Characterizing Stiffness Dynamics Of Normal And Malignant Breast Spheroids Using Brillouin Microscopy, Razanne Rafat Zaghloul, Karlin Hilai, Chenjun Shi, Jitao Zhang
Medical Student Research Symposium
Background: Breast cancer progression and metastasis are closely linked to alterations in the mechanical properties of tumor cells and their microenvironment. Softer, more deformable cells are often associated with higher metastatic potential. While atomic force microscopy (AFM) is the current gold standard for mechanical characterization, it is limited to surface measurements and can damage 3D cultures. It remains unclear how the mechanical properties evolve over time in normal versus malignant spheroids. This study utilizes Brillouin light-scattering microscopy, a non-contact and label-free optical technique, to assess stiffness changes in normal and malignant breast epithelial spheroids over time. Understanding these mechanical signatures …

The current generation of personalization systems is fundamentally constrained by a centralized representational paradigm in which users are reduced to static behavioral embeddings owned and monetized by platform operators. Existing recommender architectures infer preference vectors from fragmented interaction telemetry and optimize engagement through increasingly opaque reinforcement pipelines. Such systems exhibit severe deficiencies in epistemic continuity, user sovereignty, contextual cognition, longitudinal identity fidelity, and privacy-preserving personalization. This paper introduces Federated Cognitive Twins (FCT), a next-generation computational architecture for continuously evolving, cryptographically sovereign, locally anchored cognitive simulations representing human behavioral dynamics, ethical priors, attentional signatures, learning topology, persuasion resistance characteristics, trust propagation …

Technical Disclosure: Arachne Core Polymer Interposer (Rev-2026), Michael Victor Caldwell Mr.
Defensive Publications Series
This disclosure presents a high-thermal-conductivity polymer interposer for chiplet-based electronic packaging, utilizing a pre-aligned Dyneema SK78 ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) film within a modified low-temperature-curing cyanate ester resin matrix. To overcome the thermal processing limitations of conventional UHMWPE, this design employs a 15% volume fraction of sub-micron boron nitride (BN) dopants and a specialized ultraviolet (UV) radical cross-linking protocol, enabling fabrication at a maximum temperature of $105^\circ\text{C}–110^\circ\text{C}$. This avoids the structural relaxation and melting threshold of the UHMWPE fibers. The resulting composite achieves an effective in-plane thermal conductivity ($K_{eff}$) of $22.4\text{ W/mK}$ and a cross-plane conductivity of $2.1\text{ W/mK}$, …

astrophysics. It is asserted that the specific pattern of features in the text — exhaustive counts
of beings and objects, durations of cycles, structural relations and ordering, combined with the
conspicuous absence of absolute distances or sizes — is the data pattern that would be
produced by …

Goodness-Of-Fit Test For The Kumaraswamy Distribution Via Energy Distance Approach With Applications To Real Data, Joseph Njuki, Thomas Gilbert
Goodness-Of-Fit Test For The Kumaraswamy Distribution Via Energy Distance Approach With Applications To Real Data, Joseph Njuki, Thomas Gilbert
Mathematics and Statistics
In this article, we develop a goodness-of-fit test for the Kumaraswamy distribution based on energy statistics. Due to the availability of its quantile (inverse) function, the Kumaraswamy distribution has been shown to be the preferred alternative to the Beta distribution, since both have bounded support in the (0,1) interval. The proposed test procedure is simple and more powerful against general alternatives. Under different settings, simulations show that the proposed test is capable of being well controlled for any given significance (nominal) levels. In terms of power comparisons, the proposed test outperforms other existing methods in different settings. We then apply …
