Students' creative thinking can be improved through engaging teaching materials. PBL-based e-modules, which are interactive and student-centered, can address this need. However, teachers at Giovanni Kupang Catholic High School lack such resources. This study developed a PBL-based biology e-module using the Lee and Owens model to enhance creative thinking in Class XI students. Implemented in the 2022/2023 semester, the e-module showed significant improvement (N-gain score of 0.70) with the strongest impact on divergent thinking (0.82). These findings demonstrate the effectiveness of PBL-based e-modules in fostering creative thinking skills in biology education.

Synergistic Enhancement Of The Polychromatic Light Photodetection Properties Of In Doped Cdse-Based Devices Triggered By The Effect Of Substrate Temperature, Ahmed M. El-Mahalawy, S. A. Mansour, Farida M. Mohamed, Mervat Ghonaimy, Ahmed R. Wassel
Nanotechnology Research Centre
This investigation explores the influence of substrate temperature on the photodetection characteristics of indium-doped cadmium selenide (In:CdSe) thin films, addressing a critical gap in understanding how deposition parameters affect the optoelectronic properties of these materials. The study systematically analyzes the effects of substrate temperatures ranging from 30 °C to 250 °C on thermally evaporated In:CdSe films through comprehensive structural and morphological characterization. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) analyses reveal enhanced crystallinity and well-defined nanostructured surface morphology up to 100 °C, with distinct nanorod formations emerging at 200 °C. Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) confirms the selenium-rich …

The rapid digital transformation in education has exacerbated persistent gaps in accessibility, inclusion, and engagement, particularly within STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) disciplines. A critical disconnect exists between the ubiquitous use of digital tools and the comprehension of their underlying principles. This research addresses this gap by developing and studying innovative, hands-on pedagogical strategies designed to democratize technological knowledge. Our project is centered on the design, implementation, and analysis of "The Island of Automatic Sounds" (LISA.26), an artistic sound installation conceived as an interactive "musical island." This environment enables children and families to explore and cocreate music through bodily …

Invitation To Polynomiography Via Chatgpt: For Teachers, Students And Artists, Bahman Kalantari
LASER Journal
Teachers, students, and artists in the United States and abroad who have encountered polynomiography, in lectures, demos, or software, consistently appreciate its educational value and artistic potential. While dedicated polynomiography programs require upkeep as systems evolve, AI chatbots now offer a practical, accessible alternative. This article invites readers to explore polynomiography with ChatGPT, broadening access beyond specialized tools. While the approach will not match the full range or polish of advanced software, it provides a powerful and flexible entry point with many possibilities.
At its core, polynomiography transforms polynomial equations, each encoding a finite set of points in the complex …

Hybrid Machine Learning Technique For Cybersecurity Event Detection, Ashwag Albakri
Hybrid Machine Learning Technique For Cybersecurity Event Detection, Ashwag Albakri
University of Bisha Journal for Basic and Applied Sciences
The use of machine learning algorithms has become essential in the cybersecurity industry. The increasing frequency of government intrusions and malicious actions has made the necessity for strong defenses and protective measures vital. Designing an automated and efficient digital threat detection mechanism is one of the most difficult tasks in network security. This study proposes a cyber-event detection model that effectively forecast cyber-occurrences to resolve this issue. As a result, a hybrid machine learning model using support vector machines (SVM) with random forest (RF) is proposed. The proposed algorithm is termed HS-RF. By identifying and thwarting harmful attacks, the hybrid …
Predicting The Next Trending Hussaini Poems: A Machine Learning Approach Based On Textual And Engagement Features, Elaf Adel Abbas
Predicting The Next Trending Hussaini Poems: A Machine Learning Approach Based On Textual And Engagement Features, Elaf Adel Abbas
AUIQ Technical Engineering Science
Hussaini’s poem videos have garnered substantial viewership on digital platforms; nevertheless, the determinants of why just a select number achieve “trending” status remain inadequately comprehended. This study presents a machine learning approach aimed at forecasting the trending potential of Hussaini poetry videos through the integration of text- and interaction-based variables. A dataset including 270 YouTube videos was generated, encompassing each video’s title and audience engagement parameters, including views, likes, comments, duration, and upload time. Textual attributes were converted using TF-IDF representations, whereas numerical attributes were standardized and amalgamated via a unified ColumnTransformer pipeline. Five machine learning classifiers—Naive Bayes, Logistic Regression, …

The 2017 Merrimack College Mobile Lightboard: Personalized Office-Based Lightboarding On A Shared Mobile Board, Craig Looney, Christopher L. Duston, James Biegel, Manuel A. Carrero Jr., Nicholas A. Valente
Physics Faculty Publications
We present and evaluate the Merrimack College Mobile Lightboard, which we built in 2017 and which is still in use in 2025. Our design was closely based on that of the groundbreaking 2014 Duke University Lightboard but with a smaller glass pane, 5 feet wide instead of 6 feet wide. The resulting scaled-down board is small enough to move in and out of individual faculty offices, but large enough to make detailed videos. An updated construction cost estimate is provided, and recent upgrades are briefly discussed. We believe that personalized office-based lightboarding represents an attractive option for many faculty members, …
Data Property & Digital Sales, Christina Mulligan
Data Property & Digital Sales, Christina Mulligan
Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review
Copyright law fails utterly to develop a coherent concept of "digital sales." Printed books and vinyl records are easily sold and resold, with the copyright holder’s permission or under the first sale doctrine. But a creator of digital copyrighted works who wants to analogously “sell” their work to buyers faces what borders on an absurdity; “digital sales” of copyrighted works are incoherent at worst and useless at best. As a result, sophisticated copyright owners almost never sell their works and only license purchasers to make particular uses of digital works, such as “personal uses” or reproducing the work on a …
Presidential Power And Administrating Injustice In Removal Proceedings, Beth K. Zilberman
Presidential Power And Administrating Injustice In Removal Proceedings, Beth K. Zilberman
Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review
Presidential regime changes often lead to notable shifts in federal policy and raise important questions about how the executive branch manages high-volume adjudication systems within the broader administrative state. While managing an enormous caseload, federal mass-adjudication systems make determinations concerning individuals’ disputes with the government across various subject areas that disproportionately affect disadvantaged populations. The outcomes of these adjudication systems have profound impacts on the lives of vulnerable individuals compelled to appear before these administrative tribunals. The scale and life-altering consequences of these adjudications highlight the need for a deeper examination of the procedural protections afforded by agencies to some …
