The Significance Of Serum Ca15-3 And Haematological Materials In The Diagnosis And Prognosis Of Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Of The Breast, Nooralhuda Jalil
Al-Qadisiyah Medical Journal
Background: The other most prevalent malignancy amongst females is breast tumour. A mammary tumour is a multi-step process involving different cell categories, challenging to avoid internationally. Solitary of the finest methods to prevent mammary tumours is by initial identification. Due to initial recognition, the 5-year comparative persistence ratio for individuals with breast tumours is 80% in numerous developed countries. Together the appreciation of mammary tumours and the construction of avoidance measures have progressed considerably in the previous ten years.

Correlation Of Hepcidin With Hemoglobin And Iron Parameters In Iraqi Patients With Beta -Thalassemia Major, Sameh Nahi, Ferdous Jabir
Al-Qadisiyah Medical Journal
Background: Thalassemia is characterized by genetic abnormalities in the synthesis of hemoglobin, leading to a decrease or missing production of one or more in the globin chains. Consequently, this disrupts the synthesis of hemoglobin molecules, resulting in anemia, which is a prominent manifestation of thalassemia. Iron is an essential element for cellular health and is involved in various functions, including oxygen transportation, biomolecule synthesis, respiration, and homeostasis. Hepcidin, a low molecular weight peptide produced in the liver, plays a crucial role in regulating iron homeostasis. Objectives: Study the correlation of Hepcidin with Hemoglobin, Ferritin, and Iron Parameters in Patients with …

Results: Mean knowledge score was 6.48+2.66, attitude score was 5.28+2.07 and practice score was 4.62+1.49. males showed significantly higher KAP scores than females (P<0.001). Patients with higher significant education had the highest knowlegde score in comparison with those with secondary eduction; the difference was statistically highly significant (P<0.001). Patients living in urban areas showed significantly higher mean score than those living in rural areas (P<0.001). Patients who had jobs experienced a significantly higher knowledge score than those without job (P<0.001). Smoker patients had significantly higher KAP scores than non-smoker patients (P<0.001). Conclusion: The study concluded that low/ moderate knowledge, attitude and practice of diabetes among the diabetic patients, which need more effort and role to be played by clinical pharmacist to fulfill this gap.

Background: The present investigation aims to study the prevalence rate and clinical characteristics of celiac disease(CD)among Iraqi children with type1 diabetes mellitus using a combination of the most sensitive and specific screening serologic tests anti-tissue transglutaminase antibodies IgA,IgG(tTG)and anti-gliaden antibodies IgA,IgG(AGA) and to determine the lower cut-off value of anti-tTG and anti-AGA level that best predicts celiac disease in patient with type1 diabetes. Materials: Two patient groups have investigated (each to NO =30) in this study one with celiac disease and the other with type1 diabetes mellitus compared to third group of apparently healthy control group of 20 individuals. patient …

Background: Mycoplasma spp and Ureaplasma spp are unique microbes in they lack a cell wall and cause genitourinary tract infections ,these organisms are considered an intracellular parasites and difficult to cultivate in routine media due to the complexity of their nutritional requirements so , the molecular detection and identify these microorganisms by Real-Time PCR due to cost, time, reliability, specificity, and sensitivity.Aim of study : To detect and differentiate Mycoplasma hominis and Ureaplasma urealyticum isolates from patients with urethritis by Real-Time PCR.Methods: Ureathral swabs collected from 60 sexual active men from December 2012 to May 2013 who attending to AL- …
