This study aimed to identify the attitudes of the Kuwaiti audience towards the performance of the official spokesperson of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health (MOH), during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study was conducted with a convenience sample consisting of 1201 respondents, of which 52.9% were males and 47.1% were females, with an age range of 17-70 years (m=34.78, SD=11.75). Developing natural language processing applications for Arabic must consider the different linguistic characteristics found in speech and translate those characteristics to script in order to reduce computational complexity and therefore reduce the word error rate (WER). Suprasegmental features are fundamental properties of speech that can enhance the performance of many natural speech processing applications. This study considers negation in 47 modern Arabic varieties. The types of negation investigated are standard negation and nonverbal negation. The study reveals that negation in Arabic is undergoing a cycle in addition to the Jespersen’s Cycle, which has already been identified by several studies. In the first stage of this additional cycle, a single negator is used to negate both verbal and non-verbal clauses. In the second stage, this negator is attached to a personal pronoun to negate non-verbal clauses only. Blended learning (BL) is a recent trend among many options that can best fit learners’ needs, regardless of time and place. This study aimed to discover students’ perceptions of BL and the challenges faced by them while using technology. This quantitative study used data gathered from 300 students enrolled in four public universities in the Sindh province of Pakistan. The findings show that students were comfortable with the use of technology, and it has a positive effect on their academic experience. Logicians (i.e. “Al-Mutakalimoun”) utilized various arguments to justify their exegesis position of the Quran text that is different from traditional ancestral scholars. Some of these arguments were regarding cases of belief, especially God’s attributes. This particular argument was based on rejecting the explicit direct meaning when reading the text, claiming that the apparent manifestation is not intended. This led them to manipulate the text to support their interpretation, using what they termed “delegation”.
