The potential and threat of digital tools to achieve health equity has been highlighted for over a decade, but the success of achieving equitable access to health technologies remains challenging. Our paper addresses renewed concerns regarding equity in digital health access that were deepened during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our viewpoint is that (1) digital health tools have the potential to improve health equity if equitable access is achieved, and (2) improving access and equity in digital health can be strengthened by considering behavioral science-based strategies embedded in all phases of tool development. Using behavioral, equity, and access frameworks allowed for …
Overview On The Most Common Microbial Causative Agents Of Diarrhea, Wafaa Ayad Al-Nuaimy, Dhay A. Azeez
Overview On The Most Common Microbial Causative Agents Of Diarrhea, Wafaa Ayad Al-Nuaimy, Dhay A. Azeez
Muthanna Medical Journal
In all parts of the world and among all age groups, diarrhea is a significant cause of morbidity and mortality. However, compared to high-income countries, low-income countries have fewer resources and a less resilient infrastructure, which makes them more susceptible to an unfair share of diarrheal morbidity and mortality. The word "diarrhea" originates from the Greek word "dia rEo," referring to "flow through." When the volume of colonic fluid crosses this segment's absorptive capacity due to decreased absorption and/or increased secretion, diarrhea achievements. In infectious diarrheas, the abnormal function is brought about by microorganisms that colonize the intestinal mucosa and …
Parental Attitudes Toward Infant Sleep In The First Year Of Life: A Systems Framework, Shayna Sarah Zargari
Parental Attitudes Toward Infant Sleep In The First Year Of Life: A Systems Framework, Shayna Sarah Zargari
ETD Collection
Previous research indicates that infant sleep is a complex topic for parents to navigate. Parents often face exhaustion and stress in putting their infants to sleep and may try different methods of encouraging them to sleep independently. Utilizing Uri Bronfebrenner’s Ecological Systems Theory (1979), this study examines parental background (e.g., occupation, race, religion, socioeconomic status) in relation to attitudes and interventions towards infant sleep. This research also considers where and how parents receive information regarding infant sleep and what supports parents rely on in navigating their infants’ sleep journeys. From a sample of mothers, this study finds that the macrosystem …

This study aimed to determine a relationship between smoking at home and the incidence of URI in infants. This study was conducted the fourth week of February 2010 until the third week of April 2010 in Kampar District, Indonesia. This analytical study used a case-control design and cluster random sampling. The samples comprised 162 cases and 162 controls, infants aged 6-12 months. The cases were 162 infants aged 6-12 months suffering from URI …

International Review of Humanities Studies
The phenomenon of sharenting refers to the practice of parents, particularly mothers, sharing personal information in the form of text, photos, or videos about their child-rearing experiences and journey to parenthood on social media platforms. Social media, as a space of simulation, is considered to present an idealized version of parenting, showcasing perfect moments and achievements. This paper critically explores how the phenomenon of sharenting, especially by millennial mothers in Indonesia, contributes to the construction of family life representations that underlie parents' adaptation to idealized parenting standards on social media platforms. The paper samples sharenting content from several Instagram accounts …

This project explored the beliefs, attitudes, and knowledge of both parents of infants and primary care providers (PCP) on baby-led weaning. Data were obtained through the use of pre-and post-surveys following the implementation of specific education for parents and PCPs.
Results
The findings from parents who participated would suggest that most parents who …

Tuberculosis (TB) in Indonesia is still a health problem. The TB prevalence in Indonesia ranks second in the world after India in 2023. Regional factors, inadequate healthcare facilities, and limited resources (financial, human, and infrastructure) are challenges requiring innovation to help the government control TB. TB eradication efforts need to be made with a comprehensive and effective approach. One method used is to look at the vast territory of Indonesia, therefore, mapping the TB disease vulnerability is a highly recommended method. The use of a Geographic Information System is expected to help map the TB vulnerability areas in Indonesia. Given …
