Coffee is a popular drink consumed in Indonesia, especially among people aged 17 until 25 years. Coffee contains thousands of natural chemicals, one of which is caffeine, which has negative impacts on health if consumed in excessive amounts. The purpose of this study is to describe the caffeine-based beverages consumed and sleep quality and to assess the association between caffeine use and sleep quality. This study used a cross-sectional design with 120 respondents who completed a questionnaire about the history of caffeine-based beverage consumption and PSQI sleep quality, PSQI is used to measure the state of sleep which consists of …
Effects Of Stressor Exposure And Locus Coeruleus Opioid Signaling On Coping And Anxiety-Like Behavior In Rats, John Arthur Tkaczynski
Effects Of Stressor Exposure And Locus Coeruleus Opioid Signaling On Coping And Anxiety-Like Behavior In Rats, John Arthur Tkaczynski
Theses and Dissertations
Stress is a physiological state of altered neuroendocrine signaling and heightened indices of behavioral vigilance and arousal in response to threatening stimuli. This project aimed to investigate the adaptations to stress that occur in the noradrenergic locus coeruleus (LC) and how these changes affect stress coping behavior. We began by investigating how adolescent restraint and predator odor stress affects coping when presented with a secondary noxious stimulus in the defensive shock probe burying task one week following stressor exposure, finding that stressed male rats demonstrate a more active coping response and stressed female rats demonstrate a more passive coping response, …

Cddo-Me Attenuates Fibroblast And Macrophage Activation In Limited Cutaneous Systemic Sclerosis, Heetaek Yang, Emily A. Morris, Chen-Yu Wang, Nicole M. Orzechowski, Michael Whitfield, Patricia Pioli
Dartmouth College Master’s Theses
Abstract
Systemic Sclerosis (SSc) is a rare autoimmune disease characterized by multiple-organ involvement and notably by fibrosis. Current therapies for SSc focus on symptom managements and treating specific organ related complications. However, heterogeneous nature of the disease further complicates treatment responses and hinders the development of new therapies. Therefore, there is a critical unmet need for the development of patient-specific therapeutics.
The objectives of this thesis were: (1) to evaluate the therapeutic potential of Bardoxolone Methyl (CDDO-Me) in both SSc fibroblasts and SSc macrophages. To achieve these goals, I utilized both wet-lab analysis tools and computational analysis.
As part of …
Fuzzy-Ahp Based Decision Support System For The Selection Of Optimal Maintenance Strategy For Meter Gauge Railway Infrastructure: A Review, Hamisi J. Maulid
Fuzzy-Ahp Based Decision Support System For The Selection Of Optimal Maintenance Strategy For Meter Gauge Railway Infrastructure: A Review, Hamisi J. Maulid
Tanzania Journal of Engineering and Technology (TJET)
There are many uncertainties and complexities associated with maintaining Meter Gauge Railway (MGR) infrastructure, which calls for a methodical approach to decision-making. The development and application of a fuzzy-AHP-based decision support system (DSS) to select the optimal maintenance strategy for the MGR are presented in this study. The review covers research from 2013 to 2023 and focusses on the use of Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) and Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (Fuzzy-AHP) techniques in railway infrastructure maintenance. To manage the inherent uncertainties and subjective judgements involved in maintenance decision-making, the Fuzzy-AHP methodology combines fuzzy logic with the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). …

Calibration Of Measurement Tools In The Experimental Test Rig For Hydropower Performance Evaluation, Ombeni J. Mdee
Tanzania Journal of Engineering and Technology (TJET)
The demonstration of a typical hydropower plant requires the development of a test rig with the installation of tools to measure the performance parameters. The measurement tools require a calibration process to improve the quality of recorded data. This study involved the calibration of traditional and automated measurement tools connected to the hydropower test rig through an Arduino microprocessor. The automated measurement tools included a pressure transducer, flow meter, digital tachometer, and torque transducer, while traditional measurement tools, including a pressure gauge, concrete water tank, contact tachometer, and force lever arm balance, were connected in the same test rig during …
A Review Of Lithium-Ion Battery Capacity Fade Deceleration At Power Fluctuations In Renewable Energy Systems, Isaac Gwayi
A Review Of Lithium-Ion Battery Capacity Fade Deceleration At Power Fluctuations In Renewable Energy Systems, Isaac Gwayi
Tanzania Journal of Engineering and Technology (TJET)
Application of lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries to store energy in renewable energy systems (RESs) is increasing due to their promising properties. Therefore, it is crucial to understand aging behaviours of Li-ion battery during RES life time as this directly affects cost of energy. Li-ion battery aging can be categorised into calendar aging and cycle aging. Calendar aging depends mainly on temperature and state of charge (SoC). In addition to temperature and SoC, cycle aging depends also on charge and discharge current rates and cut-off voltages. Higher current rates lead to faster Li-ion battery aging. It is necessary to identify appropriate battery …

In assessing the conduct of the University of Florida’s law school leaders, Preston Damsky, Judge John Badalamenti, and the New York Times, I’ll concede that it is darn near impossible for any of us to be objective. But I’d like to contribute to this conversation in a way that at least attempts a degree of objectivity. This comment focuses on the judge turned adjunct professor, but to do so, there is a matter of context.

The Paradoxical Effect: How Destruction Of Religious Buildings In Ukraine Undermined Russian Propaganda Narratives (2022-2024), Oleksandr Kostiuk, Fedir Vlasenko, Vitalii Turenko
Occasional Papers on Religion in Eastern Europe
This research examines the paradoxical relationship between the destruction of religious buildings in Ukraine during the Russian invasion and the effectiveness of Russian propaganda narratives. Using a mixed-methods approach combining statistical data, sociological surveys, and document analysis, we investigate how the systematic targeting of Ukrainian religious sites by Russian forces has produced effects contrary to those likely intended. The research reveals that instead of undermining Ukrainian national identity, the destruction of churches and other religious buildings has catalyzed profound transformations in Ukraine's religious landscape, accelerated the transition of parishes from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) to the Orthodox Church …
