Assessing The Need For A Feminist Foreign Policy In Ecuador Through A Sentiment Analysis Based On Neutroalgebra, Daniela Cecilia Márquez Carriel, Luis Oña Garces, Arnaldo Vergara Romero, Fidel Márquez Sanchez
Neutrosophic Sets and Systems
This paper examines the potential for a feminist foreign policy in Ecuador, a concept gaining global attention but still new in local debates. While Ecuador's foreign policy has historically focused on economic and strategic interests, the rising influence of feminist movements is prompting discussions about integrating gender perspectives into diplomacy, trade, and international aid. Using neutrosophic sentiment analysis, the study finds divided opinions: while "Gender Equality" and "Human Rights" receive stable support, the "Economic Impact" variable shows significant uncertainty. Some view a feminist foreign policy as a way to enhance Ecuador's global standing and gender equity, while others are skeptical …

Radio Propagation Through Density Irregularities In The Auroral Ionosphere, Pralay Raj Vaggu
Radio Propagation Through Density Irregularities In The Auroral Ionosphere, Pralay Raj Vaggu
Doctoral Dissertations and Master's Theses
A radio wave propagating through a structured or turbulent ionosphere undergoes multiple effects, such as refraction, diffraction, etc., that distort the incident radio wave by inducing phase and amplitude fluctuations. These fluctuations are called ionospheric scintillation. Scintillation effects can be detrimental to Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) such as Global Positioning System (GPS), but the observed effects can be used as a tool to study the underlying plasma process that causes scintillation. Scintillation is commonly seen in equatorial and high-latitude regions. This study centers around the scintillation and its causative plasma processes that dominantly happen in the high-latitude ionosphere …

Torus Surgery, Fibrations, Multisections, And Spun 4-Manifolds, Nicholas Paul Meyer
Torus Surgery, Fibrations, Multisections, And Spun 4-Manifolds, Nicholas Paul Meyer
Dissertations and Doctoral Documents, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, 2023–
A compact n-manifold X is fibered if it is a fiber bundle where the fiber F and base space B are manifolds. Fibered manifolds are particularly nice, as they are essentially classified by their monodromy maps. Two common examples of 4-dimensional fibered manifolds are surface bundles over surfaces and 3-manifold bundles over the circle.
The main focus of this dissertation is to investigate fibered 4-manifolds whose boundaries are the 3-torus and how these manifolds glue together to give new closed, fibered 4-manifolds. In particular, suppose W is diffeomorphic to S1 × EY (K) where Y …

A Study Of Electron- And Photon-Induced Dissociative Electron Attachment To Molecules And Within Anion-Molecule Clusters, Mahmudul Hasan
Dissertations and Doctoral Documents, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, 2023–
Dissociative electron attachment (DEA) is a resonant process in which a molecule captures a low-energy electron, forming a transient negative ion (TNI). Subsequently, this unstable TNI fragments into a stable anion and one or more neutral fragments. DEA is crucial in various phenomena, ranging from atmospheric and radiation chemistry to processes occurring in plasmas, and is particularly significant in the context of radiation-induced damage to biological molecules. This study uses different experimental methods to better understand the fragmentation in molecular anions forming through dissociative photoexcitation and electron attachment. We have developed an experimental apparatus for dissociative photoexcitation studies. This apparatus …

Business Model Choice For Heavy Equipment Manufacturer, Philippe Blaettchen, Niyazi Taneri, Sameer Hasija
Research Collection Lee Kong Chian School Of Business
Technological advances enable new business models for heavy equipment manufacturers wherein customers access equipment without ownership. We seek to understand the profitability and environmental performance of different emerging business models in light of salient economic and operational factors. We develop a game-theoretic model to identify the optimal choice between a traditional ownership-based business model and two access-based models: servicization and peer-to-peer sharing. After-sales services, equipment characteristics, usage environments, and fuel prices affect this choice. We also provide a novel framework to analyze business models’ environmental impact, which incorporates trade-offs between economic value and environmental costs and shows that all models …

Conductometric And Computational Study Of Chloramphenicol At Different Solvents And Temperatures, Amel G. Abed
Baghdad Science Journal
In the present work, the electrical conductivity of chloramphenicol was measured in water and methanol at different temperature degrees 293-313 K. The parameters of conductivity equivalent conductance at infinite dilution ( Λ0), the association constant (KA) and distance parameter (R) were all recorded by using Lee-Wheaton equation and the thermodynamic parameters (ΔH, ΔG, and ΔS) were calculated as well. The behavior of a compound can be predicted through computational calculations; taking 2,2-dichloro-N-[(1R,2S)-1,3-dihydroxy-1-(4-nitrophenyl) propan-2-yl] acetamide, for example. There is an abundance of theoretical information available about how this compound behaves in different solvents, such as water and methanol. The secret lies …
Employing Novel Ranking Function For Solving Fully Fuzzy Fractional Linear Programming Problems, Israa H. Hasan, Iden H. Al Kanani
Employing Novel Ranking Function For Solving Fully Fuzzy Fractional Linear Programming Problems, Israa H. Hasan, Iden H. Al Kanani
Baghdad Science Journal
Fuzzy programming is especially useful in cases where the coefficients are ambiguous. Because of this feature, in recent years, numerous techniques have emerged for addressing uncertainty. This paper proposes a novel ranking function technique with variables of type decagonal fuzzy numbers for solving fully fuzzy fractional linear programming (FFFLP) problems. This technique is dependent on introducing a new membership function for a decagonal fuzzy number and using a fully fuzzy simplex method. After converting the FFFLP problem to the fully fuzzy linear programming (FFLP) problem by a complementary method, then solved with the fully fuzzy simplex tables, in which all …
Oscillation Of The Impulsive Hematopoiesis Model With Positive And Negative Coefficients, Iman Sabeeh Hadeed, Hussain Ali Mohamad
Oscillation Of The Impulsive Hematopoiesis Model With Positive And Negative Coefficients, Iman Sabeeh Hadeed, Hussain Ali Mohamad
Baghdad Science Journal
In this paper, the problem of oscillating solutions for an impulsive hematopoiesis model with positive and negative coefficients is investigated. There are several evolutionary processes, which frequently encounter dramatic shifts at specific times and are sensitive to short-term perturbations. As a result, we construct several oscillation criteria that are either brand-new or enhance many of recent findings in the literature. We also give illustrations of how impulsiveness affects the oscillating solutions of the hematopoiesis model.

Hopf Bifurcation Of Three-Dimensional Quadratic Jerk System, Tahsin I. Rasul, Rizgar H. Salih
Baghdad Science Journal
This paper is devoted to investigating the Hopf bifurcation of a three-dimensional quadratic jerk system. The stability of the singular points, the appearance of the Hopf bifurcation and the limit cycles of the system are studied. Additionally, the Liapunov quantities technique is used to study the cyclicity of the system and find how many limit cycles can be bifurcated from the Hopf points. Due to the computational load required for computing Liapunov quantities, some parameters are fixed. Currently, the analysis shows that three limit cycles can be bifurcated from the Hopf points. The results presented in this study are verified …

An effective method for resolving non-linear partial differential equations with fractional derivatives is the New Sumudu Transform Iterative Method (NSTIM). It excels at solving difficult mathematical puzzles and offers insightful information about the behaviour of time-fractional Fisher equations. The method, which makes use of Caputo's sense derivatives and Wolfram in Mathematica, is reliable, simple to use, and gives a visual depiction of the solution. The analytical findings demonstrate that the proposed approach is effective and simple in generating precise solutions for the time-fractional Fisher equations. The results are made more reliable and applicable by including Caputo's sense derivatives. Mathematical modelling …

Development Of A Large Format Additive Manufacturing System Based On An Off-The-Self Pellet Extruder, Aywan Das
Development Of A Large Format Additive Manufacturing System Based On An Off-The-Self Pellet Extruder, Aywan Das
Theses and Dissertations
Large Format Additive Manufacturing (LFAM), or Big Area Additive Manufacturing (BAAM), was introduced to resolve the limitations of the low deposition rate, low scalability, and therefore long print times, of traditional 3D printing methods when applied to the manufacturing of large structures and tooling. LFAM can be used to overcome the high conventional tooling costs of large structures. However, even with robotic setups, LFAM still mainly relies on quasi-planar, 2.5D printing strategies. This fails to reap the advantages of multi-axis printing, such as improved adhesion, reduced support material use, and the ability to create complex curved surfaces. In this research, …

Design And Development Of A Direct Medium Voltage Solar Pv Resonant Inverter, Parthkumar Sureshkumar Bhuvela
Theses and Dissertations
In a grid-tied photovoltaic (PV) system connected to a medium voltage (MV) grid, an inverter is generally employed with a line frequency transformer (LFT) to connect to the grid. These LFTs are large in size and weight, exhibit high cost and losses. In recent studies, the LFTs replaced by are by (high frequency transformer) HFT embedded in DC-DC converters. These DC-DC converters are used to boost voltage levels and DC-AC inverters are employed for MV inversion. This leads to high frequency switching at MV which increases losses in inversion stage. In this study, a novel MV grid-connected solar PV inverter …

Multidimensional Simulation Of Cool Diffusion Flame, Ejaz Ahmed
Theses and Dissertations
Understanding the behavior of spherical cool diffusion flames in microgravity conditions is crucial for advancing combustion research. This knowledge has significant implications for both fundamental science and practical applications, such as spacecraft fire safety and the development of advanced, high-efficiency engines that benefit from low-temperature chemistry. Spherical cool diffusion flames are typically characterized by peak temperatures between 500 and 1000K and are often followed by the radiative extinction of a hot flame. Some low-temperature ignitions can sustain indefinitely at around 700K, leading to chain-branching pathways that produce intermediate species such as C2H4, H2O2, HO2, CH2O, CH3O, and HCO. In some …

Enhancing The Security In High-Speed Networks Using P4 Programmable Switches, Ali Alsabeh
Enhancing The Security In High-Speed Networks Using P4 Programmable Switches, Ali Alsabeh
Theses and Dissertations
Network security has become increasingly essential in today's networks due to the growth of various network applications, such as Machine Learning (ML) and Fifth-Generation (5G) Networks. One fundamental Internet protocol is the Domain Name System (DNS), which maps domain names to Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. Despite its importance, DNS traffic is often forwarded without being analyzed, making it a center of ever-evolving attacks. Traditionally, defense strategies are implemented on fixed-function security middleboxes that are costly, proprietary, and hard to manage. Alternatively, defenses implemented in software use general-purpose servers (e.g., the control plane of a Software-Defined Networking (SDN) network) that cannot …

Automatic differentiation (AD) is a powerful tool for evaluating numerical derivatives. In particular, reverse-mode AD provides numerical gradients in a way that is insensitive to the number of input variables. This makes reverse-mode AD well-suited for solving large optimization problems. However, reverse-mode AD has a particularly large associated memory cost because most intermediate values in operations need to be cached. This is problematic for large problems such as aerodynamics simulations, though, since the memory requirements can quickly become impractical. The solution implemented in this work is to provide analytic pullback expressions for functions for which many of the intermediate values …
