Recent years have witnessed renewed interest in how attachment is no longer limited to human figures. Instead, the attachment discourses now also encompass artificial intelligence (AI). Attachment to AI could be caused by a number of factors which could potentially lead to some psychological consequences, hence this new dynamic calls for further in-depth inquiries to understand it better.
To date, no previous study has developed an Indonesian version scale to measure AI attachment that is adequate in terms of its psychometric properties. The primary aim of this study is to demonstrate the adaptation and validation of the attachment to AI …

The Value Of Information Shared By Indonesian Social Media Influencers Living In Germany, Atika Aisyarahmi Munzir
Jurnal Wacana Politik
This article examines the informational value and influence of Indonesian Social Media Influencers (SMIs) in Germany as informal information intermediaries, highlighting how they disseminate knowledge about living in Germany and shape Indonesians' perceptions of educational and employment opportunities abroad. The study adopts a critical narrative literature review combined with reflexive digital observation of publicly available content produced by Indonesian SMIs residing in Germany. The findings suggest that the informational value of SMI content is shaped by three interrelated dimensions: utility, relatability, and credibility. Indonesian SMIs provide practical information about education, employment, migration, culture, and everyday life in Germany, while their …

A Single-Step Plate Method For The Screening Of Xyl-A Mutant Libraries Based On Gene Expression, Bilqees Fatima, Muhammad Mohsin Javed
Journal of Bioresource Management
A single-step plate method is described for the screening of transformants of cloned gene xyl-A encoding xylose isomerase. It is rapid, inexpensive, easy to perform, and more specific, as the selection is based on xyl-A expression level. The crucial composition of the plate medium comprised agar, buffer, nutrients, co-factor, substrate, inducer, antibiotic, and an indicator, i.e., 2, 3, 5-triphenyl tetrazolium chloride (TTC). Transformed cells of E. coli BL21 (DE3) with a plasmid (pET21(a)++xyl-A), were exclusively capable of growing, isomerizing the substrate, and producing deep-red formazan by reducing TTC, whereas the untransformed cells and cells containing a …

Academics need both an overarching policy on Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) use in teaching and learning, yet agency in its application across various disciplines. Clarity on the use of the technology for both students and staff is therefore a challenge and characterised by uncertainty given how its application is still unfamiliar. This research examines the organisational context in which Gen AI is being embraced and was conducted by the digital teaching support functions within an Irish university. Students and staff were surveyed (n=1,746) on various aspects of digital use within their education and workplace, including Gen AI. …

Dynamic Forecasting Of Sovereign Wealth Fund Effects On State-Owned Firm Stocks Using Hybrid Arima–Garch Models, Ananta Hagabean Nasution, Teguh Yudo Wicaksono, Donny Oktavian Syah, Randhy Nugroho
BISNIS & BIROKRASI: Jurnal Ilmu Administrasi dan Organisasi
This study examines the forecasting dynamics of Indonesia's Sovereign Wealth Fund, DANANTARA, on the BUMN-20 Index using a hybrid ARIMA-GARCH model. The establishment of DANANTARA in February 2025 generated mixed reactions among capital market participants, with the Indonesian Stock Exchange suspended trading after share prices declined by more than five percent. Using daily time-series data from June 2018 to August 2026, this study employs a hybrid ARIMA(1,1,3)-GARCH(1,1) framework processed through E-Views 12. The results indicate that the BUMN-20 Index is predominantly driven by broader market movements, as evidenced by the highly significant IHSG return coefficient (β =1.237, p < 0.001). In the mean equation, the DANANTARA announcement and launch events do not produce statistically significant shifts in average returns. However, in the variance equation, the announcement significantly elevated conditional volatility (γ = 0.025, p = 0.009), suggesting heightened market uncertainty. The volatility persistence measure (α + β = 0.952) indicates that shocks to the BUMN-20 Index decay slowly, with a half-life of approximately 14 trading days. The forecasting results suggest a gradually declining trajectory for the index, though this does not imply a causal relationship with DANANTARA. These findings contribute to the literature by demonstrating that the primary channel through which a nascent SWF affects domestic equity markets is volatility rather than returns. The policy implications highlight the importance of for transparent governance and consistent communication in mitigating market uncertainty surrounding DANANTARA's operations.

Youth Participation In Kediri, Indonesia: An Urban Communication Perspective, Nissa C. Adinia, Budi Guntoro, Roso Witjaksono
JURNAL KOMUNIKASI INDONESIA
This article examines how young people in a mid-sized Indonesian city participate in producing the meaning of urban space, and how far a participatory communication intervention succeeds in opening dialogue with city stakeholders. Urban communication scholarship has developed primarily around metropolitan cities in the Global North, while participatory communication research often assumes that facilitated dialogue leads to empowerment. This article addresses both gaps through a Photovoice study conducted in Kediri, East Java, involving 37 young people from three social typologies: pelajar (students), santri (Islamic boarding school-affiliated youth), and pekerja/wirausaha (young workers and entrepreneurs). Drawing on Lefebvre’s spatial triad and Couldry’s …

Journal of Economics and Administrative Sciences
This study examines the effect of Flexible Work Arrangements (FWAs) (flexible scheduling, compressed workweek, and telecommuting) on employee performance among administrative leaders in private universities in Baghdad. Addressing inconsistent findings in prior research regarding whether different forms of workplace flexibility contribute equally to employee performance. Guided by Social Exchange Theory, a quantitative cross-sectional design was employed using data collected from 321 administrative leaders across 15 private universities in Baghdad. Measurement reliability, convergent validity, discriminant validity, and confirmatory factor analysis were assessed using the covariance-based structural equation modeling (CB-SEM) procedure in SmartPLS4. The proposed hypotheses were subsequently tested through structural model …
The Moderating Effect Of Digital Literacy On The Relationship Between Ai Interaction Quality And Consumer Emotional Engagement, Ali Thamer Ali Al-Ibadi
The Moderating Effect Of Digital Literacy On The Relationship Between Ai Interaction Quality And Consumer Emotional Engagement, Ali Thamer Ali Al-Ibadi
Journal of Economics and Administrative Sciences
As artificial Intelligence (AI) is having an increasing influence on the consumer-brand relationship, empirical evidence of the effects of AI-powered real-time communication on emotional brand engagement over time is scarce. Based on the Digital Emotional Brand Engagement (DEBE) model consisting of four outcome dimensions (Affective Engagement, Cognitive Engagement, Behavioral Engagement, Identification, and Emotional Attachment). The study proposes and empirically tests a model of four dimensions of AI interactions (Responsiveness and Availability, Personalization, Conversational Quality, Problem Resolution Efficiency). A descriptive-correlational quantitative design was adopted, and a sample of 400 consumers who had recently used AI-powered customer service was drawn. Multiple regression …

Algorithmic Oversight: Caremark's Fiduciary Framework Applied To Artificial Intelligence, Samar Singh
Political Science and International Relations: Student Scholarship & Creative Works
Artificial intelligence now drives core corporate decision, such as loan approvals and hiring screens, yet corporate boards have largely treated its governance as a management-level policy questions rather than a fiduciary obligation. This paper argues that this framing is mistaken, using Delaware's Caremark doctrine, as refined by Marchand v. Barnhill, In re Boeing, and In re McDonald's. The relevant cases already impose an enforceable duty on boards to actively oversee mission algorithmic systems, and by applying Marchand's mission-critical standard, this paper demonstrates that AI performs core business functions that expose companies to anti-discrimination, consumer protection, and …

Journal of Economics and Administrative Sciences
Iraqi governmental organizations face a persistent governance crisis in which tribal affiliation - rather than merit – influences recruitment, promotion, and resource allocation decisions, yet the quantitative structural impact of this informal institutional logic on organizational performance remains underexamined. This study aims to examine the direct impact of tribal governance on organizational performance in Iraqi ministerial and governmental organizations, and to test the mediating role of HRM practices effectiveness and employee competency, and the moderating role of merit-based management systems in this relationship. A quantitative cross-sectional survey was conducted with 414 managers and senior specialists across Iraqi governmental organizations, using …
