Hybrid Honey Badger Algorithm With Artificial Neural Network(Hba-Ann)For Website Phishing Detection, Muhammad Arif Mohamad, Muhammad Aliif Ahmad, Zuriani Mustaffa
Iraqi Journal for Computer Science and Mathematics
Phishing is a sort of cyberattack that refers to the practice of fabricating fake websites that imitate authentic websites in order to trick users into disclosing private information. Identifying these fake sites is challenging due to their deceptive nature as they often mimic legitimate websites, making it difficult for users to distinguish between the real and fake ones. Artificial Neural Network (ANN) is one popular method for website phishing detection. ANN is capable of detecting phishing websites by identifying patterns and characteristics connected to phishing websites through a network training phase. Technically, in the network training phase of ANN, neurons …

Adaptive Heterogeneity Index Cloudlet Scheduler For Variable Workload And Virtual Machine Configuration, D Gritto, P Muthulakshmi
Iraqi Journal for Computer Science and Mathematics
Cloud environments often exhibit varying levels of heterogeneity arising from the diverse characteristics of cloudlets and virtual machines. This research paper focuses on addressing this heterogeneity and proposes two scheduling algorithms: the Variance Managed Heuristic Scheduler (VMHS) and theAdaptive Heterogeneity Index Cloudlet Scheduler (AHICS). AHICS aims to minimize makespan, virtual machine underutilization, the degree of load imbalance, and the deviation of completion time among virtual machines. AHICS serves as the main scheduler, while VMHS and MaxMin function as sub-schedulers in this proposed work. This multi-objective AHICS scheduling algorithm harnesses the strengths of both schedulers. AHICS adaptively selects either VMHS or …

The Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) is like a tech upgrade that benefits patients by reducing healthcare costs, making medical care more accessible, and improving the quality of treatment. To make IoMT devices smart and capable, they need super-fast 5G support. However, there are security concerns when using IoMT devices that can put a patient's data and privacy at risk. For instance, someone could eavesdrop on your medical data due to weak network access management and data encryption. Many systems use encryption methods to protect data, but these methods often fall short when it comes to the high security standards required …

Members of microbial communities can substantially overlap in substrate use. However, what enables functionally redundant microorganisms to coassemble or even stably coexist remains poorly understood. Here, we show that during unstable successional dynamics on complex, natural organic matter, functionally redundant bacteria can coexist by partitioning low-concentration substrates even though they compete for one simple, dominant substrate. We allowed ocean microbial communities to self-assemble on leachates of the brown seaweed Fucus vesiculosus and then analyzed the competition among 10 taxonomically diverse isolates representing two distinct stages of the succession. All, but two isolates, exhibited an average of 90% ± 6% pairwise …

Kratom (Mitragyna Speciosa) Leaf Ethanol Extract Showed In Vivo Analgesic Activity, Rahmad A. Prasetya, Tri P. L Sidarwati
Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy Research
Analgesic drugs like morphine and other opioids exhibit several harmful effects. Thus, the exploration of a new and safer analgesic drug is necessary. Utilizing Indonesia's biodiversity richness, medicinal plants can serve as an alternative source of novel analgesic drugs. Here, we show the analgesic activity of Kratom (Mitragyna speciosa) leaf ethanol extract (KE) in formaldehyde-induced rat (Rattus norvegicus) models. The effect of KE was examined by observing the duration of spontaneous nociceptive behavior such as paw licking or limp leg. The result showed that rats treated with 70 mg/kg KE demonstrated significantly (p<0.01) decreased nociceptive behavior compared to those receiving vehicles. However, a higher KE dose (210 mg/kg) failed to increase the analgesic effect and showed a slight reduction (not significant) compared to the control group. These findings proved that kratom leaf ethanol extract has the potential to alleviate painful conditions.

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a group of metabolic illnesses identified by elevated blood glucose levels. The glycated hemoglobin (HbA1C) test is used to evaluate a person’s control of their blood glucose levels. According to a recent study, mHealth interventions may be particularly helpful for assisting patients with diabetes mellitus to self-monitor their status on their HbA1c level. Therefore, this systematic review aims to provide an overview of how mHealth affects individuals with diabetes mellitus, concentrating on HbA1c evaluation. A systematic review was conducted by reviewing the PubMed, Google Scholar, and Mendeley databases for randomized control trials published between February 2017 …
Positive Effects Of Conservative Religion On The Mental Health Of Sexual Minorities, Jaxon Jessup
Positive Effects Of Conservative Religion On The Mental Health Of Sexual Minorities, Jaxon Jessup
Student Works
Sexual minorities often struggle to navigate their sexuality and conservative religious beliefs. Conservative religion is often thought to be toxic for sexual minorities because of the emphasis on traditional marriage (Anderton et al., 2012), and often, the LGBT community will reject sexual minorities that choose to remain in religion (O'Brien, 2007). Conservative religion, however, provides many resources that could benefit sexual (and other) minorities. Religion can help create a sense of identity through teachings and community involvement that may strengthen positive self-perception; it may also create a sense of belonging within a supportive community, especially when individuals are raised among …

The Auger Engineering Radio Array (AERA), part of the Pierre Auger Observatory, is currently the largest array of radio antenna stations deployed for the detection of cosmic rays, spanning an area of 17 km2 with 153 radio stations. It detects the radio emission of extensive air showers produced by cosmic rays in the 30-80 MHz band. Here, we report the AERA measurements of the depth of the shower maximum (Xmax), a probe for mass composition, at cosmic-ray energies between 1017.5 and 1018.8 eV, which show agreement with earlier measurements with the fluorescence technique at the Pierre Auger Observatory. We show …

We show, for the first time, radio measurements of the depth of shower maximum (Xmax) of air showers induced by cosmic rays that are compared to measurements of the established fluorescence method at the same location. Using measurements at the Pierre Auger Observatory we show full compatibility between our radio and the previously published fluorescence dataset, and between a subset of air showers observed simultaneously with both radio and fluorescence techniques, a measurement setup unique to the Pierre Auger Observatory. Furthermore, we show radio Xmax resolution as a function of energy and demonstrate the ability to make competitive high-resolution Xmax …

Clinical use of polymeric scaffolds for tissue engineering often suffers from their inability to promote strong cellular interactions. Functionalization with biomolecules may improve outcomes; however, current functionalization approaches using covalent chemistry or physical adsorption can lead to loss of biomolecule bioactivity. Here, we demonstrate a novel bottom-up approach for enhancing the bioactivity of poly (l-lactic acid) electro spun scaffolds though interfacial coassembly of protein payloads with silk fibroin into nano thin coatings. In our approach, protein payloads are first added into an aqueous solution with Bombyx mori-derived silk fibroin. Phosphate anions are then added to trigger coassembly of the payload …

The intuitive interaction capabilities of augmented reality make it ideal for solving complex 3D problems that require complex spatial representations, which is key for astrodynamics and space mission planning. By implementing common and complex orbital mechanics algorithms in augmented reality, a hands-on method for designing orbit solutions and spacecraft missions is created. This effort explores the aforementioned implementation with the Microsoft Hololens 2 as well as its applications in industry and academia. Furthermore, a human-centered design process and study are utilized to ensure the tool is user-friendly while maintaining accuracy and applicability to higher-fidelity problems.

The opposing forces of gene flow and isolation are two major processes shaping genetic diversity. Understanding how these vary across space and time is necessary to identify the environmental features that promote diversification. The detection of considerable geographic structure in taxa from the arid Nearctic has prompted research into the drivers of isolation in the region. Several geographic features have been proposed as barriers to gene flow, including the Colorado River, Western Continental Divide, and a hypothetical Mid-Peninsular Seaway in Baja California. However, recent studies suggest that the role of barriers in genetic differentiation may have been overestimated when compared …

Electrical Tuning Of Quantum Light Emitters In Hbn For Free Space And Telecom Optical Bands, Akbar Basha Dhu-Al Shaik, Penchalaiah Palla, David Jenkins
School of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics
Quantum light emitters (also known as single photon emitters) are known to be the heart of quantum information technologies. Irrespective of possessing ideal single photon emitter properties, quantum emitters in 2-D hBN defect structures, exhibit constrained quantum light emission within the 300–700 nm range. However, this emission range cannot fully satisfy the needs of an efficient quantum communication applications such as quantum key distribution (QKD), which demands the quantum light emission in fiber optic telecom wavelength bands (from 1260 to 1625 nm) and the free space optical (FSO) (UV-C-solar blind band—100 to 280 nm) wavelength ranges. Hence, there is a …

Background: Advancements in digital health technologies (DHTs) mean people are increasingly recording and managing personal health data. As observed during the COVID-19 pandemic, sharing of such data may provide unrivalled opportunities in advancing our understanding of conditions otherwise poorly understood, including rare conditions. Methods: A semi-structured focus group (n=25) explored perspectives and experiences of sharing health data among those with a group of rare haematological conditions, sickle cell disorder (SCD). The focus group explored (I) what ‘feeling well’ looks like; (II) how this could be monitored using DHTs; (III) which data healthcare professionals (HCPs) should pay greater attention to and; …
History In The Margins: Paratextual Notes In Codex Koridethi (Θ 038), Jonathan Campbell
History In The Margins: Paratextual Notes In Codex Koridethi (Θ 038), Jonathan Campbell
Andrews University Seminary Studies (AUSS)
In this article I examine the paratextual features of the ninth- century four-Gospel manuscript Codex Koridethi (Θ 038). I argue that a thorough study of this manuscript’s paratextual features gives fascinating insight into its history. There are thirty-three marginal notes contained within this manuscript, nine of which are in Greek, and twenty-four in Georgian. These notes are unusual because they do not relate to the biblical text. Instead, they attest to various prayers, endowments, and laws which the community found important enough to record in this holy book. The notes are broken down into three categories. First, several give historical …

Since the inception of operations research, linear programming has received the attention of researchers in this field due to the many areas of its use. The focus was on the methods used to find the optimal solution for linear models. The direct simplex method, with its three basic stages, begins by writing the linear model in standard form and then finding a basic solution that is improved according to the simplex steps until We get the optimal solution, but we encounter many linear models that do not give us a basic solution after we put it in a standard form, …

Neutrosophic Systems with Applications
As a generalization of intuitionistic fuzzy sets, single-valued neutrosophic sets have certain advantages in solving indeterminate and inconsistent information. In this paper, we study the fuzzy inference full implication method based on single-valued neutrosophic t-representable t-norm. Firstly, single-valued neutrosophic fuzzy inference triple I principles for fuzzy modus ponens and fuzzy modus tollens are given. Then, single-valued neutrosophic R-type triple I solutions for FMP and FMT are given. Finally, the robustness of the full implication triple I method based on the left-continuous single-valued neutrosophic t-representable t-norm is investigated. As a special case of the main results, the sensitivity of full implication …
