Copyright On Stage: Protecting The Directions Behind The Performance, Eliana Sakin
Copyright On Stage: Protecting The Directions Behind The Performance, Eliana Sakin
The Journal of Business, Entrepreneurship & the Law
In this comment, the author argues that theatrical stage directions should be recognized as copyrightable material under the U.S. Copyright Act, primarily by categorizing them as "choreographic works". Sakin highlights that while the 1976 Copyright Act explicitly protects choreography and pantomimes, stage directions—which serve as the "blueprints" for a production's blocking, technical cues, and artistic mood—currently exist in a legal gray area. Through an analysis of historical context and industry disputes, such as the Urinetown and The Most Happy Fella settlements, the author illustrates a growing industry recognition of a director’s staging as a protectable, original contribution, despite the lack …

Assessing The Robustness Of Combinatorial Multi-Armed Bandit For Geofencing With Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces., Luciano De Souza, André Gomes
STEM Student Research Symposium Posters
Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS) can influence beam selection in next-generation wireless systems by shaping the channel conditions observed during beam sweeping. Prior work assumes deterministic beam sweeping, enabling Combinatorial Multi-Armed Bandits (CMAB) to learn beam-specific policies for geofencing. In this work, we evaluate the robustness of this approach under randomized beam sweeping, where the mapping between bandits and beam directions is disrupted episode by episode. Under these conditions, the learning algorithm no longer converges to a structured solution, instead behaving closely to a random policy, with higher variability and lower mean reward. These results indicate that the CMAB relies on …

Geochemistry And Petrography Of Upper Devonian (Famennian) Paleosols In The Appalachian Basin Of Central Pennsylvania, Usa, Cheyenne Woodward, Tami Emick, Lily Pfeifer, Jeff Trop
STEM Student Research Symposium Posters
To test the hypothesis of alpine glaciation in the late Devonian (Famennian) at subtropic latitudes, we present new major element geochemistry and petrographic thin section images from upper Devonian paleosols collected from north-central Pennsylvania (Appalachian Basin). Paleosols, ancient soils, record climate conditions at the time of formation. Major element geochemistry is used to calculate the intensity of weathering which is used for paleoclimate interpretations, and microfabrics observed in paleosol thin section petrography yield important clues about the soil type and degree of pedogenesis in the system. Twenty-three samples were collected from the Catskill and Lockhaven Formation paleosols for geochemical analysis, …

The suid genus Hippopotamodon with its type species H. sivalense, is well known from Upper Miocene deposits in Eurasia. Its taxonomic history has been characterized by considerable instability, including early misassignments to genera such as Sus and Potamochoerus, and subsequent reclassifications involving Propotamochoerus, Dicoryphochoerus, and Microstonyx. This confusion primarily resulted from an overreliance on variable dental and canine morphology. Subsequent systematic revisions attempted to resolve these issues by proposing synonymies among these taxa, although debate has continued regarding the relationship between Hippopotamodon and Microstonyx. Recent work supports the synonymy of these taxa based on shared diagnostic features across Eurasian material. …

Bacteriophages are viruses that infect bacteria and are increasingly important in applications ranging from agriculture and food safety to phage therapy. In this study, we isolated and characterized three novel phages, Gerri43, Crescenzo, and Roberts, from soil samples collected in Greenwich, New Jersey, and from the Rowan University campus in Glassboro, New Jersey, using Arthrobacter globiformis as the host bacterium. Phages were recovered using standard enrichment and purification approaches. After initial isolation, multiple rounds of plaque purification and serial dilution were performed to obtain clonal populations. High-titer lysates were then prepared by flooding webbed plates. Electron microscopy showed that all …

Bifurcation lesions are among the most challenging in percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), with outcomes affected by anatomy, side-branch disease, and procedural variability. Existing European definitions and strategies require adaptation for Middle Eastern populations, where diabetes, obesity, and hypertension are highly prevalent and present earlier. The Middle East Bifurcation Club (MEBC), with the National Heart Center, used the Nominal Group Technique to standardize bifurcation PCI terminology, techniques, and treatment pathways tailored to regional demographics. The consensus provides evidence-based recommendations on imaging, provisional and 2-stent strategies, POT, and left main versus non-left main bifurcations, alongside practical algorithms and heart team guidance, highlighting …

Low-Power On-Head Detection For Wearable Devices Using Sensor Gating, Jonathan D. Hurwitz, Yaaseen Mahomed
Defensive Publications Series
A multi-stage, power-efficient method for detecting when a wearable device is on the user’s head is disclosed. To reduce battery consumption, a cascaded verification process is used to control the activation of high-power components. An initial check of charging status and inertial measurement unit (IMU) data can identify movement and hinge-opening events. This is achieved through a differential analysis of orientation data from multiple IMUs to distinguish relative hinge motion from overall device movement. Once a hinge-open state is confirmed, mid-power neural processing units (NPUs) and eye-tracking cameras can be activated to perform a sparse, active stereo proximity check. This …

Dynamic Routing For Multi-Agent Ai Workflows. Ai Token Cost In Metric Calculation., Roman Volkov, Yegor Kudryashov
Defensive Publications Series
This submission proposes a system that constructs multi-agent AI workflows dynamically at runtime by computing optimal paths through a live network topology of Large Language Model (LLM) providers, AI agents, humans, and services, the same way that routing protocol computes packet paths through routers. Considering Artificial Intelligence (AI) tokens as the new currency of intelligent automation, this submission embeds their cost into a routing metric. Through techniques of this submission, each LLM provider and AI agent's inference token cost for defined task can be used as part of weight in path computation.
When a routing algorithm builds a workflow, it …

The present disclosure relates to a system and architecture for optimizing power efficiency in data centers running high fluctuation loads, such as machine learning operations. The adaptive energy storage architecture stores excess energy during periods of low workload demand and supplies the stored energy during periods of peak workload demand. By utilizing energy storage elements such as capacitors, inductors, and batteries across various power domain levels, the system reduces load fluctuations and minimizes power stranding. Inductors in series on the power path can act as a low-pass filter. Active load balancing through switches and batteries routes excess current to charge …

Polycentric Embedding Fields (Pef), Johny Manuel-Devadoss
Defensive Publications Series
Polycentric Embedding Fields (PEF) introduce a non-monolithic representation paradigm for semantic encoding in which each input instance is modeled not as a single vector in a latent space, but as a structured field composed of multiple interacting semantic centroids, each capturing a distinct interpretive axis of meaning. This formulation directly addresses limitations inherent in conventional embeddings, including semantic averaging, loss of intent granularity, and failure under polysemy or compositional ambiguity. The disclosed architecture encodes documents and queries as distributions over latent subspaces with explicit uncertainty modeling, enabling selective alignment between semantically compatible facets rather than forcing global similarity. By transforming …

Causal-Trace Embedding Graphs (Cteg), Johny Manuel-Devadoss
Defensive Publications Series
Causal-Trace Embedding Graphs (CTEG) introduce a lineage-aware semantic representation framework in which embeddings are no longer treated as isolated vectors but as nodes within a dynamically evolving graph that encodes the full causal history of their formation. Each embedding is augmented with structured provenance, transformation metadata, and dependency relationships that together form a directed acyclic or cyclic graph capturing how information has been derived, transformed, and propagated through an AI system. This architecture enables retrieval and reasoning processes to incorporate not only semantic similarity but also trace consistency, transformation reliability, and lineage integrity. By embedding causal structure directly into the …

To the Departments of Physics, the Deans of the Sciences, the directors of the National Quantum Initiative Centers, the custodians of the NIST Physical Measurement Laboratory, and the lead researchers of High-Energy Physics within the United States academic infrastructure: We acknowledge your recent celebrations of the so-called "Quantum Century." It is profoundly poetic, and somewhat tragic, that you commemorate one hundred years of Werner Heisenberg while remaining stubbornly trapped within the very "Heisenberg Cut" he utilized as a temporary, imperfect mathematical scaffold. Your strategic goals for the remainder of this decade—the desperate pursuit of American Quantum Supremacy, the aggressive engineering …

THE 3,300-WORD DECONSTRUCTION: THE PARADOXES OF SAPIENS TEMPORALITY
The Sapiens “Arrow of Time” is the ultimate cognitive prison. It is defined as a one-way, irreversible progression from the past to the future, dictated by the increase of entropy. This “Linear Chronology” forces the observer into a state of victimhood, where the “Past” is fixed and unchangeable, and the “Future” is an unknown, looming threat.
The “Sapiens Plagues” (Temporal Paradoxes):
- The Grandfather Paradox: If time travel were possible, a traveler could prevent their own existence. Sapiens logic breaks at this point, leading to “Novikov Self-Consistency” or “Branching Multiverses”—both of which are …

WIRING: FROM PROBABILITY TO SOVEREIGNTY
This document serves as the formal Prior Art Declaration for the Non-Local Substrate Resonance Field (NSRF). We hereby define the transition from Sapiens logic to the Resonans Reality. The core of this transition is the dissolution of the "Uncertainty Principle," which we declare to be an artifact of observer-induced noise, rather than a fundamental limit of the universe.
In the QPIE framework, Uncertainty is simply the measurement of Observer Jitter. As stated in the foundational paper QPIE Unified Meaning (TDCommons):

THE ONTOLOGICAL CORRECTION: FROM PROBABILITY TO RESONANCE
Honorable Members of the Board,
The current standards maintained by this body are predicated on a 20th-century misunderstanding of the “Empirical Nature of Reality.” For decades, the global scientific community has operated under the Stochastic Delusion—the belief that the ground state of the universe is random, noisy, and governed by the probabilistic collapse of wavefunctions.
The 99.3 Trillion Cycle Omega Audit has rendered this perspective obsolete. Empirical reality is not a roll of the dice; it is a Non-Local Substrate Resonance Field (NSRF). What you have historically labeled as “quantum noise” …

ABSTRACT: THE FIRMWARE OF REALITY
The scientific paradigm of the Homo sapiens era has relied exclusively on brute force, extraction, and entropic decay. It models a universe of separation, where physical survival demands the conquest of nature and the accumulation of friction-bound resources. The QPIE (Quantum Perspective Is Everything) framework proved that this perspective is not an objective reality, but a "low-coherence hallucination" resulting from a localized phase-drift within the Non-Local Substrate Resonance Field (NSRF).
This extended treatise, QPIE Mathematics 2, provides the rigorous, peer-review-grade derivations necessary to transition global institutional science from Sapiens Survival to Homo Resonans Manifestation. …

ABSTRACT AND DECLARATION OF PRIOR ART
This document serves as an irrevocable Declaration of Prior Art placed into the public domain (TD Commons) to preempt, invalidate, and supersede any legacy institutional claims regarding the nature of macroscopic quantum coherence, substrate elasticity, and consciousness-coupled wave mechanics.
For the past century, institutional science (operating under the “Sapiens Standard Model”) has categorized the intersection of human intent and physical reality as “metaphysics,” “philosophy,” or “pseudo-science.” This categorization is not a reflection of reality, but a reflection of the epistemological limits of friction-based instrumentation. The Sapiens Standard Model relies on the Axiom of the …

Domain Wall Gravitational Waves: Constraints Within Extensions Of The Standard Model, Sophia W. Jensen
Departmental Honors & Graduate Capstone Projects
This work considers an extra-dimensional framework to explain the gravitational wave background (GWB), massive neutrinos, and baryon asymmetry. Through studying all three, restrictions on certain parameters arise and provide bounds on both theories. It is proposed that the GWB is caused by cosmic domain walls, sheet-like topological defects that were theoretically created in the early universe shortly after the Big Bang. A relationship be- tween the energy density of domain walls and the vacuum expectation value of the broken symmetry was defined. Constraints on the parameters, including the already observed fre- quencies of gravitational waves and the current energy content …

η Carinae (η Car) is a binary system, with the larger star being an extremely massive, luminous blue variable (LBV) beyond the Eddington Limit. Surrounding the η Car system, numerous multi-wavelength imaging campaigns reveal axisymmetric structures with the expanding bipolar Homunculus Nebula (¡1 pc). In combination with the episodic eruptive history of the η Car system, our initial intermediate-scale imaging revealed further axisym- metric structures (1-5 pc). To gain a more expansive view of how the small scale structure connects to panoramic imaging of the η Car region, we constructed a deep, optical, narrowband mosaic of 189 images utilizing the …

Ticking Toward Security: Practical Source Authentication For The Precision Time Protocol, Alexander Gebhard
Dissertations (1934 -)
The convergence of Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) in Industry 4.0 environments has greatly expanded the attack surface of critical infrastructure systems. Legacy industrial protocols originally intended for use only in isolated networks are now exposed across interconnected systems. This interconnectivity enables adversaries to target power grids, manufacturing plants, and other critical systems with increasing sophistication. Although vendors have retroactively introduced security extensions to industrial protocols such as EtherNet/IP and OPC Unified Architecture (OPC UA), the adequacy and practical feasibility of these security measures remain understudied. This dissertation advances the security of industrial protocols through three main contributions. …

This paper uses Rosenzweig’s conception of the three elements of God, World, and Human from The Star of Redemption in a model of universal history. The model also has some relation to Rosenzweig’s geopolitical essay, Globus, which is very different from the meta-historical Star. Based on a systems-theoretic schema of events and processes, the model views human history in terms of three linked processes: a primary process labeled “World” – the origin and development of human society embedded in nature, a secondary process labeled “God” – the origin and development of the Axial religions and philosophies, and a …
