source. This is not standard thermal pyrolysis (450°C-600°C). It is low-temperature catalytic depolymerization followed by vapor-phase zeolite upgrading. …

Novelty Gate Defensive Pub, David Lee Wise, Avan Claude A.C.I

Defensive Publications Series

An automated system that derives a technical result can verify that the result is correct and cannot, by the same means, verify that it is new. Proof assistants, unit tests and numerical cross-checks all terminate on correctness. Novelty is not a property of the artifact; it is a property of the artifact's relation to a corpus, and it therefore requires a separate check against a separate object. This disclosure describes a method for performing that second check, the canonicalization step that makes it possible, and the corpus-side conditions under which it works. The method was derived from a measured …

The Unified System Resampling Manifold: Bridging September 2026 Experimental Crises Via Substrate Phase Residue And Conformal Extension Loops, Christopher L. Eckes Sep 2026

The Unified System Resampling Manifold: Bridging September 2026 Experimental Crises Via Substrate Phase Residue And Conformal Extension Loops, Christopher L. Eckes

Defensive Publications Series

This paper formalizes Paper 155 to construct a rigorous cross-disciplinary bridge between five discrete breakthrough vectors observed in early September 2026: (1) the massive multi-agent AI swarm mapping of the Navier-Stokes smooth existence problem, (2) macroscopic quantum gravity atomic superposition measurements, (3) sub-Landauer limit magnetic memory switching states, (4) synthetic protein self-assembly on van der Waals substrates, and (5) the direct experimental confirmation of the atomic Migdal Effect. Rather than treating these milestones as disconnected successes of competing models, we deploy the Dimensionally Extended Holographic Projection (DEHP) model to show they are parallel observable consequences of a single underlying architecture: …

Resolution Of The Grb 221009a Anomaly Via Conformal Metric-Shift Mechanics, Continuous Vacuum Strain, And High-Frequency Surface Acoustic Streaming Boundary Layer Modulation, Christopher L. Eckes

Defensive Publications Series

This paper formalizes Paper 154 within the Unified Cosmological Substrate Equations (UCSE) and Dimensionally Extended Holographic Projection (DEHP) frameworks to resolve the dual anomalies of the 300-TeV photon detected from gamma-ray burst GRB 221009A. Standard 3D physics requires ad-hoc, untestable additions—such as axion-like particles (ALPs) and Lorentz Invariance Violation (LIV)—to account for why this extreme energy packet survived a 2-billion-light-year transit through intergalactic starlight and arrived one hour later than its lower-energy counterparts.

By stripping away modern academic tribalism and separating the foundational 2D phase fluid substrate (z=0) from emergent 3D geometric projections (z>0), we prove that the 300-TeV …

Hover-Sign Gating Of Bluetooth Low Latency Link Posture On Wearables, Vadlamudi Venkata Girish Sep 2026

Hover-Sign Gating Of Bluetooth Low Latency Link Posture On Wearables, Vadlamudi Venkata Girish

Defensive Publications Series

Wrist-worn wearable devices, such as smartwatches and fitness trackers, with an always-on display (AOD) often connect to other devices via a wireless link or radio connection, using sleep schedules to save energy. However, this causes a noticeable lag when a user touches the screen. At the same time, accidental brushes from clothing can trigger false alarms that drain the battery if the device wakes up too often. This publication describes techniques to optimize latency and power consumption by utilizing an always-on (AON) capacitive hover front-end or touchless gesture detection sensor that intelligently drives low-power wireless communication protocol (e.g., Bluetooth Low …

Host‑To‑Fabric Context Switching Through Sideband Signaling And Wave‑Propagated Reconfiguration Of A Coarse‑Grained Reconfigurable Array, Jonathon Murphy Sep 2026

Host‑To‑Fabric Context Switching Through Sideband Signaling And Wave‑Propagated Reconfiguration Of A Coarse‑Grained Reconfigurable Array, Jonathon Murphy

Defensive Publications Series

Reconfiguring a hardware accelerator through an operating system (OS) commonly costs microseconds, because kernel drivers, thread scheduling, and register‑level writes sit between the requesting program and the hardware.  This disclosure describes a system in which a compiler backend embeds routing configurations in a metadata segment of an executable and an OS‑bypass bootstrapper maps those configurations and a doorbell into user space.  A sideband control plane then carries a switch trigger to a reconfigurable co‑processor without a system call or an interrupt.  Shadow configuration planes, resident at each routing node ahead of use, enable a context switch to travel across the …

Routing Congestion Mitigation Via Hotspot Root Cause Classification And Timing-Aware Engineering Change Orders In A Reinforcement Learning Loop, Kishore R Sep 2026

Routing Congestion Mitigation Via Hotspot Root Cause Classification And Timing-Aware Engineering Change Orders In A Reinforcement Learning Loop, Kishore R

Defensive Publications Series

Physical design flows for a system on a chip (SoC) commonly resolve routing congestion with uniform placement or routing blockages.  Such blockages can waste floorplan area and degrade timing on paths holding no spare slack.  This publication presents a congestion mitigation method that resolves each congestion hotspot into one of three physical root causes and generates an engineering change order (ECO) matched to the cause found.  A slack test protects timing, so a net with negative slack keeps a direct route while a clock latency adjustment borrows margin from a neighboring pipeline stage.  Generated directives compile into a variable file …

Automated Clock Sink Load Balancing Across Multi-Tap H-Tree Regions Via Adaptive Block Coordinate Descent, Kishore R Sep 2026

Automated Clock Sink Load Balancing Across Multi-Tap H-Tree Regions Via Adaptive Block Coordinate Descent, Kishore R

Defensive Publications Series

Clock tree synthesis for a system on a chip can distribute a clock signal through an H-tree that feeds several tap regions.  Balanced timing calls for each rectilinear clock region to carry a comparable share of a load product formed from total distance and sink capacitance.  Reaching that balance over a non-binary grid has historically consumed hours of manual trial and error, in part because live queries against a physical design database respond slowly.  To address these limitations disclosed is a method that caches sink coordinates and capacitance values in memory, anchors a two-by-two base grid, and injects supplemental boundary …

The Writing Process In The Modern Digital Age: A College Student's Perspective, Adil Shahid Sep 2026

The Writing Process In The Modern Digital Age: A College Student's Perspective, Adil Shahid

Undercurrents: A Journal of Undergraduate Student Composition

Adil is a Communications major living in Fall River, Massachusetts. Adil enjoys writing and reading, and for a long time he kept a daily journal where he vented about his days to the blank pages. He feels that many students his age have lost touch with writing and reading simply because schoolwork has tainted their views of it. He hopes “that people do not lose sight of their creative outlets and passions and hold on to them dearly.” Adil and his classmates created a survey about student writing habits because they felt it was “important to see where other peers …

Dynamic And Statistical Analysis Of A Three-Phase Induction Motor Under Stator Resistance And Rotor Inertia Variations Using Matlab/Simulink, Ayodeji Joseph Akinremi, Ignatius Kema Okakwu, Ayodeji Akinsoji Okubanjo Sep 2026

Dynamic And Statistical Analysis Of A Three-Phase Induction Motor Under Stator Resistance And Rotor Inertia Variations Using Matlab/Simulink, Ayodeji Joseph Akinremi, Ignatius Kema Okakwu, Ayodeji Akinsoji Okubanjo

Engineering and Technology Journal

Three-phase induction motors are widely used in industrial applications, and they are the backbone and driving force of modern manufacturing and production lines, owing to their robustness, reliability, and low maintenance requirements. However, variations in machine parameters such as electrical or mechanical parameters caused by thermal effects, machine lifespan or tolerances, operational conditions, or aging could significantly affect dynamic performance. This study examined the effects of varying stator resistance and rotor inertia using dynamic and statistical investigation of a three-phase induction motor in MATLAB/Simulink, analysed in the stationary reference frame. The dynamic performance was evaluated based on peak starting current, …

Engineering and Technology Journal

Sports prosthetic feet reinforced with natural and synthetic fibers offer a promising solution for developing lightweight, cost-effective, and sustainable biomedical components. In this study, epoxy-based composite laminates reinforced with Hemp, Sisal, and Bamboo fibers were fabricated for potential sports prosthetic foot applications. Different reinforcement configurations (3, 6, 9, and 12 plies) were investigated, while hybrid laminates were produced by incorporating three carbon fiber layers to enhance overall performance. The fabricated composites were evaluated in terms of density, water absorption, fiber volume fraction, hardness, and microstructural characteristics using scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
The results demonstrated that increasing the number of reinforcement …

Experimental Investigation Of Seismic Bending Moment Amplification In Pile Groups Embedded In Layered Clay, Hind Nadhum Al Salami, Saad F. A. Al-Wakil, Ahmed Majeed Ali Sep 2026

Experimental Investigation Of Seismic Bending Moment Amplification In Pile Groups Embedded In Layered Clay, Hind Nadhum Al Salami, Saad F. A. Al-Wakil, Ahmed Majeed Ali

Engineering and Technology Journal

This study experimentally investigates the seismic bending-moment response of a five-pile group embedded in layered cohesive soil comprising soft clay overlying stiff clay. A series of 1-g shaking-table tests was conducted using a 0.8 × 0.6 × 0.84 m laminar shear box and a 1:50-scale physical model to examine the effects of seismic intensity, pile spacing, pile position, and soil condition. Two excitation levels (0.10g and 0.47g), two pile spacings (3D and 5D), and homogeneous and layered clay profiles were investigated. The results showed that increasing the excitation intensity generally increased the bending-moment response, with the magnitude of the increase …

From Data To Decision-Making: The Role Of Local Digital Twins In Cross-Domain Management Within Municipalities – A Research-In-Progress Study In Veenendaal, Diana M.E. Boekman, Koen Smit, Guido Ongena, Rob Peters Sep 2026

From Data To Decision-Making: The Role Of Local Digital Twins In Cross-Domain Management Within Municipalities – A Research-In-Progress Study In Veenendaal, Diana M.E. Boekman, Koen Smit, Guido Ongena, Rob Peters

Communications of the IIMA

Municipalities are facing increasingly complex, interconnected challenges in areas like housing, climate adaptation, mobility, and social policy. Local Digital Twins (LDTs) are seen as a promising tool to make this complexity more understandable and support decision-making. At the same time, both literature and practice show that few initiatives get past the pilot phase, even though getting through that phase is essential for successful long-term adoption.

This paper presents a research-in-progress study on the development and application of an implementation method for LDT technology within the municipality of Veenendaal, based on human values rather than driven by technological possibilities. Based on …

A Novel Entropy Based Maintainability Measurement Algorithm For Java Source Code., Remi M. Yusuf Mr, Md Shadab Mashuk, Julian Bass Sep 2026

A Novel Entropy Based Maintainability Measurement Algorithm For Java Source Code., Remi M. Yusuf Mr, Md Shadab Mashuk, Julian Bass

Communications of the IIMA

Software metrics play a central role in assessing and managing the quality of software systems providing quantitative insights into attributes such as complexity, reliability, rigidity, modifiability and maintainability. Among these, maintainability is particularly critical, as it directly influences the ease of system evolution, long-term sustainability, and overall cost effectiveness. Despite the widespread use of metric-based maintainability measurement algorithms, capturing a value that reflects the maintainability situation of software source code remains a challenging task, especially in the presence of design deficiencies such as code smells. To measure changes in maintainability, this study experimentaly characterises the relationship between code smells and …

The Fool- Proofing Design For Paper Loading Enhances The User Experience, Hp Inc Sep 2026

The Fool- Proofing Design For Paper Loading Enhances The User Experience, Hp Inc

Defensive Publications Series

This invention introduces a mechanical fool-proofing system for printer paper loading that improves user experience and reduces paper feed failures caused by incorrect width guide positioning. The system integrates a blocking feature into the movable width adjuster and a corresponding guide slot within the input tray. When the width adjuster is correctly aligned with the selected media size, paper can be fully loaded and printing proceeds normally. When the adjuster is incorrectly positioned, the blocking feature interferes with the paper loading path, preventing full media insertion and providing immediate visual and mechanical feedback to the user. Unlike conventional solutions that …

Loci: A Heat-Decaying, Goal-Conditioned Memory Architecture For Long-Horizon Ai Agents — With Imagination Engine, Circuit Breaker For Recursive Rumination Prevention, And The First Documented Case Of Sustained Human-Ai Co-Invention Via Persistent Memory, Arko Sanyal, Independent Research Sep 2026

Loci: A Heat-Decaying, Goal-Conditioned Memory Architecture For Long-Horizon Ai Agents — With Imagination Engine, Circuit Breaker For Recursive Rumination Prevention, And The First Documented Case Of Sustained Human-Ai Co-Invention Via Persistent Memory, Arko Sanyal, Independent Research

Defensive Publications Series

AI agents fail over time for three reasons: their memory fills with stale history, they re-process the same goals in loops, and injected information corrupts what they know. LOCI solves all three. LOCI assigns every memory fact a heat score that decays over time by tier — critical facts survive 30 days, routine facts 3 days, nothing is ever deleted. Facts are placed across hardware tiers: the most important live in GPU memory during inference, the rest wait in RAM or on disk until needed. When an agent's goal changes, the decay rates shift — facts relevant to the current …
