Challenging The Standard: A Case Report Of Postpartum Rehabilitation Prior To Return To High-Intensity Functional Training, Aly Matejka

Journal of Sports Medicine and Allied Health Sciences: Official Journal of the Ohio Athletic Trainers Association

OBJECTIVE Postpartum athletes frequently attempt to return to high-intensity training without graded rehabilitation of the deep core and pelvic floor complex, contributing to urinary incontinence, impaired load transfer, unresolved diastasis recti, and decreased performance capacity. Despite increasing participation of postpartum individuals in high-load functional training, there is limited applied literature outlining structured, criterion-based return-to-exercise progressions that address breathing mechanics, pelvic floor function, and force development prior to reintroduction of impact and resistance training. This case report describes the implementation of a 15-week postpartum rehabilitation and return-to-training protocol designed to restore neuromuscular control, muscular endurance and strength, and impact tolerance prior …

Spin Coating Thin Films Of Zinc Oxide, Micah Byre May 2026

Spin Coating Thin Films Of Zinc Oxide, Micah Byre

2026 Symposium

Thin films are a part of semiconductor devices and electronics we use everyday. There are many methods of depositing thin films on substrates and one of the easiest and cost effective is spin coating. Compared to other conventional deposition methods such as plasma enhanced chemical vapor (PECVD),electroplating, pulsed laser deposition (PLD), and others, spin coating does not require expensive equipment or a vacuum system. In this study, thin films of zinc oxide were deposited on glass substrates via spin coating under varying processing conditions. These films were then imaged in a scanning electron microscope to investigate correlations between processing conditions …

University of Bisha Journal for Educational Sciences

This study examined the structural model of the relationships between the Big Five personality traits and sports fanaticism among King Abdulaziz University students and identified the prevalence of fanaticism. The descriptive-analytical method with a structural equation model (SEM) was employed. The sample consisted of 470 students (217 males, 253 females) selected randomly. Instruments used were the Big Five Inventory (BFI), translated by the researcher (2024) and based on John, Naumann, & Soto (2008), and Harez’s (2014) short Sports Fanaticism Scale. Results indicated that 23.11% of females and 28.37% of males were classified as sports fanatics. Findings supported the first proposed …

Timing Periodic Memory Maintenance Operations Using Dram Refresh Signals, Anirban Majumder, Akshay Sharma, Pandithurai Sangaiyah May 2026

Timing Periodic Memory Maintenance Operations Using Dram Refresh Signals, Anirban Majumder, Akshay Sharma, Pandithurai Sangaiyah

Defensive Publications Series

Memory controllers perform periodic maintenance and training operations to preserve data integrity and link reliability.  Operations (e.g., temperature sensor polling, bus training, calibration, drift compensation) occur at intervals ranging from 1 to 100 milliseconds.  Implementing these timings with counters may increase area and leakage power.  To address this, a disclosed method leverages periodic DRAM refresh events as a clock source for timing maintenance tasks. A down counter decrements each time a refresh signal is detected; upon reaching zero, the controller triggers the target maintenance operation and reloads the counter from a register. By utilizing the inherent periodicity of refresh cycles, …

Generating Geospatial Visualizations Using Generative Artificial Intelligence, Carsten Isert, Manuel Bertrand Cabral, Simon Lynen, Matthew Strosnick, Michelina Mary Galligan Pallone May 2026

Generating Geospatial Visualizations Using Generative Artificial Intelligence, Carsten Isert, Manuel Bertrand Cabral, Simon Lynen, Matthew Strosnick, Michelina Mary Galligan Pallone

Defensive Publications Series

This disclosure describes systems and methods for generating geometric details for digital maps. Some existing cartographic rendering systems may rely on interpolation from schematic data, which can result in visual inaccuracies when representing certain geographic features. The described technology can utilize generative artificial intelligence models to generate geometric primitives, such as polygons and polylines, that represent fine-grained map details. These models can be conditioned on both semantic map data and real-world geospatial data, for example, aerial or ground-level imagery. By generating vector graphics for map features and storing them in a discrete presentation layer, this approach can facilitate the creation …

Edge-Computed Dynamic Licensing Using Generative Perception And Agentic Resource Settlement, Nikhil Kumar May 2026

Edge-Computed Dynamic Licensing Using Generative Perception And Agentic Resource Settlement, Nikhil Kumar

Defensive Publications Series

Some digital rights management systems can employ static, user-based licenses that may not fully account for dynamic viewing environments, such as the number of viewers present. An edge computed system can operate locally on a client device, for example, a smartphone, a smart television, or a wearable device. The system may utilize a generative perception engine to analyze multi-modal sensor data, which can generate an anonymized textual description of the viewing scene and perform liveness detection. A dynamic smart contract engine can then synthesize a machine-readable session license based on this real-time contextual information. An autonomous agentic settlement system may …

Digging Deep Into Curation: A Guide To Creating A Local Fossil Museum, Syd Joheim, René Shroat-Lewis

Research and Creative Works Expo

In Arkansas, the dissemination of educational content related to evolution and natural history is often constrained by prevailing cultural dynamics. This has resulted in a significant gap in the exposure of primary and secondary school students to foundational concepts in natural history and physical sciences. Even the state’s most popular science and history museums often intentionally exclude exhibits that risk upsetting a large portion of their visitors, further exacerbating the issue. As a consequence, many children do not receive proper education on natural history and physical sciences.  To address this educational deficiency, researchers identified and cataloged specimens from a collection …
